Living and working (hard) in the Valais, I would sometimes "escape" to Ticino, as a "Mediterranean" getaway. Sitting out in a grotto, enjoying the vino, looking out at the water - so relaxing. The Italian culture of dolce vita was definitely more present there.
Hi Gaby. Yes, the Grotto culture of Ticino is really amazing! I pretty much love everything about Ticino. This canton is just perfect for Summer! Valais is very enjoyable during every season.
Bravo! Bel video!
Mi piacciono molto entrambi i posti.
My grandparents are from Vogorno. I’d love to visit. They brought their traditions to us in California. I still make polenta and stew in my big copper pot. Very special
@@DjemoGraphic hope so too. About 5 or 6 times I think for 2 weeks each, I go to Ticino usually or Glarus area. Switzerland feels like home away from home. You are very lucky to live in such a place. I visited many places in Switzerland because of your videos🇨🇭
Enjoyable video, many thanks. We love Switzerland and will be making another trip to your wonderful country at the end of next month. We stayed in Bellinzona in Sept 2022 and found it a great base for exploring the Ticino. Staying in Bern next month as a good focal point for exploring using Switzerland’s amazing transport network.
Hi. That's great! Ticino is no doubt unbelievably beautiful! I often work in Bern, it's definitely a great base to go for excursions by train. Even Zermatt is just 2 hours away.
Wow another very detailed info. I saw lots of vlogs about Switzerland but I think they should've checked all your videos before traveling to your country. You are the best at discussing, as always. Thank you.
Hi Djimo, nice to see you again in your vlog ❤❤❤. We have been in Ticino before it's amazing place no words to describe Switzerland, very amazing place.hope to come back again....
Hi. Thank you for your nice comment. Switzerland is expensive, when people do the usual things like visiting Interlaken, Zürich and Geneva; the tourism industry there knows that they can charge high prices when the demand to travel there is high. There are a lot less popular places at where people can save a lot of expenses.
It is expensive, but we’ve been to Norway recently and costs there are astronomical! Switzerland is cheap by comparison. I guess true beauty comes at a cost.
It looks like villages without any winter sports facilities and that are not popular winter destinations are the best in Winter. Calm, quiet, beautiful.
Ticino für meinen Mann Lugano gefällt ihm viel ,wo hast du diese schône Polenta gegessen? das sieht so lecker aus ..... Vielen Dank für diese Video ,das war toll ,Bis Bald .
I heard that Val Bavona is still inaccessible from storm damage in June. Any recommendations on the best way to get up to date information on what towns are off limits in Ticino?
Hi. You will need to check in the swiss news ongoingly. As of what I know is that the bridge in Cevio is open already or about to open. Some villages remain partially destroyed for this year such as Fontana. I dont know about Foroglio. I would say, to not expect the situation being normal. There are otherwise other valleys to be visited. Like the Valle Verzasca or Leventina.
👉🏽Ticino or Valais? Which you prefer? 😏🇨🇭

Both! Although I do have a soft spot for Saas-Fee and Zermatt, which I have already visited.
Both!

Hi Donna. That's interesting! Welcome to Switzerland, in which canton do you stay?
@DjemoGraphic lived in Vaud from 1995 to 2023 then moved to val d'Herns in valais. I'm in paradise! You have frequent shots of places near me!

Can you recommend a village that is certain to have snow at Christmas? Possibly in the east.
thanks for the informative video!!! just the background music is too loud
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I have fixed that for my recent videos. Great to hear that you also find it was too loud!
