the water droplet trick is a very fast strobe light synced up to the drop of the water so it always appears in the same place. sadly I can't remember the name of the effect but essentially our eyes have a shutter speed called a flicker fusion rate and this device plays on that. interestingly the flicker fusion rate of most people is different than a camera's shutter speed and that is why you get the water going in reverse. edit to add vegetables go bad because of ethylene gas build up and storing them in a paper bag will do the same thing as the produce saver.

3:10 That's a simple optical illusion, that relies on strobe effect and the frame rate of a camera (or our eyes).
Note, that many times when we look at some spinning wheels, like car wheels, they seem to spin "backwards" (counter clockwise), even though the car is moving forward - it's basically the same thing.
In some action films, where Gatling system guns were used (like the miniguns in "The Matrix", "Terminator" or "The Predator", basically multi-barreled gun systems), the movie crews had to LOWER the gun's RPM, because the actual one was the same as camera's frame rate, so in turn gun's barrels were appearing to not revolve at all in the recorded material.
Also, there are some videos on YT, showing for example helicopters hovering in the air, with their main rotor blades appearing to be completely static, as if the engine was off. Again, same thing here - the rotor blades are spinning with the same speed, as the camera frame rate, hence the illusion, but you won't see the same with the naked eye, since our "eye frame rate" is different, than camera's.
3:34 Who needs a portable hot plate? I have an Alienware laptop, which uses a lot of components, typically found in desktop PCs, i.e. they're not really energy efficient. Meaning, I can cook porkchops, bacon strips and fried eggs directly on my keyboard, when I'm gaming😂
6:54 This. Nal says, she hates chopping vegetables. I do appreciate the existence of all these kitchen gadgets, that are supposed to make my life easier, but when I think about the fact, that afterwards I have to basically dismantle each one of them, clean them, then put them back together, I also think that I'm just better off with plain ol' kitchen knife. I can do all the work with it, it needs less space, it takes like two seconds to clean it, and it only requires sharpening every now and then.

Nal, a good idea for food preservation is a vacuum sealer.
I have one that will seal plastic containers as well as the disposable self made baggies. I put all kinds of foods in them and they last forever if put in the freezer. Just pay close attention to the directions and don't put lids to containers in a dishwasher or it will compromise the seals.

The Apple Corer/Slicer is actually quite useful.
You might struggle cos it takes a a fair bit more effort to get it through the Apple than a knife and the best way is to get your bodyweight on top of it but your height challengedness might make it a bit difficult.
I’m surprised to see it on a list of “new fangled” gadgets though; we got ours sometime before my daughter was born…. She’s twenty now….

Um, for the bedside water dispenser at 9:01 the guy says it "pumps H3O into your glass" ... er I hope not, because H3O is also called Hydronium and is _incredibly_ acidic at room temperature. Like, it's _the most_ acidic substance that can exist in water without becoming unstable and violently reacting with the water itself. SO I really hope that dispenser _isn't_ dispensing H3O into the glass, and is in fact dispensing H20 ... you know, actual water??

There is also machines that can wash items for you .... might wanna get one ... works brilliant for those who hate washing items.
Just learn the right soap ratio for your machine in order to avoid soap on items after wash. Usually less then they ask you to use, because that is the only downside i found :P
Or you could just INSTANTLY wash it off RIGHT after use ... that is what i do for most items ... makes it SO much easier before stuff dries up and get stuck really well.

I'm very very much Canadian, but even for here I've always been particularly comfortable in the cold. For me 20 degrees is where things start going downhill, 25 is where it's getting to be too hot, and anywhere 30+ I find disgusting in ways I can't even describe. On the other end of things, I don't bother finding my winter jacket till -10ish, and it's -25/30 before I start to feel like it's actually cold out....

The red liquid device has drips of liquid falling down at a regular frequency but is flashing the LEDs at a frequency a little slower then the drip frequency this makes the drips appear like they are falling upwards. Think of it as if there are 10 drips a second the LEDS flash 9 times in the same time amount. Drips are still in fact falling hence why you can fill the glass.

Hi, The drops filling the glass going up. Well the drops are going down. And its the speed the camera is taking the movie. That makes the drops look like they are going up. its called the strobing effect. Because if you look at the clock on the top of the device it is flickering. Meaning the recording device is recording at a slower speed than normal.

Depending on how you use your spinach I think it's easier to use frozen stuff, good for smoothies and pasta, if you use it for salads and stuff probably not, same for many veges, my dietician told me most of the frozen veg you get is as good as fresh veg, if you steam it or defrost it to use there is basically no difference, microwave may take some flavour away, but nutrition wise you get just as good and it doesn't spoil.
