I wish I had discovered you videos on MPC One a few days ago, it would have saved me countless hours trying to find all this fundamental info, thank :)
CORRECTIONS: 1) Under the copying section at 10:25. A viewer pointed out that there is a "copy track" function in the track layer, which is correct. My bad. What I address in this section of the video would be the way to do it if you wanted to copy a track between sequences. Using that function in the track layer only enables you to copy within the same sequence. 2) Under the erasing notes without the eraser section at 09:21, a viewer pointed out that I needed to reselect the eraser tool after zooming to delete the note, which is true. That was my bad. Haha. BUT, the eraser tool still sucks and the shortcut I illustrate is still a good alternative method for erasing notes in my opinion.
Also, regarding the big knob, I like using it to adjust the start and end points of slices in chop mode while using page 4 on the q-links. if u highlight ur start or end point u can adjust it with the big knob while zooming in and out in the waveform with the 4th q-link. u can select the slices by hitting the corresponding pads. I think that's easier than using all the q-links for finner adjustment, especially when changing the big knob to a more mpc2000 one.
Nice! I really like how you can use the big knob for pretty much anything. I also use it to adjust in and/or out points. Will give your method a shot! Thanks for sharing! 🙌🏼
Great video and that loop trick will come in handy, it fixes the fact they don’t have step editing buttons on this machine. U just got a new subscriber here!
Thanks for the sub! Yeah, they're going to keep coming. I have many ideas and I'm making them as fast as I can. Haha. Hope you get one, it's a great machine!
Really helpful video! I'm just confused about 1 thing...when you talk about copying tracks, when you press the pencil tool there is a "copy track" function under Edit. Am I missing something, is this for something else?

In Oct 5 2024
.
I’ll look into doing a version for MPC 3 once it’s officially out and more or less finalised (it’s currently still in beta)…
You've just gain another subscriber. I hope you'll keep these vids coming because I'm thinking of buying an MPC ONE soon.

How are you finding it ? Struggle with mine !
Dude! I'd read it. Where do I even get the manual. It came with a quick start guide. Can I download it?
Yep, you can download it from the Akai site - www.akaipro.com/mpc-manuals
@@WatermarkHigh Thank you
NICE
Thank you!
I’d love to learn this from a person I’ve read the manual and still just need to use it more I guess. Get familiar with it with fl studio.
Yeah, it’s hard to get into a new workflow sometimes. Only way to get comfortable is to keep at it. Hope you’re having fun!
