Just starting to read up on Myanmar before my trip to Asia and holy shit I actually got butterflies in my stomach at the bagan part. I think I need to go
I'm from Myanmar, but live in the United States. Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip to the Golden Land although you missed a lot of other beautiful places in the country. I have also been to Canada on a road trip (Buffalo, NY to Ontario, Quebec and back). Wonderful memories, especially Niagara Falls and Montreal.
Cho Sett was only there for about a month. I like to travel slow and take my time but yeah there’s definitely a lot more places to see. I just worked with the amount of time I had.
This is on my list!!! I watched video after video of other people visiting, but wow!! Your video was perfect. It was amazing and just what I was looking for!! Thank you!!!
Just discovered your channel while doing research for my asia trip which I will start by the end of the year. Thank you so much for your high quality content ! :)
theelittlesthobo Visit Chin state! It’s the tribal part of the country! When people visit Myanmar, they only visit the capital state or cities. But rarely even recognize such thing as Chin State existed ( the tribal people ), the capital ( Burmese ). Will still give you 2 hugely different perspectives. Almost like black and white.
Nice view I got a lot of learning from your videos thanks to visit to my native country where I was born, but I have never been there before that every placed where you gone thanks again I'll see your next video.
@Rakscha you watch news too much ... just shut down your medias .. and pack your laggage and come see yourself how is the country is .... media always makes bad thing BIG and hide beautiful things ....
Great job on the vlog man! Definitely one of the best I've checked out on Myanmar. I have traveled my share of southeast Asia but have always put off this country for reasons I can't figure out. Heading there next month and I am definitely taking notes from this vlog. Again, great job!

Great insight into what is going to be my next trip. Whilst I would love to spends a long time touring, due to the obvious financial restraints, how long realistically should I be taking ? - rough guideline itinerary pls and thx
Thanks Stevie B! Glad you enjoyed the video! Check out arjayneyra.com/myanmar to help you plan out your itinerary. I would typically recommend a month in the country to do the things on the link provided and if not, you could do 1 or 2 weeks and pick activities based on your preference. Safe travels and enjoy! You'll love the country!
@arjay neyra do you have any info on buses from Hpa An back to Yangon? I really want to visit it but on 12go Asia there are no bus results coming up for a return journey to Yangon. How did you travel towards after Hpa An? :)
I just booked it through the place I was staying at. Ask the place where you're staying at, they typically have the schedule of the buses and you can book it on the same day as well most of the time.
Hehe it's a steep hike so I know what you mean. It's very worth it though if you decide to give it a second shot and I suggest doing it as early as possible so it's not that hot.
Not sure if this will get a reply but, what shoes do you travel with? You’re hitting the beach, hitting the trails, walking a lot - you must have versatile footwear
I usually travel with super light running shoes, casual shoes and flip flops... check out my travel packing list here: www.arjayneyra.com/travel-packing-tips/
Hi arjay I want to visit Myanmar from India on Bike please help Cause as per Myanmar rules Escorts vehicle and tour guide is important, so please send some details🙏
Were you bringing all your belongings on each trip? Or did you check in at a hotel and hike out for a day trip from there? Or is this all with a tour company? Thanks for all the insight!
I left my things where I was staying if I was adventuring for the day then if I had to move to another city then of course I took everything with me. I travel alone and no I didn't go with a tour agency with most of the activities I did in the country though the multiple day hike I did go with an agency as it was mandatory.
@@arjayneyra Thanks so much for the fast response man! Did you have an itinerary by chance of places you stayed at and such? Hoping to try a a similar trip as yours. However I will only have about 8 days 7 nights

Most famous islands are Thahtay Kyun island and Nyaung Oo Phee island.
Arjay Neyra no problem! I’m thinking of visiting Myanmar in a couple years (post-corona lol). In terms of the village visits, did you find them overwhelming at all? I did a hike in Sapa Vietnam (quite a while ago, like 6 years now) and it was great! But it felt like the whole time we were being followed by folks who wanted money or to sell small wares, and it distracted from the experience a lot. This is not to say I don’t want to support locals by any means (I absolutely recognize travel is a privilege), but I’m just curious about your experience.
@@itsmejenniferlee5411 Oh I love Sapa! Miss that place. It's not overwhelming at all, though you're talking to someone that is super passionate about mountains and the outdoors! If you're concerned about being sold to in the villages, I believe there's less of it in Myanmar compared to Vietnam though with tourism picking up in the next coming years in the country, I can see it happening so the best time to see these villages is as soon as you can!
