    Hello GiGi, Thank you so much for all your amazing Amazon training tips! I binge watched 10-12 of your Amazon interview tips and some of the advice you gave, really helped me. My favorite was the your "Pro -Tip" from one of you clients to use a poster board (with all your stories) behind or near your screen for virtual interviews. I followed that strategy and my interviews went brilliantly! 😊

    Hi GG, I finished my interview loop on April 18 and received an offer on April 25! This has been the toughest job market I've experienced in a long time and I had almost lost all hope. I was laid off in November 2022 and have been unemployed for almost a year and a half! Your videos made the biggest difference in my interview preparation and I am forever grateful! They were so informative and easy to follow. The interview process at Amazon can be overwhelming, but your videos, especially your Tips and Tricks videos, had the information I needed to help me get the offer. Thank you so much!

      I think this may fall under the category of “teams doing their own thing”. It’s certainly not standard practice but in that 2 team members did exactly the same thing, it could be a team thing. The Bar Raiser probably won’t do it but they’re not in the room for the rest of the interviews other than their own.

I have already met with the recruiter and have my first real interview next week. It doesn't seem to be with the hiring manager so I'm thinking a co-worker. It is for a Sr PM role and I'm very excited! Do you have any insights on what behavioral questions this first round may contain from a potential peer? • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah- at loop it’s often used for a warm up question. My position isn’t that it shouldn’t ever be asked- rather that it isn’t evidence of your ability to raise the bar on the leadership principles. At final stage it gets used as a warm up question rather than as evidence and that’s perfectly reasonable.

  • @ebendus

    Please GG answer this question--I am interviewing for a "Finance Manager" role...I originally applied for 3 other finance manager roles in different departments, they were remote! Sourcer e-mailed me and said we really want to interview you...THIS ROLE, still a finance manger role, still 100% remote (there is no physical location in my city), but in this department "Traffic & Marketing Tech" Didn't apply for this department? No clue what they do? Will have to look it up? Watched your "Why Amazon video?" I do think that is a super important question to get right...depending on what this department does, I am afraid I will have nothing to relate to this department, and I am seriously going to fail my first interview/phone screen and be the 1-2/10 that don't make it past round 1. I KNOW I CAN GET THIS JOB, I exceed all of the minimum requirements for the roll and all of the preferred. I understand what I am expected to deliver from your videos...I have examples. I am overthinking this. My nerves will get the best of me. I will stumble on my words. I will ramble.

    • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don’t know anything about the department either 1) ask for information or 2) skip that bit in the why amazon. You can always tell your interviewer that you were approached by a sourcer you don’t have much info on the team and you’re excited to use this interview as an opportunity to find out more

Right now, I have completed and passed the assessment, and I have been invited to schedule a phone screening. I am going to schedule it for Tuesday at the earliest. I work a Hybrid schedule currently and would rather do it on my lunch when I am at my home...my problem I think is I am taking in TOO MUCH INFORMATION on the amazon interview process? and I don't know what will vs. will not be covered during the phone screening vs. later parts of the interview process, if I am not one of the 1-2/10 that are turned down after round 1. Ok, so now that I know for the first interview AKA first phone screen I need to focus exclusively on this video and write down all of the information in this video in my notes...now for the "walk me through your resume" What I am used to is typically, tell me what were your daily tasks in your most recent 2 jobs? (I'm assuming for Amazon I will of course relate that to the job description, which I have already done since I have tailored my resume to the JD) and in my response I will relate it to the leadership principals as well? Now in SOME not all interviews the interviewer will go through the rest of my resume and say you worked at this org and did this role from date X-Y? and just repeat this all the way down my resume, and confirm my education in some instances, tech requirements if the role required? etc.? Is this similar for the amazon "Resume deep dive" or should I be prepared for something else? ***I am also going to be prepared with 10 projects from my last 2 roles that relate to the role responsibilities AND as many leadership principals as I can. @@amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503 Ok, I am sorry, this is REALLY the last thing...and then I will get back to my preparing and I am going to watch this video like 15 more times...when I am giving my examples in this first phone screen or the next interview (because I am going to knock this out of the park and I WILL be moving on) 😃 As an example, I don' have the leadership principals in front of me but I know the first one was customer service being at the forefront. When I was working at Cap1, we also had a operating principal that customer service and building strong and long term client relationships was of the up most importance! So when I am giving examples of my projects and/or an example and answering a question and I am incorporating a leadership principal should I say--I utilized Amazon leadership principal X and specifically name it? So it is super clear to the interviewer? (I don't want to leave anything up to interpretation-that I know them, reviewed them, or that I have demonstrated them in my most previous roles)! What do you recommend here please? ***Because even on my first interview/phone screen when I am going over my projects-I want to be brief but I want to explain that I used the leadership principals to demonstrate I know them/and have used them.
