Thanks. Have you dried out up north yet? I have gotten about 1 hunt a week for the last month. Sick of rain & overcast skies.

Deej, I haven't been out in about a week. Nothing but rain here too. I am going tomorrow for awhile and then we are suppose to get 1/2" of rain Wednesday, and a inch on Thursday. What a mess! All the best to you!

I am so glad that you mentioned about hand trowels in parks.
I have never heard it called a “tot lot” before. We just call those areas playgrounds. More and more they are using the wood chips and yes, the fabric material underneath. I would suppose that some over zealous Detectorists would not even think of that and possibly damage that material. Stuff like that makes us look bad and gets us kicked out of parks.
That sniper coil is awesome! Thanks for showing us that and for those great tips! 😊

Good video Deej, but I think you need some discrimination for the iron audio to work on the Ace 400.

excellent tips Deej, and cool clearing the tot area up from dangerous objects :) the people that take a shovel may be using them to keep kids away lol some of those lil devils are dangerous lol :)

Well done Deej, the only place i dont use my shovel, is swing sets, and water hunting, a good place too is around the sand box areas, where kids play with their toy cars..always seems to be rings around them. ;) atb

Rings can be found behind the swings too from them slipping off fingers when people push the kiddies

Hope it dries out for you up there. I know you're probably itching to get out there!!! Nice instructional video.
I use a small 3 prong trowel, which just scrapes, doesn't really even dig. MAN, that's a really small coil!!!!
    Good advice!

Nice job with the information Deej! I don't have much luck in the tot lots I need a coil like this. I have dug up huge metal pieces left over from the old playground ver dangerous. ATB Amy
