This is one of the three reviews that I keep on coming back, as we'll be receiving our unit in a few weeks. Thank you for this detailed and unbiased review. Can't wait to bring home our third Honda.
This design is simple, but to me, it's the best compared to its competitors in this category. Honda is famous for being durable, and they hold their value well.
Both honda hybrid and vx na test drive nyo na po kung kayo po papipiliin which di u prefer the rs hybrid or vx considering yung vx may AWD na yung hybrid fwd lng at sa poer at torque hndi ba cla ngkakalayo?
3rd row is basically useless. Engine is smaller than the older model, but they made it way more expensive. What is up with Honda and Toyota massively overpricing their vehicles?
I actually love the looks. simple classic lines that will stand the test of time, it’s perfect. though this is too pricey and cvt is a no go. kinda wish they went for the 2.0 turbo and provided a manual option.
@@kathleenroseang5492 ah so yun lng pala ang time n gagana yung rear whee kpg na detect n nawalan ng traction yyng front tires. Salamat po sa explanation.
i get it, but it's practically the same with older cr-vs, plus what's going to stop me getting the cheaper but better performing, Hyundai Tucson at 1.8m. I mean, yes it is awd, but it actually doesn't make sense with a weak engine and a CVT. ; or what's stopping me at getting Toyota RAV4, yes it is more expensive but its more efficient yet also better performing. This years CR-V is actually a downgrade.
As the mid-priced model, I don't know how well this will do in terms of sales. A lot of SUV buyers avoid the AWD to save cost and opt for a 4x2 variant. The top-of-the-line hybrid is someone for those that really want the best variant and can afford it. IMO for the PH or ASEAN market, they should've given the hybrid the AWD drivetrain as well and bump the price a bit by a 100k. Then remove the AWD variant and maintain the entry level 4x2 seven-seater.
@@ErnestMarvinEsteban you are correct. Most likely the top selling crv will be the most affordable (4x2 7-seater). But I have not seen any on the roads since the new model was launched (even the current HRV, I have not seen more than 10 units this year). Maybe in 2024 they would start releasing units for those who reserved one. But if these have been available since Oct this year,it may be an indication of buyers veering away from the CRV because of the obvious price bump.
I had a opportunity to test drive the 6th gen CRV particularly the Top of the Line Hybrid Variant. For me, paying 2 million php for this CRV is not worth it the ride and performance is almost similar to the 3rd, 4th, 5th gen (same engine) since the platform is almost the same. What makes it different from the mentioned previous generations is the hybrid and added safety technologies. If you are into hybrid and safety features like ADAS and Auto Braking I rather pay for the cheaper alternatives which is Toyota Yaris Cross and Nissan Kicks that I also experienced driving it; ride quality is almost the same with this CRV with a more affordable and worth it price.
@@agprd41 its comparable in terms of hybrid variants.....most of the buyers will buy the 2024 crv hybrid due to its hybrid features and its brand "Honda". In addition, I doubt that the third row seat will be used in this CRV. Majority of buyers who buy 3 row suvs rarely or never use the third row seat. My point is if I am looking for a hybrid car well I rather go to Nissan Kicks or Toyota Yaris. Like what I said, ride quality features of the Kicks and Yaris Cross is almost comparable to the 2024 CRV Hybrid.
@@arturoliriorapadas5490 my comment was very specific to those who find the Kicks comically small. You do realize the CR-V is immensely bigger this generation? The 3rd row is more habitable now.
I like the minimalist design of this gen compared to the last one, but if you're going for a 7 seater the Zenix might be a better overall car. Honda has precariously placed the CRV between the Hybrid Zenix and the Hybrid Rav 4 since they're almost the same size as the CRV and are also both unibody TNGA and you can get both of them as a hybrid especially with the Zenix, The hybrid CRV(Which is only a 5 seater) and even the turbo seems to be a hard sell comparing against the Rav-4 and the Zenix. They don't have the odessey or the pilot anymore to fill that place and it feels like honda is downsizing their lineup
@@paolosy1293 I don't doubt that the CRV is much more fun or much more refined than the Zenix but for purely for cargo and people hauling purposes it beats out the CRV. If honda made the 7 seater version of the CRV a long wheel base then it would be competitive. Think about it, the 2 litre hybrid Zenix cost approximately 1.9 million while this turbo CRV cost 2.3 million and you don't even get captains chair and a spacious third row and in the hybrid it's even much more of a hard sell because it's only a 5 seater version against the Zenix and it's also hard sell against the RAV 4 when the RAV 4 offers a more powerful hybrid system with the 2.5 liter engine and starts @ 2.1 million pesos compared to CRV RS hybrid which start at 2.6 million. The only thing this Honda has against them is AWD and the better honda sensing.
pag nalaos yung mga yan.. pangit na talaga cla. Pansin mo ang mga lumang honda, ok parin cla tingnan. Madali lang ma hype mga pinoy kung ano binibili ng kapit bahay.

If it was priced at exactly 2M, yes definitely for me on a budget.
Couldn't help but notice the resemblance in style and tone to Caco from Autodeal while watching this review.
Funny, but I actually dig the all-button shifter of the 5th gen. I got so used to it already that I don't want the stick anymore.
Nothing funny about that. Different drivers prefer different things.
The body is begging for bigger rims. Should have put 19s or 20s
19s would suffice
I think it's because they're thinking of comfort
I’ve seen them in person and I personally like how chunky those sidewalls look.
This is designed for comfort and versatility. A proper AWD. Not a performance SUV
Both honda hybrid and vx na test drive nyo na po kung kayo po papipiliin which di u prefer the rs hybrid or vx considering yung vx may AWD na yung hybrid fwd lng at sa poer at torque hndi ba cla ngkakalayo?
7 kmpl is already a good number for a 16kph travel. Other suv and diesel counterparts is just 4 to 6 kmpl ;)
3rd row is basically useless. Engine is smaller than the older model, but they made it way more expensive. What is up with Honda and Toyota massively overpricing their vehicles?

One of the best available car in the market
Got excited from the intro music alone 👏🏼
what about the fuel economy of the 4x2 base model. same lang ba with the awd?
You got me at 3 rows.
I see they included hood insulation whereas in the US the 1.5 turbos don’t get it-the hybrids do though.
Crv's performance is ok, but here in the Metro Manila were traffic really sucks...It will struggle same as other car brands...
Since this is Honda PH's "flagship" (no more Accord, Pilot, Legend, and Odyssey), sana they brought the 2.0L hybrid.
They do. That review is coming up next.
@@autoindustriya Noice. 👍
What about outside noise... is it quiet.?
The 1.5 L turbo direct injection has had oil dilution issues in the past. Has Honda fixed this?
There is no oil dilution in hot climates like the Philippines.
Does this have the bose speaker in it?
Honda should release a 5 seater. The 3rd row is useless and just add weight and take up space in the back.
May balita ba kung magkakaroon tayo ng refreshed/facelifted na 2025 hyundai tucson?

It does.
Do you like how the horns sound?
I dont. Sounds similar to the one used by the magpuputo 😂
Is the second row can be adjusted?
yes
Hello sir ibig sabihin po ba ng awd ay hndi mo ito pwedeng dis able parati nk on parati?

How much
Does it have a 360 camera?
None.
This version has the 360 camera, but reviewer had no specific detail/mention of the feature
It has 360. But only stays on for several seconds then turns off automatically
Why do i feel like the base model is the best buy then just upgrade the rims & tires to make it meatier.
Yes. Pero parang mas madami akong nakikita na RS variant nito. 🤔
@@streamingvideo6654Same observation. Since buyers in this price range aren’t price sensitive, they chose the better spec’d one.

Plain looking, boring.
Expensive and boring design. Japanese cars really need a design overhaul if they are to compete with Chinese and Korean cars.
