The LC500s actually look like those concept cars that are paraded out at autoshows but never see the real world. Sarah, you're absolutely right, they are a true work of art. And that pumpkin orange interior is to die for.
I really like the orange interior but there is too much black for me. Mine in white with Carmel interior. Should be here in a couple of weeks. It’s lost as inventory on the dealers site, so I know it’s on its way. Come on spring 🏖️

I struggle to understand what the point of this car with this powertrain is. For as many people who already mention the disparity in this car's looks and its performance, the 500H takes that performance and says "less of that please".
@@jimmy-buffett I hear you. Unfortunately, change is inevitable. I've read many reasons why, but the one that stands out is Government CAFE (average fleet fuel economy) regulations. Perhaps an aftermarket exhaust would improve the sound of this car. I own a 2013 LS460 and hope to keep it for many years to come. The replacements are just not the same without that V8.
@@fishflash1 I don't mind change as long as it's an improvement. The hybrid system in the NSX is an improvement. I'm a former LS460 owner as well, and the new TTV6 engine is impressive. Reliability worthy of the badge, I'm not sure yet. If anybody can figure forced induction reliability out, Toyota can. But I fully expect it to take some time, during which all of these outgoing V8's will have great resale.
No, no, it's not. I would venture to say that most people that can afford a car that costs over $100k don't care about the environmental impact unless they are virtue signaling.

The best part of the non-hybrid Lexus LC is its bipolar nature: quiet comfortable grand tourer when you want it to be, muscle car hooligan when you don't. The convertible adds another dimension to that: highway drive to your destination in comfort, arrive and drop the top to fully enjoy the destination. The LC500H (only available as coupe) takes those 4 possible personalities and removes 3 of them for just ~$3000 less starting MSRP. And if you're buying this car, the extra $3000 is nothing. It is great to hear at 15:49 "I'm more impressed with it than I thought I was going to be". This will likely be the most beautiful efficiency-focused hybrid vehicle ever built. If sales numbers are any indication, there's a miniscule market for such a vehicle at 3 times the price of a well-spec'd Prius.
Sarah, this channel is the Cracker Jack prize, the gum in the Blow Pop, but definitely not the glob in the Tootsie Pop. It's an added bonus to S -n- T. This is one classy car and the presentation was on point. So smooth, the shift points were difficult to hear. Loved the desert scape views during the driving impressions. Delightful monthly edition.

Hi Sarah, Fun and full of technical info at the same time, the best YT car review channel. The interior of this Lexus is original, sporty and luxurious at the same time. A suggestion for the braking test, you could compare the stopping times of the cars, even after the fact during video editing and make a ranking.🙂
I hope people at Lexus sit around and watch you appreciate their works of art! You'd be a great spokes-mechanic-model if you didn't love working for yourself so much. And if they didn't mind a couple innuendos every 15-30 minutes.
One of the things that a lot of people miss with these new electric hybrid drive trains, the CVT portion is not the traditional belt CVT. Basically it’s an electric motor/generator that kicks in and provides the constant velocity of the transmission. It is completely geared and so doesn’t suffer from the belt issues of a traditional CVT. This allows the ICE to stay in the optimum power band and the electric motor to keep adding the juice on top. They are quite ingenious and a totally different CVT.
@@nchristensen3309 well it technically is a Constant Velocity Transmission so CVT is still correct. Although sometime it’s labeled as an eCVT to try and differentiate. It is still a very new technology so the terminology can change.
You're the first person that I've heard that didn't rave about how impressed they were with how fast it was, here you seem to make it seen like it's just ok when in actuality that is a fast performance car.
It's interesting how the interior color changes in the different camera views, seems like it will be difficult to get an accurate idea without being in person. I like the idea of the Hybrid version, but could NOT ignore the V8 version...so I'd have to get the V8 (and I really want one)

One of the bests Toyotas: that most Toyota owners can only see at showrrooms, but can't afford, and not even at Lexus dealers, because owners prefer the V8. Still it is a work of art.
I've seen this car on the road only a few times, usually in Scottsdale Az. And WOW! This car is a neck snapping head turner. It truly is a sexy sexy looking car. It's too bad it didn't sell better. What a beautiful work of rolling art. Nothing out of Europe currently matches is, I'm serious. I see them all in Scottsdale.
I personally enjoy the way you deliver the content, great job. I do own the hybrid model and enjoy the ride every time along with the eye porn when i see it in the garage .
Hi Sarah, you are a great interviewer! I love the details you mention that I believe are very important to know. I am an X Porsche mechanic from the 70s and most interviewers only cover how the car drives and sounds, but you do a better job covering mechanical and materials used! PS the car is beautifully built and looks amazing like yourself. Prefer the V8 though!
Just a guess here but I'd bet part of the sales problem this car had was the letters cvt, regardless of the fact that it may not be a traditional cvt. That and the fact that the 3.5 v6 altho being fancier then the minivan engine, the output is similar on paper.
Hey Sarah, I think after your last LC500 review I found my way out to the Lexus website. It came across the Bespoke and speced out a beautiful V8 with that interior, chrome blacked out ,carbon fiber Roof and wing , that metallic orange color and the optional black rims, pretty sick if you’re gonna do it Bespoke is the way to go I just wish I could go that way🙂 Great job on this one I was wondering about the hybrid very interesting for sure. I had a 350Z Track . It had the orange interior trim. It HAD to be cleaned every week. I think this one would take a lot of care too. ;)

I've got a 2004 CLK 320 that's cleaner underneath. Probably a large reason why it's near 300Hp engine gets nearly 30mpg.
I’m ordering one right now. Tomorrow it gets finalized.
