I don't agree with the dislike at all, but my guess is that the dislikes come from people who are struggling more financially. All these things - from the nice jars, containers, pretty wooden accents etc - can add up quite a bit in price. Not to mention that he's starting from an already very pretty space. From that perspective, it can seem rather frustrating to someone on a low budget, or unable to find/ afford a nice apartment that they can't really emulate anything like this. It's not Reynard's fault at all, and he works with what he has, but I can also understand how some less privileged people would feel alienated by what might seem like such a "rich people problem/ solution."
if you have that much time and money to customize an already amazing space, it almost seems like fake content for youtube as opposed to someone genuinely living there sharing something.
Great video. I love how you incorporated the open shelving and tamed the chords from your appliances. The addition of plants and wooden elements added a warmth to the space. I cannot wait to see what’s next!
What a warm and inviting look to add wood grain contact paper to the open shelving. I love it’s convenience when needing to get to frequently used items on the go! Reynard, you are clearly my favorite designer. Everything you do makes such sense without skimping on good looks and design. Thanks again for the content!
I thought your kitchen was already perfect !! I like the recycling bin and the cable caddy. Always enjoy your soothing voice !! Keep it up and thank you
The vinyl hack really does make a difference. I wish we had a dedicated place for a microwave like your kitchen does, it would save us a lot of counter space. Love the recycling bin too!
Thank You! Yeah a built-in is definitely most ideal, but you can always utilize the top, or something like a microwave shelf stand. Recycling bin has been one of the best purchase!
5:22 - rinse glass and cans before recycling, especially to remove food, loads are lost at the recycling centres as it’s too hard to open everything up and get to rotten food.
Love how you thoughtfully ponder your spaces and bring new life to your apartment. You have a keen eye for design and organization, and your quiet demeanor complements the video. Thank you Reynard. I am always looking forward to your next video!
4:29 "cable mess" -> literally 2 cables not even touching each other. me: *looks at my cable mess that looks like ungroomed, overgrown and tangled pubic hair in the kitchen where my rice cooker, air fryer, coffee machine, extension cable, water cooker and mixer are*
Another great video. I'm not a renter, but even someone who owns their home can adopt these ideas so that it is easy to change if/when you're ready. Off to have a look at your website!
Your English is impeccable. That said may I offer that the pronunciation of vinyl is a long I sound so it’s something like in the word eye - vi nyl. Does that help? And oh my, I prefer a cottage style home but I could move into this beautiful space and be completely at home, despite it not being to my specific style or taste. Having been a professional organizer some years ago, I love the one-motion tricks that you employ in most every instance. Very smooth!
I'm glad I've bumped into this video. New subscriber here from UK. I'm inspired on how tidy and clean your apartment is. I love the design and colours ❤
Love your videos. Polished. Helps keep me motivated when I watch your videos. I am going to make a little suggestion, not a criticism. Your recycling bin: wash any of your dirty recycling ie the pasta bottle before putting it in the bin so it can be successfully recycled at the other end of waste management. Again, just a suggestion. I hope that is okay.
@@reynardlowell no problem. Oh and take the lid off so it’s easier to separate the materials at the recycling centre. I hope this was somewhat helpful. I’m no expert but on my road to eco minimalism, I strive to learn more about my impact on the environment. Thank you for taking my comment as the helpful tip that I was trying to share. Have an awesome day 😊
Hi! Awesome video, what's it's the website or app that you use in the minute 1:00 (The part that you save all the pictures from Pinterest and out in the white paper) thanks!!
Great video as always, I really enjoy watching your content. It is clear that you invest a lot of time and effort into them, so thank you for that! I was wondering: In some of your videos I saw that you also have an air purifier. Which one do you have and what is your opinion about it? Thanks!
Great idea on the vinyl for the cupboards. Curious though, would you be able to remove that at a later time? Or will you just be left with sticky residue. I was thinking to wrap my doors instead.
Thanks! The surface I stick it on has a matte finish with slight texture, so it doesn't leave any residue. Not sure if it'll be suitable on smooth glossy finish in the long term.
Love the labels on the sauces and spices in the kitchen, they look very clean. Is this a labelmaker, service, or other process at work? Edit -- found it in your "Kitchen Organizer Guide" video linked in the description. Having a digital template and printing onto sticky vinyl paper sounds very doable (aside from the initial time investment up front, but I suspect it is worth it). Thank you for including so much detail!
I just started labeling some.jars with label-stickers we got from the store. It's so hard to put them on straight, lol. Mine are all a little crooked, and it makes me daydream of how beautifully he sticks them on
If you r making all these changes in rental home , wont the owner of house would come inside the house on some day just to monitor how you maintain the house?
Really enjoy your videos. Just have to say the kitchen looks a bit cluttered. Put the knives away it’s not good feng shui on the bench and they’re reflected so double the appearance. Not being critical, just trying to help.
Yes.. I also thought it was already perfect from before.. ..but it's again a fresh of breath air and very well updated
Who dislikes such a wholesome video like this?
Yeah, what’s wrong with people? It’s not my style, but it’s an excellent project!!

@@1bwash He wanted to change things up a bit in a budget friendly way, seems genuine enough. Everybody has time, it's a matter of priority.
After seeing the quality of this video and the information I get, I'll say this channel is criminally underated.damn

Glue the paper towel holder bottom to a round black marble trivet. The weight of it will make it more stable.

1st comment, since I watched a random video of yours, I’ve been a fan then. The torch is definitely I need to buy for my kitchen.
Mine too
lol what the hell is the point of a torch in a kitchen?

Another solid video my man! The pan organization is pretty clever. I always struggle with pots and pans.
Can you do video on what are the must tools need in a home to do repair works or remodeling like this ? What all should I buy as a beginner?

I'm just here to say I love your taste in music, especially that Driftaway song, it's one of my faves
Your videos gives me so MUCH peace i can't even describe it ☺

My thoughts exactly.Attention to detail is Reynard's fortè.
I love all your changes, the open shelves are a fantastic idea.
You did an amazing job with the Kmart wood vinyl paper 👏🏾👏🏾

respect for designing all the labels, too! Awesome kitchen.

Also, the wood vinyl: changing cabinets can be very expensive, so that's an easy way to make them look wooden/ new without actually swapping them out
So relaxing to watch you making the incredible but yet beautiful changes
Your videos are very relaxing. I’m a fan now 🙌🏽
Love how you organised everything

Beautiful as usual . U have an eye for beautiful 😍 things . Love u 💓
Excellent---as always
so inspired!!
About the open shelfs next to the rangehood, I think they would become oily due to the smoke from cooking.
I have mad respect for you. Always inspiring videos
Where did you get the kitchen stools from? They look great!
It's from Temple&Webster - bit.ly/3n3G8wm
I've linked them in the description as well.
Even more satisfying to watch this on my T.V 🖤

Great video with great ideas shared . Kitchen looks great 🙌🏻🌟👌🏻
At 2.03 , can we easily remove the vinyl adhesive after the use or when you r moving without leaving any stain of adhesive on the surface of cupboard?
Wow 😍😍😍

What kind of profession are you doing?
Do your roommates use your kitchen? Just wondered because you never mention anything belonging to them.
Roommates moved out a couple months ago, a few weeks before I changed the spare bedroom into a home office. Now it's just me and my partner.
hello sir, please wash the glass container before throwing it in the trash :(
Yeah another comment pointed that out as well. Wasn't aware of it before but will keep this in mind moving forward 😅
This the case when before better than after. My opinion only, no offense.
I’m sorry…but did my dude just say Kmart?
Yeah they're big here in Australia! Totally different company than the ones in the US tho.
