- Hey there! Welcome to a relaxed acrylic landscape painting session where we paint a calm pond at sunset and it's reflections. This calming painting demo is completed for the most part in real time and will cover the steps of how to paint trees, foliage, water, a pond, reflections, grass, and of course how we put all of those elements together into a cohesive landscape painting.

Phthalo Green, Naples Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue, Cadmium Red, Phthalo Blue, Mars Black, Titanium White

Hey ryan, hoping u'll see this. I absolutely love the work you share and its honestly been so helpfull in developing my skills. Ive completed a few of your tutorials and i always leave them learning new skills. If you could, would you mind making a turorial video of a landscape with really big clouds? Some of your other ones are like that, but could you do one with a bright blue sky and big white clouds? I'v yet to find a detailed tutorial that explains how to paint them, and your demonstrations and explainations are unbeatable 😭😭. Please keep doing what your doing, uv been an amazing help ♥️♥️♥️

I don't know why, but this is one of my favorites! I think it was also the first time I felt inspired, rather than intimidated (which is NOT your fault - totally mine). I've been growing a lot in my own skills, so seeing this being walked through helped me believe in myself again after some serious artist's block!
Couple questions! Do you put a finishing clear coat on your paintings after? Would you do so if you were selling them? And what brand paints do you use? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see that they were mentioned in the beginning of the video besides the colors. I've been researching a lot of better quality paints and was curious which you recommend. Thank you so much!
