  • What is it about max cushioned shoes? Do they hold up on the trails? To be honest, I definitely was not sure about this at first. But this shoe has absolutely surprised me.

I really agree that the shoe is great for walking! I have a pair, and use them mainly for walking, but also some running (have just started, so it is very short runs, like 500 meters). They are the best shoes I have ever had! If you have pain when walking, these shoes can really help. They have helped me a lot. I can walk faster and with less pain. I walk mainly on gravel roads and asphalt, but have tested them on tougher terrain, and they are not at all unstable. I was quite surprised by how stable they are, actually.
With this model, Asics have made a fantastic shoe! There is nothing I don't like about it. I have flat feet and overpronation, and use custom insoles. The problem I have with 99,999% of all shoes, is that they are way too narrow in the midfoot. Nothing really fits a flat footed person. But these shoes does, and that is probably what I like the very best about them. I guess the high stack height have forced Asics to make a wider midfoot to stabilize the shoe. I also like the low drop and the rocker design, that makes walking easy and sort of propels you forward.
I highly, highly recommend Asics's Trabuco Max 2! For me it has been a gamechanger.

@@DeviusPL Hi! I really appreciate your tip. I have never heard of this shoe, but I googled it, and it looks really, really great! It get wonderful reviews too. It has a really wide midfoot, which is great for my flat foot. And I like how the sole at the back of the shoe is rounded (I can't explain it in english). I will definately try this shoe. I have so much trouble finding shoes that fit really well. Asics Trabuco Max is wonderful, and I have been using this shoe only. By the look of it, Hoka Stinson 7 looks just as good. And I would never have found this shoe on my own. So thank you again! I just hope I find a store that sells it. It is not the easiest here in northern Norway. But one store have a lot of Hoka models. I can anyway order it online, but I would prefer to try it in a store.

If you could give some feedback, I'd appreciate it. I have heard great things about the Trabuco Max, and would like to buy them mainly for road walking on tarmac. Is the grip so sticky that it would slow you down on tar, and secondly, are the lugs noticeable in terms of ground feel (as opposed to a running shoe with a softer outsole). Thankyou.

@@martinkingston1498 Hi! I don't think the grip is so sticky that it slows you down, but I don't have a lot to compare to. I have walked fast on tarmac with these shoes many times, and that was no problem. The lugs are not noticable at all, I would say. The outsole is comfortably soft, but on the other hand, not really soft. Stable and dampened, and somewhat soft. Not at all hard. But I use custom insoles, and the insoles are quite hard, so that probably change how they feel.
If you live a place with snow, you should know that they are super dangerous on snow (and probably ice, I have not dared to try). It feels like they are okey, and very suddenly you have no grip at all on both feet and bang you fall big time. That happened once with Trabuco Max, and once with Gel-Trabuco. So, not at all suitable for winter, if it is snow where you live.
Trabuco Max is good for tarmac walking, but super great for gravel roads. And great for fast walking. They have a shape that will speed you up, sort of. You will feel it when you get them on.
I use them as everyday shoes, and walking shoes. Actually, I have used mine since I got them, and no other shoes. That is how much I like them. Wonderful for walking on the hard floors of shopping centers, for example.
We all have different feet, so what is great for one person might not be the best for another. But still, these are wonderful, so buy them immediately! 🙂

tried this and the trabuco11, settled for the trab 11's, they are the best! better than hoka sppedgoat and saucony peregrine. these Trabucos are severely underrated.

Can you tell me why you chose 11?

    • @eianlim7134
      @eianlim7134 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

1st the lugs are a beast, compare them to the hokas and saucony, they just grip all kinds of surfaces ascents and descents. 2nd fit is excellent for wide flat feet. And lastly, the ffblast are bouncy and stable.

@@eianlim7134Would you say the normal Trabuco are actually wider than the Max version? Any feedback appreciated.

Nice shoe to have in the rotation, depending on training for that day…And must agree for those long days great shoe for underfoot protection and day after recovery “ less foot fatigue “ compared to other shoes. The pull tab on the back is for gaiters to attach to, with the clip “little ring” in front to help secure it. Thanks for the review as always….have a great week

Thanks for the info! Now I know :)
Yes I love using shoes that protect my underfoot with lots of cushioning. Especially on long runs. Anything that helps to stay injury free.

The hook and loop on the back of the shoe is to attach a gaitor and you attach it to the metal hook at the bottom of the laces
