    Eddy’s improptu could pass as legit accompaniments with some fine tuning though. Those ears are musical as heck.

      Avantika Pandey If you know this chords of the song and are pretty good at the piano, it’s not too hard to do an accompaniment to a song. Brett just didn’t have very much piano experience, (ex: he played a lot of wrong notes because he wasn’t familiar with the scales).

      If their musical studies are anything like in the US, you have to be proficient in most instruments, but that just means fundamental playing skills. Then you have to focus in two or three. Obviously one of their focuses is violin. I think Eddie focused in piano. In one of their older videos Brett alludes to the fact that he can't play piano (compared to Eddie)

      There's nothing to do with perfect pitch, but rather knowledge about the instrument, music theory and harmonics. Eddy has played piano for about seven years, while Brett probably just have some minimum notion

      @@LemonadeLiberal yeah I can understand 'cause I have a form of synesthesia and I discovered that when I was 17. Before that I thought that everybody associated letters and numbers with colours and I couldn't get why I could memorise sequences of numbers etc easier.
      People without pp though need a little more time to play something, they need some time to figure out the key of a piece the chords etc, while you have a small advantage, you can't deny this :) Pp seems normal to you and awesome to us :D

    Dang, at 2:40 Eddy started to bring in jazz harmony with some 7th chords, there was also diatonic cycle 5 movement. (ii, V7, I, IV, viidim, iii, vi).

    As a Jazz pianist, I usually watch your videos in awe at your ability to precisely remember complex melodic movements in their entirety. I'm always thinking "man, I could never memorise that much melody, I'd just take the core melodic themes and make the rest up 😆". This time around, I'm thinking "come on guys, this is way easier than actually remembering how it's supposed to go and/or sight reading the accompaniment exactly, get on with it 😆".

      when eddy was 4 he played the piano and when he turned 5 he played the violin.. brett however started playing violin when he was 5 and played piano when he was 9

      Eddy started piano at 5 (and played until around age 12) and violin at 6.
      Brett started violin at 5 and piano at 8 (he only played for a few years).

      I know what you mean. I prefer Brett's violin playing slightly. His tone is sweet and full. However, I think in all other aspects of music - theory, keyboard skills, historical knowledge, etc. Eddy is stronger.

      Eddy played piano when he was young (age 5 to 12). Brett also took piano lessons as a kid but for a shorter period, which is why he plays at a lower level.
