Due to my personal past , I always have a guard up. And I don’t go to parties or clubs for that certain reason. I’ve had bad experiences that really trigger me to this day. I literally only go out with my fiancé and that’s it. I feel safe around him and I know he wouldn’t put me in that type of situation. i had this friend who turned very toxic after a year abroad, she came back like a different person and started being extra rude , promiscuous and verbally abusive to random ppl in public. the worst prt was when she started dressing like a stripper in winter time and had these " stripper boots" shed always wear to appear taller and it would attract all kind of sketchy creepy men while i was with her but then she turned on me nd kept making horrible comments about other girls looks. i reacted quite fast by then and one day decided ive had enough and need to cut all contact with her. today i just saw an insta post of her that said: "next person to walk out of my life im going with them- im tired of my shit too. But I’ve been through so much in recent years with my friends trying to use me or just generally not caring about me the way they should and only being out for themselves. I also have depression so i already isolate myself from people in general, even the ones I’m really close to and i love. You’re not alone Vanessa, a lot of us are scared of making new friends too.. but that’s why we should all just be internet friends!
