I love that there’s like a 1 - 5 chance of running into terrorist robber ghosts with infinity attack power, and an apparent 1-20 chance of finding anything useful.

@@sol_in.victus i think the ramped difficulty to hide lack of content? like there is no variety except the characters. i agree with you tho, the terrorists haveing 60+ attack power seems unbelievable. having the best 4 people with guns puts you at like 40-50 at best. it is a game that wasnt meant to be played 😒

60 seconds also has some bs RNG but it is designed well enough to not feel as bad

I too like to start my day by riding my bike out, immediately tripping on a bag of trash and have no choice but to take it home
It's amazing how it took like a dozen runs to successfully bring food back to the bunker once.
Well everything here is insane levels of RNG.
And the funniest bit is that it's not even NL's fault, it's literally just messed up RNG

I feel like there are 8 different ways for this game to get content ID'ed, between Mart terrorists gunning down small freckled children to the extremely haunting 'quit your run' animation of your character *literally* hanging themselves. I'm pretty sure you can give alcohol and tobacco to kids for their stress, but I haven't tried it lol

For real, you can go way longer without food irl.
It feels like the characters consume way too many resources each day aswell, the child and old people eat less, but they use up 1 food per day same as the labourer
The mental image of Mortimer hanging out in a bunker with a gun and sending out two unarmed children to go find water in the zombie/leopard/terrorist/rat apocalypse is amazing.
It’s amazing that the apocalypse seems to be everything all at once.

Man the balance in this game is so fucked it's so good.
Day 2: found store, but it’s occupied by robbers with 200 attack power.
Day 2 pm: returned to base - radioactive rats have invaded your shelter and eaten all of your food and water.

I started playing this after the first video. I've run 60ish runs and survived 1 time. Heres what I learned, the barricade and bed are most important. The barricade stops random attacks to the bunker, not to be confused with the lock that stops thieves if everyone leaves. The bed restores mental and physical strength to max everytime they sleep. The bicycle is important if you want to reset less, most of the time there wont be any source of food within 1 space unless you get super lucky. Getting as many people as you can fast is key, unlocking the meeting card lets you dupe food and water daily and requires 4 people in the bunker. Keeping clean is a bait unless you have nothing else you can play that day. Glasses are op, weapons are useless. The water bottle lets you find water pretty much every time. You can survive a while without food but your guy dies so fast without water. The best strat is to fan out the first couple days (you can send ppl to different locations on the same day) and if theres no source of food you reset and recycle the cards for next run. If you find food, farm it up until you find 2 extra guys. Now you can dupe, other locations can be explored without worrying about food. Theres alot of endings and events and the game gets harder after you win your first run. The best characters are the cook (bonus food), gambler (2x dupe from 1 card), and labourer (2 cards).
Thats pretty much all I learned in the last couple days. The game is very addictive and seemingly impossible until you manage to get those first few items.
so most runs are unwinnable bc no food sorce within base distance. nice!

This game is balanced like it was developed to bait bored 55 year old dads into whaling for micro-transaction consumables, but the dev couldn’t figure out how to implement credit card verification microservices and just threw it up half-finished on the Switch store instead.

the irony of NL praising when a game doesnt tell you what to do when he himself is constantly glancing at chat so they tell him what to do in almost every game he plays is peak banter every time.
This is badly translated and badly programmed discount store 60 Seconds, and I love it. The perfect +2 generator.
60 Seconds is less fun than this by a longshot.
I wouldn't say it's badly programmed, seems to run just fine. The game design is pretty shite, though.

For all the faults this game has, programming is definitely not one. Havent seen a single bug or glitch in 3 houes

My backseat thoughts:
- Bicycle is paramount because if you don't roll all essential resources around you, you're boned
- Empty bottle seems to be able to bring water indefinitely, so that seems good
- Soap is infinite by the cost of water, essential
- Broom is one of the few things that clean your space, also essential
every single time NL reads "colleague" out loud i cant take it its so good

This game is harder than Dwarf Fortress.
And i still, after watching 3 hours of it, cant quite tell if its because its broken jank and has unbalanced assy mechanics, or if its an ingenious game with a developer that played it so much that he's suffering from Donning-Krueger syndrome after literally perfecting his strategy over 5000 runs.
"Nah, 0.4% food spawn rate is too easy man, people will complain"
No, if you read the switch page the Dev recognizes it's incredibly hard but states that the payoff is worth the wait basically.
I think you just have to restart until you luck-box a restaurant and water and no one attacks.

It's ass, there was literally no way to progress on his last run he couldn't get a bike/car from any of the nodes nearby
@@ShaydFrosT children and the elderly have lower utility balanced against using less provisions, but in practice that just means the starve slower; it takes you 8 hours to pick up a gun; you would rather starve to death than get wet. It's a disaster.
But it was damn funny.
I know this game is broken. But it's really fun watching NL lose his mind trying to figure it out. I hope he plays this again.

This series is buckwild and I'm loving every episode. Between the weirdly blunt translations and the absolutely brutal random events it's just an endless well for funny content that I am so glad I am not playing myself. This feels like a game that would drive me insane. This poor man is trying so hard just to find one drop that isn't another rain coat and then has to come home to 17 robbers with guns, rats eating the remaining rations, and demonic kids who kick the one useful item away into the void. Everything about the game seems really unintuitive and grueling. Like I can't tell if you're soft-locked or not if you don't take a transportation card at the beginning and end up with your 5 neighboring nodes not having a bike. What does the game expect you to do in that situation?
Nothing, the game expects you to die.
Looks like if they have zzz's they should always sleep or they get fatigued and are out of action for over a day and I think the success of going out depends on the statuses of the person.
So you're telling us there's actually method to the madness that is this game?
I decline to believe this and maintain that this game is the makings of MKULTRA

It's crazy, I actually want to play this game because it looks winnable and I think it could be very satisfying when you finally get into a flywheel. But then I go to the page to get it and it's $22... Bro I can barely justify paying $5 for this.
Also even if you find a water supply and food supply it looks like some percentage of the time you will just die to raiders anyway.

I wonder if speeding up time during the exploration part makes it more likely to fail.
Disease free (clean), food, or water. Choose two: one will be way over-accounted for, the other will be completely absent except at the very start.
It's hilarious how not cleaning at all for like 4 days just straight up kills you
