I love keeping up with the latest in Russian propaganda on this channel, and in today's video we're covering Russian propaganda music.We'll check out a new Russian singer named SHAMAN - this guy is super popular right now, getting millions of views from his "patriotic" Z songs, with his hit song Я РУССКИЙ ("I'm Russian") becoming a huge meme. And though his message was slightly veiled and not as obvious before, he recently went fully mask off. SHAMAN came out with a new video with a bunch of sell-out Russian music stars, which is basically a piece of Z propaganda that is meant to glorify "Russian warriors". Let's check it out and see what Z music is like (spoiler: it's not very good). Smash like and sub for more content!

How Sumy fought back and held in February is beyond impressive. Especially since the 1st Guards Tank Army 11th Guards "Berlin" tank corps was thought to be THE best armored unit in Russia. Sumy held against the unit meant to break trough NATO lines. The unit credited with capturing Berlin in the great patreotic war.

Some russians in post soviet countries are pure chauvinists. They do nothing for their motherland and often has no real connection with it besides some dumb image in their heads. And their imaginary patriotisms boils down to voting for pro-putin parties, wearing russian themed sports wear and celebrating New year when it happens in Moscow... the last one is just beyond me. What kind of people do not understand concept of time zones and New year. I do not belive that Russia has many actual patriots.

It frustrates me because it's our failure. One thing I've realised is that you will rarely find somebody in those circles that had a happy, balanced life when they fell in the pit. Extremism (of all kinds) attracts the lost and wounded. Society failed these people, and they react "accordingly". One might be dismissive towards them, but given the scales we are reaching worldwide in those tendencies, there's a system there. Something pushing them. Not just a fluke or a "weak/disgusting person".

First the Russians helped Russia take a piece of Poland and then attack Western Europe without having to be afraid to be attacked in the back. Only when they had done that did they attack Russia. And then we had to help Russia to defend itself and go on the offfensive so we could perform D-day out of other things. By then Europe was divided between the Western Alliance and Russia thanks to Yalta. If that hadn't happened Europe would have been at war far longer. It wasn't a sell-out, but a necessity to end the war sooner. There was also war in the Pacific that needed to be dealt with.
Of course it was harrowing that the eastern European countries were locked behind an iron curtain, but there was not much we could do by then. If you are my age (67) you would remember the many nuclear threats we went through.

I'm 19 y.o., my sister is 13, and mom has unironically shown us the first music clip on the peak of its popularity. The chorus made us laugh, 'cus we didn't expect such an in-your-face patriotic lyrics from a guy of this age and appearance. She started yelling at us and lecturing us about how "the West" inspired us to hate our own ethnic group and that we should be more patriotic. The middle-age Russians don't understand why the younger generation avoids and even hates this guy, because you'know, his looks are so modern and the voice is nice. But the truth is, this dissonance between his appearance and patriotic lyrics makes it extremely uncomfortable for us teenagers to listen to his music. It's too clear who he is produced by. Our parents don't see it.

Unfortunately, this propagandist exists not only in music, but also in advertising. This propaganda also influenced my grandparents and they believe that talking old grandfather on our TV. (In short, they say on TV that they say everyone is bad, and only Russians are cool here, VTF). Because of this, I am very worried about my father. I don't want to lose someone dear to me…

Youknow, maybe it's because I haven't slept my full 8 hours last night, but when the people started singing in front of the Russian flag and he said something about sending it to the Hague (I'm Dutch) I had a sortof..vision of a young niece lining up her guineapigs in front of the Dutch flag and yelling; 'They are proud Dutch citizens!' and sending it to Mark Rutte, our prime minister and it would likely impress him just as much as the picture of that group there.
I mean, Mark Rutte is a worthless clown, don't get me wrong, but that video was just as important to me as guineapigs in front of the Dutch flag.
My favourite patriotic (?) song is Deutschland by Rammstein. It's a song about the very complicated feelings many Germans feel towards their homeland. They're not lazy and just focus on WWII - they go through the whole messy and glorious history. In the end they cannot just abandon their homeland. This is closer to real patriotism. It's about loving your country inspite (or even because of) its mayor flaws. You cannot love a lie

I do agree. I am Russian too. But I don't understand being proud or lucky of it just because you were born to be that nationality. It's not like your nationality is some kind of achievement. And what does it mean - "my blood is from my father", is it not from his mother too? Just stupid words. And what end does he go to? The parody from that comic guy was very shrewd. I loved how he literally said "I am 'narrow' (in Russian rhymes with 'Russian', meaning 'narrow-minded' because all you are as a person shouldn't just come down to nationality you are.) It depends. I'm Bengali, and in India, we are seen as obnoxiously proud of our language and culture. But when West Pakistan decided we were too "nationalistic" for their Pakistan project and tried to murder us into submission, that pride in our language and culture brought us together to fight against the Pakistani military, despite almost one million of us killed. Yahya Khan, the dictator of Pakistan at the time, believed if they killed one million Bengalis, the rest will eat out of their hands. Nationalism can be stupid and tribalistic, but nationalism can also be a powerful motivational tool. Like fire, it can burn things down or keep you warm.

In 2014 a program aired on Russian TV: "Polyglot. Learn German in 16 hours" by the famous linguist Petrov. I watched it, and now I can see that it was actually VERY effective in laying the foundations of both grammar and vocabularly.
The show went like this: in 16 episodes, Petrov would teach German to a group of popular actors with no previous knowledge of this language. The lessons had a plan, but the actors could ask questions along the way, or ask for the meaning if some words they wanted to know. Some were fast learners and some were slow learners...
Long story short, this show was total immersion. I really felt like I'm in a language learning class in a very good school.

Кста, если бы твое суждение о жителях Москвы, Московской области, Ленинградской области и СПб были бы справедливы, то в РФ было бы 20-25% оппозиционеров, что достаточно для массовых протестов и свержения власти. Ну и вспомни, конечно, что каждая парламентская и госдумовская блядь, каждый пропагандон и даже политическая элита страны, включая нашего "любимого" президента живут, работаю и вещают в МСК и СПб, а также все они имеют недвижимость и вклады на "загнивающем" западе. Может и все, кого я перечислил, желают победы Украине?))
