Plus the original version of Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida from the 90's. Some Single Player Modes that resemble the modes in Smash. Some Voice Acting. And characters like Rocko, Steve And Blue From Blues Clues, Spider-Man As A Guest Character, And A New Avatar Character like Azula Or Sokka. Give me any of that and I will be a happy man.

Garfield is one of the best character designs in the game, up there with CatDog and Lucy Loud in terms of my favourites. The character I hope to get in the most is Miko Kubota from Glitch Techs. The show is perfect for video game tie-ins and it really deserves more attention.
Now that there’s official voice acting coming soon, I’m curious to hear who will voice Garfield in English. Fun fact: I met Gerard Surugue as Bugs Bunny and Garfield’s French voice so they are both in their own fighting game now.

It's most likely based on an archaic film-making decision, in which they either stuff peanut butter in an animal's mouth to give the illusion that they talk in film, or they simply don't do that and just film the animals on the screen while dubbing over the character shots. Two examples of the latter I can think of would be from Disney: "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey", and "The Jungle Book: Mowgli's Story". Although those movies were after Garfield existed, it's possible this concept was made before Garfield made his debut in the Pendelton Times. Now, Garfield speaking with a movable mouth would come off as weird, but I say it's even weirder when Garfield is paired off with a couple of animal characters that didn't follow this guideline; not just Orson's Farm as a whole (although it's more of a different universe altogether), but I'm sure there some Garfield-specific animal characters in Garfield and Friends that talk with moving lips (th-cam.com/video/aWEHddK3hJ4/w-d-xo.html). If anything, having Garfield and his other friends in the Garfield-verse discarding this guideline would've made it less problematic. I absolutely love Garfield in this game, I’m all for the unconventional characters, and I loved watching The Garfield Show growing up. Guess that explains why talking instead of thinking doesn’t bother me. Also, I have a nostalgic tie to that Final Boss theme from that Garfield Genesis game thanks to you.
I thought Garfield’s neutral air with his arms and legs stretched out was supposed to resemble a Garfield suction cup doll. I didn’t know he grows saber tooth teeth during his get-up animation though. It goes too fast for me to notice.
in orange and black (garfield show with the sabertooth refrence) its halloween and garfield is saying (or thinking its wierd) that the more scary the coustume is the more candy he will get, and just so happens some zoo animal (you see it in the title card) escaped the zoo and is VERY dangerous, so he grabs a teddy seal's teeth from the basement and paints black on him, and scares the locals, ending up in the zoo after all of them call animal control, the zoo animal also got in jon's house, and when garfield escapes, there already running from it, he end's up getting caught and back in the zoo

As a little bit of trivia for you and many others, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl marks Garfield’s first appearance in a piece of Nickelodeon media in general. I don' t have the game but Garfield is the most polished character by far, especially with the move names. I'm gonna guess the next DLC fighter will be Nate from Big Nate, since they might wanna promote the show for Paramount+. If this guess is correct, I might have to tell my tween and early teen self to get ready to tell me a LOT about the Big Nate comics/books knowledge that I still remember!

If you pay attention the most characters moves are full of references. It just looks janky a lot of the time because the animations are so short. I think they could've fixed it by making the animations a bit lengthier but in exchange letting you cancel them. (In smash these are called IASA frames) Other people have suggested that they could increase the hitstun (the freeze frames after getting hit) so the characters hold their pose for longer after doing an attack.
i a firm believer that garfield's theme being jazzy is a reference to the early 80s garfield specials that had music by lou rawls made for them tho one thing i will say is that garfield on the town showed garfield actually fighting like how an actual pissed off cat would fight and i kinda would have liked to see just a tiny bit more of that in his moveset but either way its no biggie

His up special is called Feral Cat, and it reminds me of the evil cat from the "Primal Self" part of the book, when he's about to attack the old lady. Lots of crazy fun stuff you can do with her in combat. Plus, always nice to see another girl join the cast.) El Tigre (representation!! Also, those claws and superpowers could really add something) Princess Azula (the game has a lack of villain reps. And by lack I mean NONE (unless you count Zim, which is… debatable given he’s the protag of his show), Azula’s the best choice to add in my opinion. Also, talk about moveset potential with her firebending.)
Heres my request: Inspector Gadget (a cybernetic man with many whacky moves, from the gadget copter to the inflatable coat) I'm sure his stage would be Metro City (if the game had spirit battles like smash then Dr.Claw would be the legend)

Nope, Finn and Jake will not be in this game because Nickelodeon do not own the rights to Adventure Time. Which is why they'll be in the Warner Brother Smash Game "Multiversus" because Cartoon Network owns the show and characters. And no, Garfield is not from Cartoon Network. He had a show that aired on Cartoon Network, but that doesn't mean they own the character. Nickelodeon also aired "Garfield and Friends", along with shows like "Tiny Toon Adventures", "Animaniacs", and "Pinky and the Brain", but they did not own those shows. Nickelodeon bought the rights to Garfield a few years ago so now he IS owned by Nickelodeon.

Since I don't have this game, I have to ask: are there super moves in this game akin to Final Smashes? If they were to add them in, I could imagine Garfield's being a reference to the Pet Force continuity. At this point, there are three characters that I would love to see added in for DLC: Jimmy Neutron, Daggett Beaver, and, although she's not from a Nicktoon, Alex Mack. I also wouldn't mind seeing stages based on Legends of the Hidden Temple or Guts.
Personally, I'm hoping for Dib, Jimmy Neutron, Squidward, Plankton & Karen, and Otis. I also would like to see Miko from GlitchTechs and Tak from the Power of Juju as well.

I thought that too with the neutral air attack but the way the mouth looks like he's screaming made me re-think that.

Princess Azula (the game has a lack of villain reps. And by lack I mean NONE (unless you count Zim, which is… debatable given he’s the protag of his show), Azula’s the best choice to add in my opinion. Also, talk about moveset potential with her firebending.)

I am today years old, now realizing that even when I did read the comics Garfield never talked.
I remember a trivia quiz that asked "What does Garfield always say? Trick question, he can't talk, he thinks."

Nope, Finn and Jake will not be in this game because Nickelodeon do not own the rights to Adventure Time. Which is why they'll be in the Warner Brother Smash Game "Multiversus" because Cartoon Network owns the show and characters.
And no, Garfield is not from Cartoon Network. He had a show that aired on Cartoon Network, but that doesn't mean they own the character. Nickelodeon also aired "Garfield and Friends", along with shows like "Tiny Toon Adventures", "Animaniacs", and "Pinky and the Brain", but they did not own those shows. Nickelodeon bought the rights to Garfield a few years ago so now he IS owned by Nickelodeon.

Since I don't have this game, I have to ask: are there super moves in this game akin to Final Smashes? If they were to add them in, I could imagine Garfield's being a reference to the Pet Force continuity.
At this point, there are three characters that I would love to see added in for DLC: Jimmy Neutron, Daggett Beaver, and, although she's not from a Nicktoon, Alex Mack. I also wouldn't mind seeing stages based on Legends of the Hidden Temple or Guts.

WARNING! MASSIVE RUMOR ALERT FROM ACCURATE LEAKERS AHEAD! And it's not good news.
According to the leaks there are no new Loud House reps, and Lincoln was cut along with 10 other characters. Honestly, I I don't think Leo, Mikey, and Lincoln deserved to be cut.

The next DLC character is supposed to be Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And down the road, Rocksteady and Bebop (featured in the datamine leak) will be included. So it seems like this game is coming in hot with TMNT reps!
