So now we prepare a vegan counterpart for every traditional Filipino dish, the meat substitute being jackfruit. As a non-vegan, I've been impressed and can say it could have fooled me if I did not know. BTW, I'm sure you've received lots of comments already by now about the "proper" way to best enjoy halo-halo, you mix and mix and mix til its almost liquid and purple and drinkable, so Harry scores a Pinoy point👍

Yes, you're vert right about that. The best way to eat halo-halo is when it's already properly mixed. That's when you truly get to appreciate how delicious it is. It's our pride, Filipino pride. One of the best desserts in the world. The need therefore to advise foreigners to mix properly well first, before eating.

Sisig is just a drinking food. Children and women who dont go to bars and drink alcohol need not eat this food item. No one actually eats Sisig with rice.

Well the proper way to eat that halo halo is you should crushed that ice formation on your glass by using your spoon until it melt a little and it becomes into a liquid formatoin and at that time you gonna stir it up by your spoon so that all the ingredients will gonna mix up with one another thats why its name is derive into HALO HALO and by translation it basically means Mix mix.. meaning mix all first the ingredients before eating/drinking it ..

Try to eat our beef or pork nilaga beef pork stew and also beef bulalo you will love it. Also beef caldereta and beef afritada most of our food is more spanish bcoz we are colonize by spaniards and american and japanese that we have very good food here Specialy try our lechon specially cebu lechon its very delicious you will love it

I wonder if you could have made an arrangement with the restaurant to have the food served Spanish tapas style since you're pretty much sampling half the menu.
Another foreign vlogger trying Filipino food without RICE. You should ALWAYS and ALWAYS eat it with rice. Becaue it will be like just eating Honey, Blueberry or Maple syrup without Pancakes. And eating the syrup alone isnt too pleasurable coz its too sweet, you need to pour it to the pancake to balance the taste. Thats how you eat Filipino food. It SHOULD BE WITH RICE. ALWAYS! Even the soup. Yes! You read it right. Even the soup should be with eaten with rice.
Stop gatekeeping, let them figure it out by themselves. If they want full flavour, no balancer or carbs, they are entitled to it. Rice is only a preference/suggestion.

Well the proper way to eat that halo halo is you should crushed that ice formation on your glass by using your spoon until it melt a little and it becomes into a liquid formatoin and at that time you gonna stir it up by your spoon so that all the ingredients will gonna mix up with one another thats why its name is derive into HALO HALO and by translation it basically means Mix mix.. meaning mix all first the ingredients before eating/drinking it ..
I never mixed it. I liked the heterogeneity. To each his own. Halo halo doesnt mean mix mix, that's the definition of stupid people. (Its like saying tabi tabi is side side ang kumpol kumpol is cluster cluster, that's not how the filipino language work if you have listened to your filipino class) Hslo halo just means that it is a mixture of different things, and you can eat that mixture however the fuck you want.

The peach mango pie recommendation is like someone going to US for the first time and being told to go to McDonald's for their apple pie. Good but you could get that anywhere. Desserts to try: taho from a street vendor, polvoron, turon, karioka, fresh mango, ginataan bilo bilo, bibingka, cassava cake, mamon, esaymada, biko, suman, puto bumbong, buko pie

Another foreign vlogger trying Filipino food without RICE. You should ALWAYS and ALWAYS eat it with rice. Becaue it will be like just eating Honey, Blueberry or Maple syrup without Pancakes. And eating the syrup alone isnt too pleasurable coz its too sweet, you need to pour it to the pancake to balance the taste. Thats how you eat Filipino food. It SHOULD BE WITH RICE. ALWAYS!
