Nice work Jacky! I use ratchet straps for the same thing at work all the time. Anytime you can get a bearing from a bearing house, you'll save tons of money verses going to the OEM!
Thanks for watching. I get so much help -good advice from TH-cam. When I’m working on something new the first thing I do is TH-cam it. Have a good weekend
How do you know if you have a bearing out? I finished baling with my 8450 and went to start again the next day and it was squealing. I looked and the belts weren't turning? I am thinking the main bearing that turns the belts has given out? How can I check this? can I take the chains and belts off and see if it will turn? will it mess up any timing or is there not any timing on around baler? Most of the other rollers seem to turn by hand. They don't have a chain or belt on them. I looked at the pickup and it seem to work. Any ideas?
Thanks for watching. I would let it idle and try to pin point the noise. If it is squealing it should heat up. You might can find it with a hand held temp gun. You can take the drive and pickup chain off and work the tailgate to get slack in the belts. Then you should be able to roll the drive rollers. Mine drives from the top and bottom. There’s no timing on my 8455. Might want to unhook the pickup and try it to see if the noise continues. I hope this helps. Let me know what you come up with.
@@GerraldFarms Thanks I know what I will be doing tomorrow. Why did you buy the bearings where you did instead of a Case/IH dealer? How did you know what the bearing # was?
If the bearings not to bad you might can get the numbers off it. If not carry the inner race that fits the shaft and the outer piece that fits the flange and parts house can mic it to get a replacement. Was the pickup turning when it was making noise? If not it might be the clutch disc the Baler slipping. I just found your channel.
Nice job, decent price but sales tax on ag parts? Getting use to no sales taxes or State taxes up here in Anchorage Alaska but all prices are HIGH! Even groceries are high, $4.00 for a gallon of milk, the cheapest, local produced milk is $5.49
I was wondering if you ever looked into the baler monitor box. I am trying to hook my 8450 to my tractor. It has two wires a + and a -. I don't want to hook it up wrong. I took a picture but don't know how to post to youtube. I have it on www.haytalk.com under machinery. Can ya help me out. Thanks.
The folks that had mine before me had cut the end off and put small alligator clips on each wire. I just ran it through the door frame up to the front of the tractor to the battery. Do you have an actual plug that it could go into? I have a Case IH 75C.

I’ll go look at mine when I get back to the shop.
In my box one wire is red + the other is black _. The red power wire has a fuse in it. I tried to find your pix. I hope this helps.
Thanks
