- Lechon Paksiw is a tangy, sweet pork stew made from chopped fried pork belly, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, and liver sauce. You can also use left-over roasted pig or lechon baboy for a quick-fix dish that you can serve for gatherings, special holidays, or even on ordinary days.
Here are the ingredients:
1 kilo pork belly
salt and pepper to taste
cooking oil for frying
For Paksiw Sauce:
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
4 tbsp liver powder or 1 small can liver spread
2 cups water
2 pieces of beef broth cubes
3/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
4-5 tbsp bread crumbs soaked in 1 cup water
3/4 cup muscovado or light brown sugar
3 pieces bay leaves
2 tsp ground black pepper
NOTE:
COOKING IS ALL ABOUT YOUR TASTE. JUST ADJUST ACCORDINGLY.

Same effect lang po ba with slurry? cornstarch + water? or iba ang dating pag breadcrumbs?
Though pwede naman ang slurry pero mas iba at mas masarap ang pagkalapot ng soaked bread crumbs. 🙂
Naku wala ma bilhan ng liver spread dito.. Ano po pwede alternative?
Use real liver na lang po
