Amazing car, but between this and 2022 comp, I picked comp! Mechanically they are identical, you can even flash comp to cs so handling and trans will behave like cs. But comp has more options and comfortable seats)
i dont see why anyone would want to bring a tank to a race track though. m5 just is so damn heavy that seeing them at a track day is just almost awkward. its a luxury sports sedan.
Nope the E39 still stands as the best ever M5 for mine. Manual transmission, tractin or stability control, electronic nanny bs to flatter drivers, making them think they're better drivers than they really are. I have an F90 and I like it quite abit, but I don't love it. When I really wanna enjoy driing an M5, I take out the E39.....or the E28

I don't think it was in its fastest setting. There's D1-3, then S1-3. S3 is super fast and sharp. I've had the DCT in my F80 and I think this ZF8 is just as fast (in the right settings), but more comfortable/less jerky in comfort settings.

The seats don’t belong in a 5 series.
The M5 gets back it's mojo in a newish modern platform. I couldn't help but notice although good, the transmission is not as crisp as a DCT.

these new turbo v8's are making too much power for a traditional DCT.
