I'm of the belief everything the emperor did was for the future, the future where he'd be worshiped as a God. And alpharius would be his agent on the other side.

I still think it doesn't fit him. I always think Alpharius should have a voice that doesn't belong to someone like him. He should have a voice that makes you go "Thats a primarch saying that?" Now it shouldn't be annoying mind, but something non fantastical sounding. In my head the perfect voice actor would be Guy Cihi.
The voice actor for Rogal Dorn sounds almost identical to the voice of Roboutte Guilliman in Battlefleet Gothic 2, every voice actor in this video is exceptionally talented! Another fantastic video! ❤️

We are 3, the 1, The Legion...
Only if the damn writers can stop making many chaos warbands called AL. Sure some of them should have lost to the corruption of the Warp yet many (that we should) be reading about should either be. Renegades. Ones who just flat out turned against the Imperium as it is everything the Emperor didn't want. One that is trying to make a human race without the Eccelsiarchy and (Corrupt) High Lords. Using chaos when need be. Then those who are inside Chaos yet still manage to weaken them. A bit more hard-core then the renegades I guess. I don't know i just feel like there are too many AL who are just sneaky Chaos Space Marines with no end goals.
I've found few legions that use alpha legion, red corsair and loyalist rapter tactics. Why i like them the most. Very little bias favour from ANYONE, acting in methods few would even consider viable and acing. Not to mention choosing the third option to not fully follow the emperor's vision to attempt to preserve what was already there.
Things are only overlooked if you don't look underneath. The XX legion are at the forefront of my Astartes perception, shadowing only the Raven Guard. Cloak and dagger, subterfuge, espionage, guerilla tactics, calculations, shadow strikes and disarray. Both legions styles are so rich to me, I've always felt unfulfilled looking at the savagery of the Wolves and the World Eaters, the bulwark of the Lords of Iron and the Fists, the jack of all and master of none Ultramarines and Sons of Horus. This was superb. You hit the sweet spot of not being overly ‘actorly’ and yet infusing enough gravitas and emotion not to be monotone. I was neither bored by a lazy presentation nor irritated by ‘trying too hard’. Quite relaxing and engrossing, really. Excellent job.

My favourite Primarch is Vulkan because he is the closest to being human and though he doesn't get much time in the limelight he brings such an amazing contrast too his brothers, dragging out the humanity within them. Favourite Legion is the Word Bearers, they bring a complexity to conventional evil that the other traitors don't have. Like evil in our world they believe they are the good guys, which is why they justify their actions.
The book about the formation of the black legion presents the black legion in a non standard way too. Love how the emperors children were the antagonist.

I'm not one to usually leave comments like this, I binge on Warhammer lore from time to time, I've seen videos from all the big and well-known channels, they are good and I enjoy them, but from the very first time I watched one of your videos when your channel was 2-4k subs, without a doubt I thought you by far were the best, your speaking, writing, the music, the atmosphere you create, it's so poetic and artistic, I am addicted to your ''understanding'' videos and hang on every word, the way you create and deliver it all charges so much emotion into the storytelling and highlights the artistic tragedy of the characters of these stories. I've been bingewatching warhammer lore videos for about 2- 3 years and now I have come across the amber king your videos are a breath of fresh air I thought I found everyone wolflordrho, luetin and baldur....and now the amber king thank you for your videos I have alot to catch up on
I am in total agreement. While I take nothing away from Luetin, Baldur, or Rho, Amber joining their ranks just means more lore for me! All are slightly different and approach it uniquely. One would think there is no more room for more lore masters but Amber just showed there is plenty of room still.
Me too, I'm not into the figures or tabletop but love the lore and stories. I think it's incredible how much detail is in the lore and have only just discovered it after years of thinking it was all just painting and sci-fi D&D

Very cool take on Alpharius post- primarchs novel. I don't think many readers picked up on the subtle narrative points being woven for him lately, but you nailed it.
Since having read the passages where rogal dorn kills alpharious, how brutal it was and how even in the end he pleaded to rogel, and when we see omegons point of view of his brother's death it really hurt, I actually shed tears.
I’ve liked, subscribed, downloaded and watched this at least 10 times in the past month. I like the way the story of origin is put together. The voice actors are amazing. The music is so good. This is probably THE lore video that got me invested into 40k lore. Hope to see more on Alpha Legion. Even if the Lorecrimes hates them.

Another great video. Really helped me understand one of the more confusing parts of the lore, (Alpharius Omegon) Subbed and is excitingly waiting for more of this type of in dept lore.
Alpharius Omegon, I hope is still alive. I know the setting is grimdark but towards the end of the story i hope the universe becomes as a singularity, that the chickens come home to roost and the Alpharius Omegon makes a great sacrifice and a legendary plan to secure a the Emperors dream for humanity. That the great stratagem, the big game that Alpharius Omegon has been playing will be won and that he can finally, truly die and be one with his other half in the immaterium.
Great video @Amber King! Your videos on the primarchs makes them easier to understand in a clear and synthesised way which I appreciate. "Head of the Hydra" made me love Alpharius so much as imho, he went from being a mysterious primarch to an anti-hero who understands the concept of sacrifice perhaps better than any of his brothers. I feel bad for Alpharius post-Heresy: no twin, no legion, and forever seen as a traitor. And yet he is indeed the "sword in the darkness" constantly fighting Chaos to achieve victory. I really want a video for them to, but your videos make the Alpha Legion my favorite "traitor" legion, but Perturabo is not so easily to replace as my favorite traitor primach after your last glorious video. Very cool take on Alpharius post- primarchs novel. I don't think many readers picked up on the subtle narrative points being woven for him lately, but you nailed it.
Since having read the passages where rogal dorn kills alpharious, how brutal it was and how even in the end he pleaded to rogel, and when we see omegons point of view of his brother's death it really hurt, I actually shed tears.

I’ve liked, subscribed, downloaded and watched this at least 10 times in the past month. I like the way the story of origin is put together. The voice actors are amazing. The music is so good. This is probably THE lore video that got me invested into 40k lore. Hope to see more on Alpha Legion. Even if the Lorecrimes hates them.

Alpharius Omegon, I hope is still alive. I know the setting is grimdark but towards the end of the story i hope the universe becomes as a singularity, that the chickens come home to roost and the Alpharius Omegon makes a great sacrifice and a legendary plan to secure a the Emperors dream for humanity. That the great stratagem, the big game that Alpharius Omegon has been playing will be won and that he can finally, truly die and be one with his other half in the immaterium.

"Head of the Hydra" made me love Alpharius so much as imho, he went from being a mysterious primarch to an anti-hero who understands the concept of sacrifice perhaps better than any of his brothers. I feel bad for Alpharius post-Heresy: no twin, no legion, and forever seen as a traitor. And yet he is indeed the "sword in the darkness" constantly fighting Chaos to achieve victory.
On a side note, your choice for the Alpharius voice was marvellous! Great job @Curtis Coomber! Keep up the good work you guys and may the Emperor be with you!

My favorite loyal primach is Sanguinius and is legion is my favorite. I really want a video for them to, but your videos make the Alpha Legion my favorite "traitor" legion, but Perturabo is not so easily to replace as my favorite traitor primach after your last glorious video.
