I remember the last holiday I spent in Dublin. On a sunny day, I took the DART to Dun Laoghaire and had a walk from there to Killiney and back. Afterwards, I set down on the pier, watched the regatta taking place and the waves crushing on the shore. I startet to hum this song, and everything was perfect.
This song is timeless. It can be interpereted in many ways. And i simply see it as the total uncertanity that someone feels when they find that true love that just turns your whole world upside down. Its the beauty of the lyrics within that describes your surrendering to being on someone's shore....their life.
