- Professional replacement of the gasket on the BMW e65 e66 electric sunroof with the latest upgraded version
For reduce noise and water infiltration , if job not done properly you will have wind noise !

PuMA procedure AG
20315810-01 it means to update ilevel of the car and calibrate the sunroof after replacing the seal because the new seal is thicker. and the latest version of the ilevel has modified torque parameters of the sunroof motor

E66 is the long wheel base version of the E65. Everything else is the same..
great video. is it possible to change gasket on the top of windshield glass without replacing windshield glass on E65? on E38 i did that two times with soap and oil.

Awesome job, great attention to detail! What do you use to get rid of the remaining glue residue / grime of the old gasket? It's quite sticky.
To get read of old glue! You need patience! From what I remember, I have used a piece of rubber!

Hello! Thank for the video. I am in the process of replacing the seal and i noticed that there is a lip on one side of the seal. I can’t remember it on the older seal and was wondering if there is one specific way to install the new seal? Does the lip goes on the top side of the roof or on the under side of the roof or it doesn’t matter? Thanks!

Hello! In this case, preventing problems created by a worn-out seal is wind noise, and in heavy rain, the internal water menegment is overwhelmed !

Hello , is a piece of hard rubber . it is cut from a bigger piece , from what or were I don't know i have it from very long time
Should you add some 3m weather stipper ? I really don’t trust the double sided tape
Wat double side tape ? you use only OEM parts ! this is not the kitchen window :)
@@MOvidiu oem only correct, but that red tape your pulling apart is double sided tape…
@@Unlaced_kickz Maybe you didn't watch the video correctly and you have skip in through it , if you have watch it from beginning to end you have probably seen that that part is an OEM seal with it's own original adhesive tape 😉 I showed it in the video side by side the new next to the old . So the new OEM seal have it's own high quality tape you don't need to add anything else.

Welcome! Bosch ghg 660 lcd , and the temperature depending on what is better for you 200 degrees or higher

Awesome video...I have a leak and need to replace the sunroof. I just ordered the part but I don’t the time for a DIY job. Exactly how many labor hours did it take to complete the installation? I want to make I’m not charged through the roof...pun not intended. Thanks 🙏
Well, the time depends on each one, but I don't think it should take you more than 1.5 hours

Buna Ovidiu. Am wind noise la panoramic sunroof bmw220i f45. Au scimbat roller blind sun/shade si am zgomot de vant la viteza de peste 60km/h. Am facut resetare la trapa si tot degeaba.
Salut ! dar trapa e aliniata corect pe caroserie ? partea din fata sa fie sub nivelul plafonului si partea din spate sa fie peste
@@MOvidiu ovidiu iti pot trimite poze cu fata si spate? Cei de la reprezentanta au pus un silicon ca un ruj pe garnitura prima data si se mai atenuase din zgomot dar acu cand au schimbat roller_ul au demontat geamul si montat dar zgomotul e mare si la viteza de 50km/ h
Poti sa imi dai un numar de whats up unde pot trimite video. Daca nu deranjez prea mult.
In fata este sub nivel in spate un pic peste. Azi am pus o band de scotch lata 4cm peste toata linia fata incluzand garnitura si un pic pe geam. Pe autostrada 110km zgomot mult mai putin decat fara scotch. Deci aliniamentul sa fie corect e doar linia dintre garnitura geam si garnitura trapa/caroserie. Am vazut un video din USA cu un spray cu nozel 3 in 1 rubber seal UV rejuvenating si se pare ca zgomotul dispare. Inca nu am acel spray, in Sydney am gasit ceva gen vaselina special pt rejuvenating/uv protection for rubber seal. O sa aplic maine
De asemenea ma gandesc sa adaug in ruber seal ff finut pe partea cu garnitura de pe trapa/caroserie
La e38 se poate achimba ? ....mi se cam aude vantu .....oare o fi de la ea ??
Salut. Da se schimba la ori-ce BMW cu trapa , da poate sa se auda si de la ia vezi in clip diferenta dintre cea veche si cea noua e special pentru diminuarea zgomotului si infiltratiile de apa

@@rahdigga6031 is an OEM upgrade of the factory, the old gasket is no longer produced they made a thicker one
