You must be an absolute expert at tetris, can't believe how tightly everything is squeezed in there.
Range Rover typically quality control don’t disappoint with such a huge amount of condensation in one tail light 😂

I agree. The price is reasonable, too - so I'm genuinely surprised it hasn't been snapped up yet.
@@notroll1279 honestly not that surprising, the only people who probably knows about a Vel Satis are the enthusiasts, and realistically it needs an enthusiast who knows about them and is prepared to go through upcoming issues and quirks

True, and a private seller might sit on this one for ages.
But this channel has a huge catchment of car interested viewers with a certain amount of trust in High Peak Auto - and it takes only ONE of them to say: "I'm in the market for a used comfy upper middle class barge with a total budget of 10 k £ - so rather than getting a standard high mile Merc/Audi/BMW for 8 k £ with a repair reserve of 2 k £, I'll take this interesting low mileage outlier for 4 k £ and expect to need a lot less for repairs than the 6 k £ change".
If I lived in the UK, that might very well be me...
It would have been interesting with the V6 engine the diesel 2.2 is boring
The Honda Civic has the 1.0 petrol engine with the wet belt which puts a lot of people off.

I always enjoy your tours. The 40 on the Audi is a power band of bhp, which applies to any fuel. So EV, petrol, diesel, hybrid. 30 is 107-127. 35, 145-159. 40 is 165-198 bhp. There are also 25, 45 and 50. Brilliant video as always. Now in the 400-500k subscriber band 👍

I sort of get what they're trying to do, because engine size alone isn't a fair comparison any more due to turbos and hybrids, and most people not caring what's under the bonnet (I'd been driving our work van for a year before I found out it's a mild hybrid). But no, I don't get it.
I don't get it why the german manufactures felt the need to mess up the naming schem. From quite logical to numbers that make no sense at all, Just makes me even less interested in there new stuff with the stupid names
A bit like his prices, okay that someone end up 95, but every damn car.

You should a garage tour once a month,also what about doing one on reg plates ie,if your reg starts with the letter m it may come from Liverpool or Manchester

worked in a nissan dealer as a tech recently and its shocking after this video to realise how many engines renault sell, they are owning the auto manufacture world atm and its a sign of the times
there is something about your voice Matt! Its so calming and assuring! I like how you arent flashy and so down to earth unlike the other Matt who must be living in a 1 bed flat and surviving on can of beans but loves to wear burberry and drives a porsche! And, he is obnoxiously loud!

Brilliant Video Matt. As much as the Sportage is a nice looking car I can understand why its hasn't sold. Those DCTs like their manual counterparts aren't the most reliable and typically from 100k plus in my experience of fixing them Korean cars start to fall apart around the 100k mark. I've seen some knackered by 80k. The Hyundai i40 comes to mind. Keep the great videos coming and hello from Scotland! 🏴

Hi Matt, the reason for not selling the Civic is likely to be due to the wet belt issue with the 1L engines, I've owned a few 10th gen Civics and these engines have got a bad reputation. The car is low mileage but I think its every 6 or 7 years these belts need replacing.

Fair prices on those cars im looking for a newer one myself, it's a bit of a waiting game really seeing what the local dealers get in .
A very interesting selection of cars, the problem for me would be thatl would walk into your show room thinking I know what I would like to purchase but no ! I would need to think again.

One of my fav' types of video you do, its like a mini review of all sorts of cars!
I much prefer the slightly facelifted Outlander myself, from the 15 or 65 plate, one of the two.
Newer rear lights and maybe got a larger battery, allowing like 35 or 40 miles of range, etc. Regardless, great video as always Matt
Thanks for the garage tour 👍🏻 the Vel Satis is brilliant. I was selling cars for Renault in 2003 had and ottoman blue Megan to run around in and we had to run in an Aventime to raise awareness. Very hard to sell but I loved it. Great channel Matt. 👍🏻👍🏻

I drove one whilst my xceed was being serviced... I was very impressed with the little thing. As you said, very refreshing... And the handling is surprisingly good (the same way I was surprised with the xceed). The i10 is not even comparable somehow... (Got a few at work).

What about a golden oldies corner?,,,slks,z3s z4s Volvo v70s mercy sclass,,,there is huge market for real cars,,,not washing machines or sensor driven cars that hate driving/loves garages...

Nissan LEAF is the car everyone didn’t know they wanted .
EPedal and speed of the lights is just unreal for any urban environment.
Lots of autos. I’ve got a 19 plate A6 Avant, I doubt I’ll go back to manual gears. Remember when I were a lad in the 80’s any auto that wasn’t German or Jag you avoided like the plague. Some needed a transmission fluid change every 15 to 20k, you didn’t want to leave it longer, now it’s 50k no problem.

Im amazed that the Sportage hasn't sold. Owning one myself I highly recommend it and the price looks about right
I'm not into EV's, but I'd totally agree with you, used Nissan Leafs are really great value. The problem is, the EV market seems to be geared towards £100k SUV's that are faster than my bike - I don't need that from my daily. But the leaf, 4 wheels, a motor and a comfortable place to sit while I go to work and back..... now that could actually be a prospect.

Like the way you always say ‘good colour’ for any blue, dark green, red car. Couldn’t agree more! Of course it is! Far too many cars are boring colours, white / silver / grey / black (owner of dark purple Golf convertible and ‘deep sea blue’ B8 Audi A4).

I am always surprised at how cheap the used cars are in the UK.. As a car dealer myself, most of these cars are x2 the price in continental Europe :)

Its crazy how prices double if you go down south Berrow motors Joe somerseat, has the same sort of cars and you can add 5 grand on his prices , its mad and london i give up . High peak and egerton car sales bolton are about the same prices and i ckeck them both daily .
