The Strongman Champions League is an annual series of 16 Strongman competitions, which take place all over the World.

when paul smashed that deadlift it was absolutely electric. props mate! congrats on aivars after the shaw classic still smashing it, paul smith proving he's one of the top in the world and gavin for continued success. also good to see all the proven vets and new talent!
Paul's last deadlift was the highlight of the competition for me. Never seen him so animated!

Man, that first log-cary event is amazing, it's so Strongman! We should see it in alot more competitions!
Would need to be height adjusted? For every inch taller than the optimum height ,you got more work to get to moving height plus balance and safety issues as the things has further to drop when off balance. Thats just to the eye test rather than what any tall athletes have said.

It was a great event to watch, however it was clearly more difficult for the taller guys so perhaps should be height adjusted in future (which I believe they do for the yoke?).

@@markuschampos5750 he isn't to small, it's more that he doesn't get enough shows, because Giants Live bring on people who they consider sells the event, in Britain's Paul unfortunately gets given events that alot of people beat him at altho he did amazingly at Strongman Classic in London until last 2 events in deadlift and stones
@@petershortland478 If a strongman wants to climb the rankings he needs to be good at everything or atleast not really bad at many things. Bad deadlift is hard in strongman shows these days, not even Mateusz Kieliszkowski could manage that.
I still think he is to small, it doesn't work in the long run.

The viking walk was a pretty interesting event. Weird, awkward and visually appealing. Good strongman event.
Agreed, but would be concerning in a bigger show where I think measuring results would become very controversial. I'm sure they could mitigate that though.
@@brianmcnamara5890 I think the thing to do would be to segment the two safety logs into 5, 6, etc... "segments" and you measure based on which segment you dropped it in rather than trying to worry about fine measurements. Make each segment a meter long or so.
I dont think its a good strongman event. Its more luck based than the other events i feel. Since you need to get lucky especially on balance backwards and front. And having too many back events in one competition could fatigue athletes more. I would rather that being changed to a medley

I’ve been following strongman for about 6 years and I think this is the first time I was hyped for a SCL show. It makes me want to watch more! It’s great to be introduced to newer or less known athletes through this channel 🙏🏻
Fantastic show, it was mine first live SCL but was better than Giants live. All athletes were brilliant. Had fantastic day out with my son, we get so many great pictures. I'm strongman fan since 1999.

Thank you for brining this to us. I watched many strongman champions league competitions over the years when they were broadcast on Eurosport. This made me quite nostalgic and a nice change of scene from the arena shows. Great job on the mic Loz. Simple, knowledgeable and respectful. Liz, great footage and interactions with the athletes as always.
Thank you Liz. My wife thought (& I agree) that you looked very elegant, even when sitting on the floor filming. Slim Loz did well. A score card of some sort would have been useful. The music was a tad loud for me. Our first ever live show. A great success . Gloucester Quays amazing area. Hope they hold SCL there again.

What a great contest. It has made me even more determined to get my long term health issues under control so I can, fingers crossed, attend it next year, if it does return to Gloucester!!

Aivers and Paul seem in a class of their own here. I read some comments before watching the video and seeing Paul mentioned a lot for his deadlift. A man battling himself to achieve, with no straps too, all raw lifts.
I liked the diverse athletes here. It looked a good show. Very organic in apparatus too. Thanks.

Those are such fun shows. Hopefully they'll start streaming them in the US again soon. Paul just keeps getting better and better and Aivars is such a beast. Good to see him back winning SCL's

Having been to quite a few strongman shows, I would much rather watch this sort of footage, than the front on, event only stuff that gets shown on TV
Got to say, Liz has turned into a pretty decent camera woman.
Always there to get the shots that show the human side of the competitors.
Definitely the next best thing to being there.

Jack looks great but get him on more SCL shows so he gets experience on different kit and used to travelling
So cool to finally see all the giants up close. Paul was a revelation and I really thought he was going to win it. Also great to get a pic and a handshake with you, Loz. My wife was very impressed with the show in general, but specifically when we saw Lucy Underdown in the crowd - that was an unexpected treat!

Looked like a great comp and event. Aivars is truly world-class. One suggestion: would have preferred to see two guys head-to-head in the stones. Not only from a competition and drama perspective but from a time perspective. With 14 guys, the guys going last had to wait a very long time.
Such unique events. Every time I see Gav Bilton I think of Danny McBride in Eastbound and Down.

Paul Smith never ceases to amaze me ,,,his strength and overall ability with farmers etc consideing hes basically my size and about as muscular is ridiculous ...how can he possibly be stronger than Gav or Andy ,it defies logic

@@alansmith8837 he’s a class act I comment about it on all loz’s videos …..Paul’s only weakness is he looks normal so they can’t sell him as a giant like they do with Andy and gav …..he’s a far better strongman than a lot of people who seem to get more chances ,he’s definitely the overlooked man so many times

Great event and weight selection. the viking walk just looked amazing, hope to see it again at worlds or at the arnold or something. The logs and farmers where just beautiful and only 2 out of 14 finishing the stones. Just a really great show!

These SCL shows are so much better than the indoor Giants live shows. Just a shame they don't have the athletes such as Novikov and stoltman brothers and Hooper competing in them it would be much better. The events look good the log yoke and the big awkward farmers walk looked good I really like the deadlift.. Only a shame that they only had FIVE events again not enough events for a true all-around strongman contest really needs 6 or more.. Paul Smith did so well against the giants. Bloody shame these shows are not longer on TV here in England anymore.

The idea of the SCL is get newer athletes in gives them notice by the big promoters like WSM, that's why Aivors gets an invite regularly, Kelvin and Mika will probably return next year,

Great performance by Paul but I could not help but laugh when they showed the podium and Paul was still shorter than Gav despite placing higher.

Meal 1 - one litre of milk, with 5 dl (2 cups) oats and 2 dl (0.84 cups) sugar.
Meal 2 - Potato and meat (lots of it), vegetables.

Meal 4 - Pasta and chicken with vegetables.
Meal 5 - One litre of yogurt.
Meal 6 - Tuna fish, bread.
Meal 7 - One litre of milk, with 5 dc (2 cups) oats.
