Just bought a JS 11.75 for my son. I’m now seeing how thin this glove is. Any concerns about the lightweight or thin nature of the glove? Will the hand start hurting after catching a long toss session?
Hey Mark! Great question - The glove is thin and lightweight but when I put the glove on and started pounding at the pocket, I didn’t really feel a sting from the mallet. Since it has a nice wide pocket, I think the hand will be out of the way of the ball. Either way I feel that after a glove breaks in and has a nice pocket you shouldn’t be palming the ball. Hope that helps!
And plus I’ve put on Wilson A2000 and Rawlings R2G that are thinner than this glove. This one is thinner than other gloves I have but still a tank in terms of construction

I know I’m a little late on this vid but j have a couple questions because I have customized a glove and am questioning and researching if the glove is worth 200 bucks 1. Do you think the leather is cheap or weird? 2. Do you think Japan select is too thin for bigger hands? 3. What other 44 infielder gloves do you own besides the Japan select and which ones do you recommend to look at and which ones do you recommend to stay away from, I hope you can get to this comment because I need a new glove!!
hey man - The quick answer is yes 44 is worth the $200 (really $150 if you wait for a 25% sale)- but you need to know what you like first. 44 leather doesn’t feel cheap; I have several 44s and their leather is consistently buttery smooth, especially the natural colors (blonde/black/tan). but the japan select has very little padding. Since you have bigger hands I’d say go with the 574 or Pro44 models. Hope that helps! Also they might be having a sale on mother’s day which 20% off
This one took 30 days. But back then 44 wasn’t as popular, and I didn’t get any embroidery on it so it made the process faster for them. Now the gloves take about 6-7 weeks

Show your interest in playing, and be serious about it. You don’t have to be an A student but show you care about school too. Be the player that puts in not only the extra work they like, but also the extra work that they don’t like and find challenging.
@@jclupercio9086 Yeah man and if you’re im high school now is the time to start, email a coach of a school you’re interested in, say something like “Hi my name is ____ and I’m a sophomore (or whatever) at this High school, I play this position, and I am interested in your school and program. I hope to schedule a tour or visit campus or keep in touch, etc.” Also it’s good to have highlights video, start making video of you hitting and fielding

Pretty shallow and flat, wouldn’t recommend this glove at anything bigger than an 11.5
