Sir thank you so much for these videos...can u please make a video on 2nd mates exam...like how to prepare for 2nd mates and similar things... thank you once again ❤️
Spreaders provide stability to the ladders when they are in contact with ships hull, but for fwd and aft area, our hull is curved, that prevents the spreaders to be effective, also embarkation ladder if used will be used for once itself during Abandon ship, but pilot ladder is regularly used as pilots safety is utmost important.
Thank you so much man , just one more question, does the magnetic compass inside some of FFB have a lamp inside that need to be checked for proper function, or the light coming from the other luminations inside the FFB is enough ?
very informative video.can you please make video on devices used to launch or recovery like bowsing tackle , recovery strops, falls, tricing pendant. thanks in advance
Lifeboat drill you will lower the lifeboat ..... abandon ship drill will not lower .. only explanation and duties revived Abandon ship drill has to be carried every month and within 24hours after the crew change
Few of the checks adds up in quarterly , 6 monthly and 5 yearly inspection thus we need to do and also we have to comply with flag state requirements of inspection at all times.
Sir make videos on how to properly prepare for 2nd mates written exams..& some tips for orals examination so that we can come with flying colors in the 1st attempt only sir!!
How old is your ship, and what is not complying ? Distances Between or size of RR tape ? Normally third mates stick RR tapes on top of old RR tapes, they don't renew by removing old one.
Variation is of location and not compass, variation you can find from chart and also from GPs and ECDIS ENC, Deviation you can find from deviation table which is supplied by yard and after 1 year , ship crew have to make another deviation card by turning a ship and noting down mangnetic heading and deviation of compass at every 15degrees ( assuming variation is known)
It's very informative vedio, thanks for making such a vedio , 1 question , where did u find requirements for retro reflection tape , like it's distance and test
