It will be lot helpful if you can share Post Production details in separate episode. Thank you. I got Hollyland recently, and the Internal Recording volume is so low, I am new to audio editing with FCPX and dont want to spend several minutes or hours with audio editing. My issue is background room noise which is still present after reducing mic gain to -3 or -4 and the internal recorded audio is so low. When I increase it in Post, that background noise follows. So if you have time, kindly share some Preset that is suitable for FCPX users to use with Hollyland Lark Max. It will be a great help. Thank you. 🙏🏻❤
My presets are set to my voice. Eq, compression, noise gate, and audio editing in general take a while to master. I’ll look into a video. You can use voice isolation for now in FCPX. Set the audio to dual mono before.
I picked the Hollyland Lark Max a week ago without knowing it was a new device, but having used Hollyland video transmission systems I had no worries. Even could use it as a dual video conference mics plugging the USBC and then grabbed the audio output for the actual camera.
Dear Sir, Greetings.Thank you for your video. Please guide me , regarding the use of Rode Wireless PRO, as wireless hands free mic for public address for mega church meetings etc. where preacher and interpreter stands together with their mobiles etc. 1) Rode Wireless PRO being GHz,will our mobiles,wi-fi interference with it's signals, so that the voice gets affected?( Not saying about feed back, but about interference from other signals ) 2) Can Rode Wireless PRO receiver be connected directly to the sound amplifier or is it possible only through a mixer ? PLEASE LET ME KNOW,IF IT IS FINE TO GO FOR IT FOR MY SPECIFIC USE ?
Hi, I don’t have the rode wireless pro so I’m not too familiar with it. The hollyland has great interference rejections. For your particular use, you may also want to consider a pro wireless setup by Sennheiser or Audio Technica. Hope this helps. Happy holidays.
I just got a set of these, I was using the much older Rode Link system. The latency of the Hollyland Lark Max is not as good. When you monitor the delay is enough to sound like a very slight echo. Not enough to mean you can’t monitor, but if you’re in a room for example, it will sound more echoey then it is. Of course it’s fine on play back. But the much older Rode Link mics have NO latency, there is simply no delay, it sounds like it’s hard wired. Has anyone else noticed a delay in the audio from the Hollylands?
Very nice review dude, you did a fair comparison between those 3 mics in a non-biased review. In my opinion, Rode is my favorite because I like that the voice isn't too much bass and has a decent amount of high frequency and that gives more of bright vocal. The DJI has the right amount of balance between low and high frequency that gives richer and lively sound. Then for the Hollyland personally I'm not a fan for the voice which is kind of bassy and lack of high frequency which gives less of soul to the voice (I think it's a weird metaphor 😅), but man, the noise cancellation is very very good on this mic.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked my review. I agree with you completely. The Rode has a great sound and is 85-90% ready without much processing. It’s all flavor. I love flat sounds that I can edit later so the Lark to me is 🔥. The dji does a good job of landing in the middle somewhere. I was surprised by the noise caNcelling and how great it was too. Love that we have 3 great options for wireless mics! It’s a good time to be a creator. Cheers!
As briefly mentioned in the video, Hollyland has 3 EQ settings for the microphones so you can select which one you prefere the most. It was not stated in the video which option was used during the tests.
The DJI mic is like the neat freak of the wireless mic world - everything in its place💪
Yes it is, great job DJI
Mic character and personality - I love that! This comparison was so thorough, and I'm leaning towards the DJI mic.
Haha yeah. It’s very true though. They have character. I would wait a bit. Rumors are that dji may be release the mic 2 soon

Finnally Hollyland mic is great feature and very good sound quality 👍
Fantastic video. Thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great to hear!
3:38 in, what do you mean by “worst free advertising for their logo?”
The logo is very large on the hollyland. So when you clip to to your shirt, it’s free advertising for the company. All 3 companies do it.
From what I heard the Hollyland seemed blown out and distorted, perhaps settings?
It’s a more “neutral” sound. I did notice that it adds some “boom” to my voice.
Very good informative and in depth review. 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
Super😊 thank you!
Thank you too!
Important to know that Hollyland's noise cancelling works with external lav mices too!
Yes it does!

What about hollyland m1 vs max?
I don’t have the m1 sorry

I haven’t monitored too much but thanks for providing that perspective. Wish I would have tested it
Very good review. I’m on my way to get the Hollyland after my DJI mic stopped working with phones
Thanks. Glad you liked it. Enjoy the hollyland.
I saw in Amazon some users getting minimun 30ms of latency, not good at all
wow, i'll have to test that out. Thats a lot.
