Yes sometimes I get this problem with AC3 but AC unity’s dodge mechanic is way less reliable, sometimes it doesn’t even show you the icon of the person shooting and the animation is long and you get shot half the time doing it anyway, don’t get me wrong I really like AC Unity’s combat but the dodging of gun fire is by far the weak point of it
Unity's melee combat is the best AC combat to date. The dodging still evades us. What I hate about Unity is that class of enemy that can crouch to dodge any and all bullets, even while blinded by smoke.

For me, the combat peaked in this game. Performing finishing moves on groups of enemies with that intense music really made you feel like such a badass.

Btw Mr Edxwx one trick learned is that if you want to take down the brutes or the officers without breaking the chain attacks you to break their defense to them take them down. Heres how I do it. As soon I perry and take down the regular soldier and then I move on to the next, when I hover my target approach toward the brute or the officer, automatically, I press the break down defense button and then immediately press the attack button and the chain works like a boss
Just noticed that the animation for putting the pistol away has Connor placing it on his right hip, but the holster is on his left hip. Good job Ubisoft.
Got to learn to counter, parry and break defense, to get the Ai angry more. Just toy with the AI more. Than just hitting attack. Its easy to do but hard to master.
When red icon comes up, for small fry soldiers, press E once, then left click mouse button once, he's dead. When in a shootout, press space once when the yellow icon comes up, to double kill with swag, press E for red icon, space for yellow icon, only when 2 icons come at once. For generals, press E once when red icon comes up and then press space once, after that repeated left mouse clicks will kill him. To kill with gun while countering press Q after pressing E
Rookie Yeh I know, it works for all the other games it’s just this game that it won’t work for. Played this game so many times before it was remastered never had this problem. 🤷🏻♂️
I think it's just a remastered bug. Had a problem with the combat too, where I pull out my weapon of choice but I'm unable to attack when in full fledged fight mode.
I’ve beaten it and nothing’s different. There was a missing cutscene in the mission where Myriam marries Norris but that cutscene was missing in the original too
Why not take a challenge? Maximum wanted level No free running No counter kills Only tool kills and simple attack and disarm Low profile and high profile assassinations allowed Pass through entire town using blending. Try it. It would be fun and test of real assassin.

I was in Boston on this game and there is 6 patriots aiming at me, they all the shoot the same horse and the horse ends up getting back on its feet
