      I don know. Isnt stress also a sign of not knowing everything (so we need to be aware of things that might happen or can happen if we do x/y wrong)?
      I guess stress is a part of us, because we are limited (brain/knowledge wise) and we can easily come in situations where we we overwhelmed by things/"facts"/thoughts.
      ...stress is a big part because theres so much unknown, and unknown kinda creates sress, doesnt it?
      But id say in those situations we are not at peace or ourselves which is what you are saing?

    • @dwried
      @dwried ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@heni63 Stress is a self imposed value we put on things, so that isn't who you are. Peace may not be the most articulate way to describe who you are though. If you have pain somewhere in your body, it's hardly peaceful, but definitely part of you. It's a journey of self realization of what in your life "is" actually part of you and important. Peace is great, but might not come at first. Sometimes coming to terms with who you are comes in waves of awareness. This is what I've come to believe after a fair share of awareness meditation. Blessed travels on your journey to enlightenment.

    This man spoke very wisely, for those who don't know. He's referring to ego without saying it. He is aware that he is using a certain identity or ego in these videos but outside of the ego's use, as a tool, he is potential itself, not using an identity at all. Letting the ego go completely or at least that's what's to be practiced.

      True, one of the fundamentals from the Dharma

    • @Tasorius

      But in reality "letting go of the ego" is impossible.

    • @luke7507
      @luke7507 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Tasorius In our "reality" as a society the whole game of getting a job do this and that, yes I agree you can not get rid/let go of ego. The ego in this game is a vehicle/tool that is needed. But if you were to go to a monastery or isolate yourself in some way where you didn't need to depend on the ego as much, I think maybe it could be possible or to the very least, you'd have more moments of not really having one.

    • @Tasorius
      @Tasorius ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@luke7507 I may not understand what you mean when you say "ego", but the word means "I" so to me you seem to be saying that we should get rid of the self, as if it's a bad thing, and as if that makes us free in any way. So it sounds insane to me.
      As for the job game and capitalism, I agree that those things are bad. Especially when you work more than you live...

    • @luke7507
      @luke7507 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Tasorius Sorry I probably should have clarified. I don't know the general definition for ego. To me ego is the character you are, it's what's typing this, all my desires and fears. I don't mean to make it sound bad if I did. It's a tool.
      I believe "self" is an illusion because when you are truly in the moment you are connected to everything, you are everything. You're not separate, self implies individuality to me and I know in physical form it seems that way but on a molecular level it's not and it can be experienced as such. Just my perception from my experience.

    This is a very dangerous idea. If you see limitless potential in yourself, you are not bound to the certain ways of life you grew into through hard work. It is both liberating and confusing. You invite chaos. Even if you know that something will not be the best for you, you still push on and try it. That's living life. I never regreted anything I have done. Most of the sadness came from false expectation for my character from other people and my attachment to those ideas. Of what you should be. Yet, it is like going through a dark cave. Somedays you find the exit, sometimes you are lost there for a long while. Neverthless, you will have to wander those dark caves from time to time. It's our nature.

      One cannot invite chaos if there is orderliness within, which does not negate the freedom of will to perceive & believe in infinite possibilities. One's intrinsic orderliness would then extrapolate probabilities for the potential-to-realized... point is its something born from within through personal refinement, rather than some mirage one has tangled oneself in based on extrinsic factors or appropriated beliefs, values, etc.

    This really says a lot that people intuitively know but fail to comprehend. That is why separation of the body from nature not only destroys you but everything around you. No matter your societal standards or accomplishments, it is artificial. Who you are is the real you not the image others see you as. This is why people are so obsessed over something they want to be instead of who they should be

    The real Shi Heng Yi a very convincing salesman. However the sales pitch is unfortunately a grift. The baritone voice, mesmerising, ever seen a dog wag its tail whilst biting, a conman smile as he releaves you of the last of hard earned cash, a psychopath smile as they stab someone in the back.
    Shi Heng Yi is a disciple in the Shaolin Lineage. This has been the case for the last year.
    Monroe Couloumbe is not an Abbot hes just a very naughty boy. Shi Heng Yi is not a Shaolin Master. He's a martial arts practitioner of various styles.
    The product he sells under false advertising.
    If you complain about the fraudulent unethical and unmoral buisenss practice you will see the true nature. An aggressive narcissist who will make threats with recovery agencies.
    When you use societal norms, common decency and intimidation tactics to releave people of their hard earned cash under false pretence. This is a sociopath with little to no empathy. Possibly NPD, the man is a complete walter mitty.
    Like others have said do not fall for the lies.

    religion is artificial. I don't argue with you. But exactly what you are saying is a contradiction of your philosophy. Religion is a human construct. It is born of human suffering and being without power. I would refer you to the book "Sapiens" by Yuval Harare for insight into understanding the human condition. Without being condescending. I do understand that you have wisdom and I do not deny it. But we must all be challenged or we would be pretenders.

    Stop contemplatinf this thinking this the maximum truth possible to get, just to think you are now at the top and dont have anymore to strive for achieving yourself.
    This speech is quite usual, in spite of the quality of the image and the depth that seems to spread from Shi Heng Yi, quite common, and quite superficial as well. When one is under the shower, for example, he is not that naked for he is still full of representations of himself, of lies about what he wants. It is way deeper than what he just says.
    And always keep in mind that the society that made us miserable spreads these contents as well (Eastern wisdom, yoga, meditation, stoicism,). So it might not be that much "enemy of your enemy".

    The martial arts part of monk life is just a placeholder for their potential to go stir crazy from all of the outward self denial. If that were not true then their stated belief that spirit is more than body would be a lie. How can the body protect the spirit? It can not. How could God need a man to do his or her will? Actually consider what this man says about self, what it is, and then ask yourself what in the physical realm could ever come near changing that or harming that. In many ways, for many who find themselves in it, that lifestyle is no different than an orphanage or military school or monastery where abandoned or neglected children end up dumped with nothing else to do in a society that is extremely competitive and overcrowded. Some of them will eventually understand that their entire lives have been a course of dumb-down brainwashing done by professional students of the culture who graduated to baby sitters for the society. Few of them will ever know what life is really about, why we are here or where we are going. But, they have a lot of time to delude themselves and ponder existential double entendres and joke based philosophy because that's all that is truly keeping them sane.

    The victim of mind-manipulation does not know that he is a victim. To him the walls of his prison are invisible and he believes himself to be free! Self awareness is the key to freedom and knowledge is power but knowledge about yourself is self employment!

    the dress, the make up, the suit…..but let’s not forget the house, clothes, the shower it self where the water travels thru copper pipe made by machines powered by electricity, soap, towel, coffee cup also made by machines, and the clothes you have on and the couch you are sitting on.
    is living in the woods naked is natural ?
    where do we draw the line, and more importantly who draws that line???
    you say people know you from an internet platform, which is completely unnatural.
    why do you need this recognition if you’re submerged in yourself and are in tune with nature.
    especially when it’s created by an unnatural electronic device.
    it appears to be hypocritical.
    do we live naked in the woods, or in an artificial house with clothes on and cook on a stove ruled with gas or electricity?
    who decides how much artificial stuff we are to allow into our lives when we hear internet platform and wear cloths as we sit on a couch being recorded by an electronic device.
    who has the right to draw that line and how and when was this line determined to where it should be drawn?
    if we’re are to remove everything artificial, then we are naked in the woods eating over a fire.
    i don’t see that here.
    what i see here, are two humans, fully clothed, inside a comfortable home sitting on furniture with soft fluffy cushions, warm and dry, being recorded with an electronic device, that transmitted by an artificial medium called the internet.
    if i was to decide to change to a natural style, and watched this video, i’d be very confused and not know where to turn.

    Yes you can define yourself as the suit but it's important to mention you can also define yourself by the glasses, skin color, gender or some other identity that depending on your concept of the surrounding culture puts this idea of yourself as less than. This is also artificial. You are you, equal as anyone else; same experience of consciousness.

    im not going to share my opinions on the content of what he said, but its always wrong for someone to tell others you should do this or that or you should live the way i think you should live. even with good intentions that is fascism and if you take it to the extreme (which always happens throughout history) then you end up with a ruling class and a slave class. if you think you are living the correct way, then show others by example. we should all have the freedom to choose how we want to live. the fact that he says "everybody showers" shows he is not in touch with reality. 2 billion people dont have the ability to shower

    *"LIFE The Real Self" is The NOTHING, which is "Self-Aware"... It is Non-Dimensional, and in NO WAY represents, nor even remotely looks anything like any species, including the human species ! The word 'Spirit', is an ancient word, that originally meant a "Full description or Record of anything", and NOT what humans believes it to be today ! Here is an example of the word Spirit in Context; "Is it in the spirit of the game ?" That's right, even a Game has a Spirit !*

Head hair, Body hair, Nails, Teeth, Skin, Flesh, Sinews, Bones, Bone Marrow, Kidneys, Heart, Liver, Diaphragm, Spleen, Lungs, Large Intestines, Small Intestines, Stomach, Feces, Brain, Bile, Phlegm, Pus, Blood, Sweat, Fat,Tears, Grease, Saliva, Mucus, Oil of the Joints, Urine. Your body are thus. After it you discover that you are not your body so you get rid from the make up.

    Then can someone give me an example of what he/ her really is? Is it possible to describe in words. Or is it only understandable if you look into yourself. I know what he is trying to say and it makes sense to let go. But i think it would really help to have an example on what the hell we are under the "artifical" .. but maye starting that question is the essensce of what is not the true me.... maybe the answer is so simple that we can not comprehend it with our artifical thinking.

    Openness is quite possibly the greatest virtue. For example: There could be an archery range next to your street on the left side. If you go there maybe you will become the greatest archer of all time. But you will never see it even exists if you always go right. The same can be applied when having conflict with other people. Always embrace empathy. Maybe they can not understand your point of view because they have never seen outside of their small sphere of attention. Or maybe it´s you who has never expanded his/her vision. Always embrace new. Go to another street when walking your dog every day. There could be something awesome just a street away from your mundane routine. Break it.
