What a beautiful car! I became an MG fan as a child after reading a book: The Red Car. The book was about a teenage boy who bought and repaired a wrecked MG-TC with the help of a mechanic who had once raced cars in Europe. The MG-TC has always been my sentimental favorite, but I had an opportunity to drive an MG-TD while I was in language school in Monterey, CA (one of the other students bought one and asked me to teach him how to drive the manual transmission). And a lovely MG-TC at the Concours presented me with the opportunity to meet Phil Hill in person (he was one of the judges, and I was watching the car for the owner, who had to make a "pit stop"). My first car was a 1956 MGA (it remains the favorite of all the cars I've owned, including two Formula Ford racing cars. My second car was a 1963 MGB.

Very nice, accurate presentation. My first car was a 1952 MGTD MkII. I owned it from 1969 until 1971. I had to sell it to pay my mother back for all the loans she had made me. I was able to get married in 1972 without carrying over that $865 parts debt lol.

I wanted an MGTC, but they are just to expensive, so I bought a cherry mint Honda Shadow Spirit motorcycle instead for 1/20th the price and got my spoked wheel fix on. A lot faster and more reliable than an MG for sure. Believe me, it's got way more chrome on it than I want to polish...
Young people just can not afford to blow $40K on an old hard to find car with hard to find parts that runs and sounds and shifts like a tractor.

That isn't a British registration number, there is no QK location identifier as Q could be confused for O

Forty years ago, I was dating a very attractive flight attendant who was used to getting her way. I told her I was in the market for a British Sports Car. She asked what color, and I said British Racing Green. She tried like hell to change my mind and all I did was shake my head no and repeat the words "British Racing Green". This went on another three or four times until we finally broke up. I will compromise on certain things but not when I am dead right.
