As a Wurt main, rushing lunar island is a must for kelps. Now you have infinite hunger so as for healing, farm potatoes (20hp when cooked). Potatoes grow any season except summer. Now you just gotta worry about building your army at this point and demolish bosses.

The best way to deal with pirate monkeys is to use a pan flute and jump on theyre boat and set the banner on fire. Then row away as fast as possible, they will try to follow but won't stop the fire. So you can get theyre loot.
Also btw you can bond a beefalo to a bell and get raided by monkeys and let them take the beefalo bell, then when they leave the beefalo will keep running towards the bell that is now in a X mark. Its usually pretty hard to find the X mark and the beefalo can lead you to your stuff after they've been stolen.

You could have saved durian with birdcage. Feeding bird vegies gives you their seeds
