Personally I like the idea of having an earnable item having some exclusivity, it being totally free makes it not a shitty business move. I like the comp weapons and getting one still makes me excited even though I’ve got 17 of them at this point and I think having the separate currency makes the Jade weapons more valuable since players that have like 20k comp points banked can’t just insta get them.
I said it before and I’ll keep saying it rivals is the best thing to happen to overwatch. If anyone has taken business before you’ll know how good competition is for the game

Honestly competitive points should just be competitive points. Gold,Jade or whatever the next weapon skin is. If you put the time in to earn comp points you should be able to pick the weapon skin you want.
I hate their reward system and putting everything behind FOMO, here are the drives that will make your name shine for a little bit that you can get only in those 3 days! here is one color variant per year that you can only unlock now and not in another year! Like holy shit, why they have to make it so tedious and limited, why not just make drives permanent thing that you can customize in the profile, why not make like 10 different color variants right away and make them available whenever? animated sprays were amazing in ow1, they were a flex and still are and now you dont even get that, reaching higher rank doesnt give you better reward or anything to flex unless you are talking about seasonal challenger title which again are just temporary instead of making it something like "season 10 master"
Seeing Flats so uninterested in Overwatch related stuff is kinda insane. Marvel Rivals' impact on the hero shooter players is actually crazy. It's like the devs of MR took everything the Overwatch players wanted and put it into their game with a cool twist on a lot of the hero shooter things.

I LOVE 6v6. I never played overwatch one. I have 700+ hours on OW2 most on competitive. Masters peak on dps and support. I would love to see a 6v6 competitive. Bye bye 5v5
I'm in the same boat as you. If they don't make 6v6 comp a permanent mode I'll sadly have to leave overwatch for rivals. Which sucks because I love overwatch but 5v5 is horrible especially after trying the test and rivals. I have had so much fun playing tank. I never play tank in 5v5. But in this test I've played mostly tank. Ram, Dva, and junker queen are so damn fun.

They definitely going to push to do MORE of what the community has been asking for since rivals is here and they are actively having players swap back and forth. Overwatch has got a big year coming up on if they can handle competition or not. Here's to hoping they listen and give back to the fans MORE then these passed couple of years. (Especially after season 6s catastrophe)
6v6 is the way the game was meant to be played. Super tanks will never not be boring. If they don't bring 6v6 in the future, im never playing the game again.

I remember in one of your stream when you wondering, "If Overwatch 2 has done much for the past two years." And when you read the end part of the blog, it made me feel bitter because I feel like we haven't done much for the past two years. When Overwatch 2 launched with Overwatch gone, we have lost several things for just a shop update especially the PVE which was the whole point of the number 2 existing. The competitiveness side has been the main focus while on the casual side, I felt there isn't much to look forward to other than the competitiveness. With Marvel Rival existing, I hope this is a wake up call for Overwatch that they need to get their things together and actually start putting out more efforts. Because for the past two years, I feel they're just relying on our loyalty. We keeping hoping that they'll do better but I feel it hasn't come yet. I hope they look on what made Overwatch great back then and maybe consider it for Overwatch 2. I never thought that Marvel Rival would give me this same old Overwatch feeling but it has. I now have the options of Marvel Rivals and Overwatch existing. Like you said, competition is good and Marvel Rival should be that "wake up" call for Overwatch to get there things together.
Having never played the original OW I have to say that I have only been queuing 6v6 lately. It's so much more fun and involved whereas I feel like 5v5 is so boring. And despite being a hardcore support main I've even been playing some tank games lately and the difference is incredible. I've always hated the way it feels to play tank in 5v5 because it relies on you so much, on 6v6 it's more forgiving to the tank role and personally I feel like I dont die nearly as fast. I'm hopeful that these changes stick around.
is 47%-50% not healthier then 55-57%? I think he was too weak in the test and then a little too strong on season release but seeing how they reacted to those numbers felt weird to me.
Aim smoothing is probably at fault for the difference in Console. The default value of 100 makes turning way too slow. They need to add descriptions and graphs so people know to lower it on certain heroes. Also, increasing the max sensitivity to 200 would be helpful so close range heroes don’t struggle trying to track on Dualzone
Honestly, I'm really hoping for 2 things to come from Overwatch in the near future. 1) Patches to the 2-2-2 Play Test: I would like to see some of the Heroes, mainly the Tanks, getting some of their cool stuff back. Namely Zarya's shared Bubble Cooldowns and Reinhardt's Charge control. My hope is that they have some changes each week during the 2-2-2 Play Test in order to give us a wider variety of examples for what we could have. 2) The Removal or Weakening of Role Passives: Imo, Role Passives are band aid Solutions for wider problems within the game. I feel like we need to get the Healing and Damage numbers under control, and have Hero Passives on similar to the Role Passives, as needed, on a per Hero basis.
the shared bubbles make zarya 1000000x less fun because it removes all thinking(the worst part about 5v5 and all the tank changes associated). Same way reinhardt cant get his firestrikes back, and shouldnt be able to cancel his pin. Anything that takes away risk and decisions should never happen. Both reinhardt and zarya are way more fun in 6v6 than 5v5.
@@ezrn8274 At the same time taking control away from the player can feel weird and also awkward. If you had a platformer where the controls were unresponsive, it would technically have more risk to everything, just not in a way that's fun. Let Reinhardt have more pin control.
The first year of Overwatch 2.0 felt like we were stil in the beta, second year they finally found their flow, regarding balance, but stil no actual content only semi-recycled stuff and no rewards for anything. Blizz really needs to do something big regarding Overwatch soon, the lack of support compared to other live-service games is criminal. So many features regarding ui and community stil havent found their way into the game 2 years after its launch... why cant i watch replays of my teammates, where is the guildsystem?

Holy damage-control! Guys, I have evolved - I can now see through the smoke that I once couldn't! I used to fall for these PR messages. Like, "Wow, they really care"... no they don't. They care about not losing their jobs when the earnings-report comes in. This is nothing but an attempt to kiss our behinds and butter us up. I loved Overwatch 1 so damn much, which is why I cling on to this tiny hope for this game. But the people behind it have made a big mess. I don't want words from Blizzard. I will return if and when I see action.

Maybe, but last year for Xmas they had a bunch of shop skins purchasable with the legacy / white currency. And they also had that mini Christmas even with the tickets you could earn to get free skins. I think we’ve yet to see Blizzards reaction.

I'm sorry but trying to bring console win rates and pc win rates together sounds incredibly dumb 90% of the time. Unless there is a bug, glitch, or etc. console is probably always going to have a lower win rate for the higher skilled heroes because quite frankly console players are more casual and not as good as pc (this coming from a console player). They even admit themselves that hazard takes more work on a controller to work with but it doesn't sound like they are going to do quality of life to help but instead buff actual stats. Also its 2 different pools of players so win rates differing is not bad (rainbow six siege, a game that actually shows the win rates has a good bit of difference between the console and pc players, including in which operators are banned but that's not bad it's just two different preferred pools.). Imagine if they nerfed dive because it's popular in the Asia region for instance. Edit: this whole comment is against them buffing/nerfing a character based on the stats being different between console and PC. Quality of life or additional settings to smooth out gameplay are fine. It's just scary hearing them balance anything on win rate
I personally think pc crossplay was a bad idea for the console players. I get the playing with your friends thing, but back in the day when they had slightly different patches to make the less aim heavy heroes less oppressive on console it was probably overall somewhat better for everyone. (Pharah being a key example back then). The limits of aiming on console really inhibit what they can do with the game to properly make things balance out. Can't make low-aim heroes as strong on pc and can't make aim intensive heroes as strong on console. All that and its not even crossplay for comp anyway, so what's the point, really, in having identical balance beyond qp and arcade queue times, which were never as significant of a problem to begin with.
@@phil1500i half agree, i play with my pc friends and really dgaf. we just mindlessly play, also i usually have no problem playing against pc players. although it is qp. i feel like there is a misconception that console cant aim for shit, thats just not true. the most difficult thing to do on console is flicks and turn arounds. mnk is 100% better on average, dont get me wrong. but idk why people exaggerate how hard it is to aim on a controller, shooters were literally initially made for controllers. the issue is most console players are casuals, they dont take the game as seriously on average. so they could still do patches specifically for console comp that slightly changes stuff. thats where i partially agree, torb and sym turrets were slightly nerfed before. same for pharah, as well as buffs for heroes like tracer, genji, winston who would benefit from it.

Blizzard loves to buff things and don't nerf things (especially for support). Meanwhile for siege they consistently nerf, nerf, and nerf. Instead of buffing things to be fun they nerf everything to make it less fun but apparently more balanced.
This whole 6v6 thing is such bait. They just need to make ranked 6v6 again instead of doing these stupid “tests”. No one is gonna take 6v6 unranked seriously so how would they even know what to balance…? They are just 100% taking advantage of their players and seeing how long they can hold off on reverting back to 6v6. And when the game is finally close to EoS they’re gonna pull out the “6v6 is back (for real) this time!”
Because OW devs want characters to be deliberately overturned when they come out(there’s a few dev blogs that came out after LW and Maugas release that says this). It’s because nobody wants to play a character that feels bad, even though a character can actually be really well balanced.(Nobody knows how to play them so early)

100% and it would be good for game longevity. TF2 is still played and has more players than OW right now despite getting no real gameplay updates, that being maps. Let players make their own maps, especially since now OW is connected to Steam.
i for one DON'T understand why they would change the old competitive points system. all we wanted was more than a golden weapon variant, and instead they said "fuck you, legacy points." it's literally just a recolor, they should be experts at this point.
The legacy points are a waste of time cuase not very many will have enough for a gold gun anyway. We don't even have any need for them at all now anyway. It is many times easier to just earn the new points. Legacy points is like a long term depositbox that will take some years to realistically use assuming one speant their comp credits around the time gun rewards were updated.
I played overwatch 2 because they announce that it will have a pve content/story mode but then announced it was cancelled...then they remove the currency you get in battle pass and its the last straw for me

Marvel Rivals devs have said they have no plans to introduce role queue to the game. The only reason overwatch even got role queue is because of brig and goats meta. Not gonna be a problem in rivals, so you can enjoy those 2 second queues without worrying about them going anywhere lol
Role queue would help games in Rivals feel a bit better, but it would severely increase queue times. For that reason alone, it's in their best interest to keep things how they are & let OW stick with role queue.

I hope the min 1 max 3 gets a competitive mode. I don’t think it’d be good for role q because of q times. Since q times aren’t an issue in that format having a ranked mode would be much better.
Taking jades away and dumping all of the unspent points into legacy (tbf, we knew the latter was happening) just means longtime players will have an even bigger pool of unspent points because they already have all the golden weapons and had only a few heroes to spend legacy points on. This isn’t sustainable in the long run. Just move jades into the legacy points category, otherwise what's the point?

balance isn't enough for a new hero, they have to be fun to fight against. I'm not sure how hazard helps any of that, no matter how healthy his win rate is.
What no one really seems to be mentioning is how Marvel Rivals is more so competing with Call of Duty at this point because of the overall consensus that Cod is in a terrible State due to hacking and marble Rivals just makes everyone happy for an extra week which is something a lot of people will accept because anyone likes taking a cheap way to get happiness

The devs dont need competition. They love the game and want it to succeed. The bonehead execs are the ones that needed to see this competition to finally take this seriously and give the devs the resources and freedom they need.. or it will make them micromanage even further
Honestly I wasn't hyped for Rivals before but started to get interested before it released. I was eager to try it but I don't have a console that can run it so I couldn't download it since my console can't run it apparently. I was upset for a while at Rivals (not actually deserved hate just spite due to the all the poor OW talk since I couldnt feell the greener grass side) but regardless of that I do hope Rivals pushes OW to improve since I have been playing it for years. If not then I suppose I'll eventually be able to play Rivals and see if I enjoy it as well
They brought me back in with 6v6. And I’m met with the inability to continue earning green guns. Green is my favorite color bruh. I hope they introduce Jade into legacy ASAP after it’s out for a *short* while Wtaf

I think bastion is a fun killer in 6v6, he does so much damage with turret form AND grandes all while doing the 15% DMG passive. Can't have fun with tank when a bastion shows up.
i wonder what the new weapons will be? ruby? pink? diamond? soo many options. and i did like the jade weapon skins. it fits really good on certan heros and skins. just hope they dont fully remove them. and maybe they will add them back to be purchased with legacy instead/new comp points. we made them do it for gold when jade was added. i think we can do it again.
They just arent needed, single passives like reinhardt steadfast or a roadhog ult charge reduction (for damaging him) are good, but the role passives are annoying
I didn’t realize people disliked them lol I personally didn’t really mind them like I’m ngl the tanks taking like no boop distance blows but they nerfed it and it felt moderately better I really don’t mind the passives that much I think they can add a smaller in depth dimension to the game they probably just need to do different ones.
They won't keep it from the playtest, they'll have to fully implement it once they decide on what that format should look like. Personally, I think that's a terrible idea and they need to jump the gun now, make it standard, put it in comp, leave a 5v5 qp open for people who like that if you want. Then when queue times become a problem we experiment with some flex spots and a min/max role setting
It’s kinda hard to tell if 6v6 is balanced anyway. If we have a ranked mode we’ll have a better idea. having teammates afk in the first 20-30 seconds of a match and leavers makes it hard to tell if it’s good or not. People are less likely to leave/throw a ranked game even on a Smurf account for the most part.
Balancing won’t be the issue. The issue was always not enough tank players. Even with 1 tank, the queue to play tank is less than other roles. The only exception is if a new tank is released and people want to try it out.
why so much 6v6 test? they are gonna end up adding 6v6 and keep 5v5 so we can continue separating the playerbase in 2 main gamemodes and increasing queue times...

2:54 i think its just an inaccurate comparison to other launches, there arent as many skillful players to mid max him, were all playing marvel rivals, and im sure overwatch losing large portions of certain types of players will effect its balance alot since overwatch doesnt balance around a philosophy or goal, they balance around numbers which are a reflection of the playerbase and why its always so inaccurate, listening to your players already isnt the most advised in game development unless theyre suggesting philosophies or something, but to listen to the way they decide to play is letting the player dictate the flow of the game and humans often dont do good without rules and foundations, people smoke themselves into a grave if they arent told not to smoke 😂 So god only knows what removing so many types of players all at once will do to the balance of overwatch... 😂
I might be in the minority here but I kind of like the idea that jade weapons and future comp-year-specific weapon skins are only for that year and you cant get them anymore. Makes it feel like you've got a good reason to play competitive, to get the cool weapons for the year.

Honestly competitive points should just be competitive points. Gold,Jade or whatever the next weapon skin is. If you put the time in to earn comp points you should be able to pick the weapon skin you want.
I hate their reward system and putting everything behind FOMO, here are the drives that will make your name shine for a little bit that you can get only in those 3 days! here is one color variant per year that you can only unlock now and not in another year! Like holy shit, why they have to make it so tedious and limited, why not just make drives permanent thing that you can customize in the profile, why not make like 10 different color variants right away and make them available whenever? animated sprays were amazing in ow1, they were a flex and still are and now you dont even get that, reaching higher rank doesnt give you better reward or anything to flex unless you are talking about seasonal challenger title which again are just temporary instead of making it something like "season 10 master"

I'm in the same boat as you. If they don't make 6v6 comp a permanent mode I'll sadly have to leave overwatch for rivals. Which sucks because I love overwatch but 5v5 is horrible especially after trying the test and rivals.
I have had so much fun playing tank. I never play tank in 5v5. But in this test I've played mostly tank. Ram, Dva, and junker queen are so damn fun.

I remember in one of your stream when you wondering, "If Overwatch 2 has done much for the past two years." And when you read the end part of the blog, it made me feel bitter because I feel like we haven't done much for the past two years. When Overwatch 2 launched with Overwatch gone, we have lost several things for just a shop update especially the PVE which was the whole point of the number 2 existing. The competitiveness side has been the main focus while on the casual side, I felt there isn't much to look forward to other than the competitiveness.
With Marvel Rival existing, I hope this is a wake up call for Overwatch that they need to get their things together and actually start putting out more efforts. Because for the past two years, I feel they're just relying on our loyalty. We keeping hoping that they'll do better but I feel it hasn't come yet. I hope they look on what made Overwatch great back then and maybe consider it for Overwatch 2.
I never thought that Marvel Rival would give me this same old Overwatch feeling but it has. I now have the options of Marvel Rivals and Overwatch existing. Like you said, competition is good and Marvel Rival should be that "wake up" call for Overwatch to get there things together.

Having never played the original OW I have to say that I have only been queuing 6v6 lately. It's so much more fun and involved whereas I feel like 5v5 is so boring. And despite being a hardcore support main I've even been playing some tank games lately and the difference is incredible. I've always hated the way it feels to play tank in 5v5 because it relies on you so much, on 6v6 it's more forgiving to the tank role and personally I feel like I dont die nearly as fast. I'm hopeful that these changes stick around.

Aim smoothing is probably at fault for the difference in Console. The default value of 100 makes turning way too slow. They need to add descriptions and graphs so people know to lower it on certain heroes. Also, increasing the max sensitivity to 200 would be helpful so close range heroes don’t struggle trying to track on Dualzone
Honestly, I'm really hoping for 2 things to come from Overwatch in the near future.
1) Patches to the 2-2-2 Play Test: I would like to see some of the Heroes, mainly the Tanks, getting some of their cool stuff back. Namely Zarya's shared Bubble Cooldowns and Reinhardt's Charge control. My hope is that they have some changes each week during the 2-2-2 Play Test in order to give us a wider variety of examples for what we could have.
2) The Removal or Weakening of Role Passives: Imo, Role Passives are band aid Solutions for wider problems within the game. I feel like we need to get the Healing and Damage numbers under control, and have Hero Passives on similar to the Role Passives, as needed, on a per Hero basis.

the shared bubbles make zarya 1000000x less fun because it removes all thinking(the worst part about 5v5 and all the tank changes associated). Same way reinhardt cant get his firestrikes back, and shouldnt be able to cancel his pin. Anything that takes away risk and decisions should never happen. Both reinhardt and zarya are way more fun in 6v6 than 5v5.
Yeah I feel like they reverted changes for the sake OW1. Let some OW2 tank changes stay, like having 2 fire strikes or increased charge control.

The first year of Overwatch 2.0 felt like we were stil in the beta, second year they finally found their flow, regarding balance, but stil no actual content only semi-recycled stuff and no rewards for anything. Blizz really needs to do something big regarding Overwatch soon, the lack of support compared to other live-service games is criminal. 6v6 role queue is the best thing Overwatch 2 has ever done. Once it goes away I will play way less
I'm sorry but trying to bring console win rates and pc win rates together sounds incredibly dumb 90% of the time.
Unless there is a bug, glitch, or etc. console is probably always going to have a lower win rate for the higher skilled heroes because quite frankly console players are more casual and not as good as pc (this coming from a console player).
They even admit themselves that hazard takes more work on a controller to work with but it doesn't sound like they are going to do quality of life to help but instead buff actual stats.
Also its 2 different pools of players so win rates differing is not bad (rainbow six siege, a game that actually shows the win rates has a good bit of difference between the console and pc players, including in which operators are banned but that's not bad it's just two different preferred pools.).
Imagine if they nerfed dive because it's popular in the Asia region for instance.
Edit: this whole comment is against them buffing/nerfing a character based on the stats being different between console and PC. Quality of life or additional settings to smooth out gameplay are fine. It's just scary hearing them balance anything on win rate
I personally think pc crossplay was a bad idea for the console players. I get the playing with your friends thing, but back in the day when they had slightly different patches to make the less aim heavy heroes less oppressive on console it was probably overall somewhat better for everyone. (Pharah being a key example back then).
The limits of aiming on console really inhibit what they can do with the game to properly make things balance out. Can't make low-aim heroes as strong on pc and can't make aim intensive heroes as strong on console.
All that and its not even crossplay for comp anyway, so what's the point, really, in having identical balance beyond qp and arcade queue times, which were never as significant of a problem to begin with.

i feel like there is a misconception that console cant aim for shit, thats just not true. the most difficult thing to do on console is flicks and turn arounds. mnk is 100% better on average, dont get me wrong. but idk why people exaggerate how hard it is to aim on a controller, shooters were literally initially made for controllers.
the issue is most console players are casuals, they dont take the game as seriously on average. so they could still do patches specifically for console comp that slightly changes stuff. thats where i partially agree, torb and sym turrets were slightly nerfed before. same for pharah, as well as buffs for heroes like tracer, genji, winston who would benefit from it.

Because OW devs want characters to be deliberately overturned when they come out(there’s a few dev blogs that came out after LW and Maugas release that says this). It’s because nobody wants to play a character that feels bad, even though a character can actually be really well balanced.(Nobody knows how to play them so early)

i for one DON'T understand why they would change the old competitive points system. all we wanted was more than a golden weapon variant, and instead they said "fuck you, legacy points." it's literally just a recolor, they should be experts at this point.
The legacy points are a waste of time cuase not very many will have enough for a gold gun anyway. We don't even have any need for them at all now anyway. It is many times easier to just earn the new points. Legacy points is like a long term depositbox that will take some years to realistically use assuming one speant their comp credits around the time gun rewards were updated.
They need to allow the Jade weapons to be bought with legacy credits in the future. Its a real shame that they'll be locked away forever
I played overwatch 2 because they announce that it will have a pve content/story mode but then announced it was cancelled...then they remove the currency you get in battle pass and its the last straw for me

Marvel Rivals devs have said they have no plans to introduce role queue to the game. The only reason overwatch even got role queue is because of brig and goats meta. Not gonna be a problem in rivals, so you can enjoy those 2 second queues without worrying about them going anywhere lol
Role queue would help games in Rivals feel a bit better, but it would severely increase queue times. For that reason alone, it's in their best interest to keep things how they are & let OW stick with role queue.

I hope the min 1 max 3 gets a competitive mode. I don’t think it’d be good for role q because of q times. Since q times aren’t an issue in that format having a ranked mode would be much better.
Taking jades away and dumping all of the unspent points into legacy (tbf, we knew the latter was happening) just means longtime players will have an even bigger pool of unspent points because they already have all the golden weapons and had only a few heroes to spend legacy points on. This isn’t sustainable in the long run. Just move jades into the legacy points category, otherwise what's the point?
Like, I kinda get it? They want the comp weapon variants to be a flex that you specifically played in a certain comp year, probably. But just because THEY like that idea doesn't mean the players will. And it also creates this weird paradox where heroes released next year won't even have the opportunity to have Jades. balance isn't enough for a new hero, they have to be fun to fight against. I dont care how the win rates are, i DO however care about getting one shot, CC'd, spawncamped, and and my team leaving me behind because everyone can climb walls now. I'm not sure how hazard helps any of that, no matter how healthy his win rate is.
What no one really seems to be mentioning is how Marvel Rivals is more so competing with Call of Duty at this point because of the overall consensus that Cod is in a terrible State due to hacking and marble Rivals just makes everyone happy for an extra week which is something a lot of people will accept because anyone likes taking a cheap way to get happiness

Honestly I wasn't hyped for Rivals before but started to get interested before it released. I was eager to try it but I don't have a console that can run it so I couldn't download it since my console can't run it apparently. I was upset for a while at Rivals (not actually deserved hate just spite due to the all the poor OW talk since I couldnt feell the greener grass side) but regardless of that I do hope Rivals pushes OW to improve since I have been playing it for years. If not then I suppose I'll eventually be able to play Rivals and see if I enjoy it as well

Playing Overwatch after MR was insufferable. The game is so damn boring. So many tedious characters to play against.
If they don't keep 6v6, me and a lot of people are probably droping this game. I would still play here and there, but not as much as I once did.
They won't keep it from the playtest, they'll have to fully implement it once they decide on what that format should look like.
Personally, I think that's a terrible idea and they need to jump the gun now, make it standard, put it in comp, leave a 5v5 qp open for people who like that if you want. Then when queue times become a problem we experiment with some flex spots and a min/max role setting
It’s kinda hard to tell if 6v6 is balanced anyway. If we have a ranked mode we’ll have a better idea. having teammates afk in the first 20-30 seconds of a match and leavers makes it hard to tell if it’s good or not. People are less likely to leave/throw a ranked game even on a Smurf account for the most part.
Balancing won’t be the issue. The issue was always not enough tank players. Even with 1 tank, the queue to play tank is less than other roles. The only exception is if a new tank is released and people want to try it out.

All these people in the comment section talking about "competition is gonna be great for OW" seem to vastly overestimate Blizzards faith in this franchise. Competition likely won't make them work harder, it'll likely just accelerate the death of this game.

2:54 i think its just an inaccurate comparison to other launches, there arent as many skillful players to mid max him, were all playing marvel rivals, and im sure overwatch losing large portions of certain types of players will effect its balance alot since overwatch doesnt balance around a philosophy or goal, they balance around numbers which are a reflection of the playerbase and why its always so inaccurate, listening to your players already isnt the most advised in game development unless theyre suggesting philosophies or something, but to listen to the way they decide to play is letting the player dictate the flow of the game and humans often dont do good without rules and foundations, people smoke themselves into a grave if they arent told not to smoke 😂
So god only knows what removing so many types of players all at once will do to the balance of overwatch... 😂
I might be in the minority here but I kind of like the idea that jade weapons and future comp-year-specific weapon skins are only for that year and you cant get them anymore. Makes it feel like you've got a good reason to play competitive, to get the cool weapons for the year.
Yes you are in the minority, doing "limited" events is a scummy way to make people play the game, they profit from the fomo
