Thought Laxman was going to come in higher, as I remember that most of his innings were actually impactful and helped India win games. But that could be another great idea for crickpicks. Best 4th innings batters. Surely inzi and vvs will both make it. But yeah....great crickpicks. No inconsistent picks.
Clarke also had the benefit of starting on the back end of Australia's strongest era. The guys batting before him in the order for the first few years of his test career take a ton of the pressure off a young guy starting out.
Virat in test & t20... Nah... Not ahead of AB. Virat's good day in t20 is a par score. Ab's good day in t20 is a guarantee win. Same in test... Most Virat ton overseas are in loses. Virat in ODi is slightly ahead of Ab.
@@mugtiles under-pressure Virat has delivered more for India in T20s than ABD for SA in T20s. Even strike rate of Virat > AB in intl T20s just facts. Had potential been the metric Carl Hooper > Lara In ODIs he is the best ODI no 3 ever.
he had the potential to be the best all format batsman (imo even top 10 of all time in each individual format), but he has relatively poor t20i stats all format (international) its probably kohli whereas if you are talking about t20s and not t20i ABD is probably ahead of virat if you look at just odi and test, kohi, abd, viv richards, brian lara and sachin tendulkar are all pretty much equal (kohli should've been easily been the best by now by a huge distance, but now he's just pretty much equal) in my opinion odi and test the list is probably: sachin > viv richards > kohli > lara/abd we could talk about how lara had greater potential than sachin, but then if we look at potential vinod kambli would be a better batsman than sachin (also potential wise: ABD > Lara > Kohli > Viv > Sachin; not hating on sachin, he is objectively the best batsman on this list, but the other guys definitely have not reached their potential, imo the fact that sachin reached the heights he did despite not being even in the list of top 10 most talented batsmen, just cements his status of the best batsman ever outside of bradman even more)
Maybe he is not able to make that list cos he is one of the most successful test captain of India also brother 30 test century is not less by any means @@paroxymal7688
Why do the best batsman of the team bat at no.4 ??. If someone is the best batsman of the team ...shouldn't he be batting at the most difficult position ??... opening or number 3
That trend has changed over the past few decades, now your best batsman generally comes in at 4 when the ball gets a little old and the conditions become easier, so that the best batsman can then score as much as possible and maximise the team's total

Harry brook is gonna be the best number 5 of this generation
This is The Best cricpicks yet, consistency wise. No blunders.
18:50 Estelle's disgusted face.
angelo mathews, shakib al hasan, travis head pass the cut and have solid shouts i think
Travis Head and Harry Brook to soon join this list!!!
Azhar and Laxman have a case to be higher than Thorpe in this list.
When Estelle smiles, an angel gets their wings!
ABD is best ever batsman... Open for discussion!!!
In all forms? Virat Kohli's probably better than him

Who would not make your lists if you introduced the additional constraint that the batsman must have played at No 5 more than any other position?
Can you make a list of worst players to play 100 test matches , it might be a little demeaning to some players but doesn't matter its all for fun
Kohli will be in top 10 i guess

Worst is a harsh word, undeserving/ surprising players to play 100 tests.
I don’t about 100 but England currently have a couple who’ve played 50 and are still not established players, unbelievable selection

Wow, undermining Michael Clarke of all of the batsmen who played at #5 for literally nothing.
when i properly started to watch test cricket clarke was scoring triple century and i thought he was the best thing ever xd...then i found the fab 4
RIP Thorpe! Should have played for England in the great 2005 Ashes instead of Ian Bell
There would've been a riot if you hadn't gotten VVS in!
What position did Gundappa Vishwanath play?
Behram makes the cut off to 40 tests to fit in Babur on this list..
