It’s so sad, definitely have to protect your heart from all this. Definitely doing it on your own is a good alternative for sure!!! It’s on your own time and you can even have raw vocals and send them to ppl to have edited.

I used to play the saxophone in middle school, and I literally self-taught myself how to play Meditate….so yeah I definitely was one of the people wondering where the music was 💀, but I also think prioritizing your peace is more important and I can’t fault you for doing that after hearing the full story!
I definitely think if music is still something you’d want to pursue, that maybe you should learn more about how to produce everything on your own so you don’t need to answer to anybody who’s acting weird.

Omg to this day I listen to “ meditate” every single day, it’s in all my most played playlist. It helped me get through a really dark time and I was in such a toxic relationship and situation but I would listen to this song while I’m smoking and it just gave me peace that I was coping in a normal way. Hands down one of my favorites. That “ smoke this blunt to help me breathe , liquor got me feeling ways, whatever puts my heart at ease “ . I guess I discovered that song at the right time but I’ve always wanted to tell you the impact that the song still has on me today. I always wandered why you didn’t go full force so I appreciate this video of you just being real . I’ve also put almost everybody in close to on the song lol ❤
You are one of the few who speak up about it. Women should feel SAFE when going to a studio. Happened to me too, makes you don't want to be in a studio at all, I WISH there were more exposure back then of what can happen when going to a studio or pursuing the entertainment industry. im so sorry this happened to you literally when i was younger i tried posting myself online and i remember this dude that owned a studio said he wanted me to work with him, but it scared me and plus i was extremely green as grass and grew up sheltered like i didn't know how to flirt at all and i just got the most weirdest vibes from him and then i said i want to bring my older brother and i got completely ghosted....and i had so many other weird incidences trying to become a model and singer just like Whitney Houston

Everything that you have been saying about the industry, I know to be true So I completely understand the need to pull back from it all. However, I hope you find your way back to the music. Not the industry, but just the music, as an Independent artist. Because your voice is Amazing and should be shared with the world. I personally really liked the vocals at the 17:40 mark. Theres a classic vibe type of element to it. Don't give up on the dream...just make your own path to reach it. Your terms, Your own way. Dont' give up on your dream. Just do it your way.✨

ey mama, I have my own studio set up at home. Get yourself a condenser mic, a pop filter, an XLR cable, mic stand, an audio interface, external hard drive, and a computer. You can simply start with garage band and work your way up to any audio engineering program. Doesn't matter what program you use, just learn how to master your tracks because that's where it counts. Don't over edit your vocals, try to limit your effects from little to none and it will sound great. You can create a booth by wrapping a sheet around your mic in a square from the celling, (big enough to stand in), to cancel out the noise around you. OR record inside your closet, which most people do to get the cleanest sound. Then, all you have to do is purchase beats from producers online.

I still listen to meditate and I have saved to my Spotify 😩 I was recently wondering why
My boyfriend records his own music and lets other artists come over to his house to record as well and he has a really professional setup. You have to look up videos and stuff on youtube thats how he learned but yeah. U save way more money recording your own stuff and it can still sound super professional. As long as you dont have background noise (which may be tough with the kids) all youd have to pay for aside from the mic and the programs and stuff would be someone to mix and master it. And thats def cheaper than studio time. You can def get back into it if you really want to, just would take some adjusting and in house work.
