- In today’s acrylic painting lesson we paint a landscape depicting a snow filled winter road filled with colorful reflections. This relaxing painting tutorial is completed for the most part in real time and will cover the step by step process of how to paint trees, reflections, leaves and of course how to make it all look realistic. Acrylic Paints:
Ultramarine Blue, Naples Yellow, Deep Violet, Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue, Cadmium Red Medium Hue, Mars Black, Titanium White
Brushes:
1” flat headed brush
1/3” flat headed brush (medium to soft)
1/3” round pointed brush (medium to soft)
A small round pointed brush or liner brush
Other Materials: 8X10 inch canvas, A small dish for water, Paper towel for excess paint

Winding! Really enjoyed this painting, love your tutorials, started painting during lockdown as something to do during my retirement when other things weren’t happening but have carried on, especially when the weather is bad and I can’t spend as long outdoors.

I spend the summer outdoors and have little time to sit and paint... this is the time of year I spend endless hours enjoying these types of tutorials to remind myself to continue learning and growing in my craft. I love the little details you share and the process it takes to get there and even encouraging us to keep at it even if it doesn't 'look' right yet. I made it all the way through this winding process, but must admit I also made several dozen muffins and supper.... but still watched all the way through. Keep at it and thank you for your teaching heart.

This might be a weird question, but how do you clean your palette so well?
I have dried paint stuck to mine for ages 😅
If it's made of plexi, like his, soak it in some warm, soapy water. Acrylics won't dissolve, but they will soften and be easy to peel off.
