I think we are all ignoring the name of the series. It not sith lord or even apprentice, its acolyte, a term usually reserved for very low ranking people on the totem poll of power. My guess is we might run into more "sith" that in reality are the playthings of the true sith.
Sidious was training Maul we he was still the apprentice to Plagieus. It was Plagieus who gave his blessing as long as he used him as an assassin. I think that's what Qamir is. Just an assassin.
@johnhoran9840 and Tenebrous wasn't known for being nice to failures. Plagiues either. You're likely to become part of their experiments for something like this which is worse than death. However, to keep canon, none should survive the series
Amazing video!!! Star Wars lore is so rich and full of mysterious intrigue… If only Disney could adapt the lore into movies 🍿 as well as you have explained it here….😢
Darth Tenebrous also had another aprentice called Darth Venemous while still having Darth Plagus as an aprentice. So, he may have had other secret aprentices too.
Naah, it can't be Sol. I think it's either Mother Korel or Indara. I don't think Indara is actually dead, for couple reasons. First one being that she is played by the most well known actress in the whole series, there is no way they would hire someone of her caliber to play a character who dies in the opening scene. Second reason is, that now, after having seen Mae in action more, there is just no way she is skilled enough to be able to take out a Jedi master of Indara's level in a 1on1 fight. Mae has lost every single fight she has had in the whole series apart from the fight with Indara, she couldn't even touch Torben (who was Indara's padawan and thus less powerful), and Qimir had to straight up tell her how to kill him. She was totally outclassed by Sol, who I would imagine being at roughly same power level as Indara. She even got beaten by Jecki, who was just a padawan. Indara probably just faked her death to get out of the spotlight.
I have a question, if Qimir is being revealed then what is it that Tenebrus wants. This feels like a “look over here” move to distract from the true goal. In phantom menace all eyes were metaphorically on Naboo while palpatine was being elected to chancellor of the republic. I could be wrong though.
They have been extinct for millennia...BUT Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plagueis were in existence in the time of the Acolyte and they should have demonstrated their power somehow, otherwise, how were they were powerful?
Why is nobody talking about the idea that Qimir could be a highly trained rogue Sith Assassin akin to Darth Maul, and that he’s neither of the Rule Of Two Sith during this era.
Because most SW fans actively hate SW and just want to confirm their preconceived biasses that this series is lorebreaking and terrible and bla bla bla rather than give it a genuine chance.........
@samuelazzaro the reason no chance is given is because they did break the lore for one with the second instance of someone being born from the force. And two, it's bringing real life issues into a sci fi series that no one wants real life specific issues to be present in
@@Carnage7314 it didn't break lore. The nightsisters could use the force to revive people, create undead, and also superhumans. Plus the difference between the twins and Anakin is that Anakin was born from the will of the force, the twins were created directly from outside forces which are very different things. I don't view it has real life issues either lol, one gender clans like the Namekians and Amazonians exist. We can have a cult of female witches too. These things are only as deep as you make it
@@samuelazzaro besides the whole lore break controversy. Let’s say that it’s not lore breaking at all, it’s still poorly written, the dialogue is miles worse than even the prequels, and the actors are wooden besides maybe a couple. There’s so many moments in this show that don’t make sense. There’s almost no redeeming qualities and If no one knew what the budget was they would have never guessed it was 180 million. Well we have 3 episodes left so the money might show itself but that’s a serious cope.
It doesn't matter who is canonically alive because this show is totally ignoring canon because the show runner doesn't know canon. The sith master is probably going to be Leslye's wife, it would explain the dumb "we must hide this from the jedi council" nonsense, the whip scar on Qimir's back, and the whole convoluted "evil is good, jedi are the real bad guys nonsense they've been playing up.
One of the best recaps and story telling video summarys relevant to now!!! I agree I want this sith reveal to be tennebrous and set up time to tell the story of plagius. I hope we get to unpack all of this through the Acolyte and beyond.
I always thought it would have been cool if Tenebrous would have infected sidious when he killed Plageous and that's what made Sidious so strong. Being three Sith Lords in one.
in Bane's lineage, there were only 2 Sith, a Master and an Apprentice, who would eventually kill his master to then get an apprentice to continue the teaching and lineage of the Sith. However, Darth Tenebrous violated & broke the rule of 2 by getting a second and secret apprentice called Darth Venamis, while also having Darth Plagueis as his "main" apprentice. So i personally believe Qimir could be Venamis. But overall there should only be 2 sith in the galaxy, but the rule of 2 has been broken quite some times, with example Venamis...
My initial thought was this guy is a left over experiment from Darth Tenebrous. He pretends to be a Sith, but he's not and he was brainwashed by is previous master to forget everything tied with is previous Master. So he forgot his identity so he's just a loose canon.
Earnest apologies ahead of time forvthe rambling wall of text. Seeing Tenebrous in this show was my first, and greatest, hope when I first heard about it. I have weird, personal reasons why, but Darth Tenebrous is somehow one of my favorite Legends characters, and the fact that he is a smart, analytical, science-minded being, even in a verse where "magic" is real, makes him even better. I am going to say something dumb, so fair warning. Maybe this "Sith" is purely a pretender? If you do enough digging, Palpatine knew about "the Sith" well before he ever met Darth Plagueis; he found oddly forgotten about lore on his own planet, and then basically just sat down, and waited for a teacher to come and find him, so maybe Darth Teeth also found some info that had slipped through the cracks? To many, "the Sith" is as much a religious creed, as anything else, and while the Jedi might believe that THE PRACTITIONERS are extinct, the words they lived by are simply suppressed, but could be found by another. The other organizations within the Force; someone had to, one day, come up with a new idea, lived it, and then codified it. THEY didn't have a "teacher", and someone else who found a treatise, and tried to live by it, might think they are also a member, even if self-taught. Still, the Sith is more than a mindset. They aren't just "evil Jedi", and have their own mysteries, and ways, that set them apart from other DS Cultists, but maybe this schmuck still has delusions of grandeur, and really BELIEVES he is, though that doesn't mean it's any more true than Luke just saying "then I am a Jedi." Palpatine could have practiced the Sith Creed, and that wouldn't have been a crime, apparently, so that lore must still be at least kind of available, and we DO know that it's there, because Palpatine found some himself; no Ro2 Sith had swept it up, to hide it, or roving Jedi Sentinel, to suppress it. If that were the case, maybe someone like Darth Tenebrous, or Darth Plagueis, would just hang back, out of sight, and collect Intel? See how big this was, as they had been unaware of the source, and where it came from? See if it's convincing enough that the Jedi bought it, or if the "true" Sith core was really still hidden, and when the time is right, make something happen to this upstart. The Jedi might just see this tossing around of a trigger word "Sith" as wishful thinking, on the part of those who seek to not live under the Jedi's limits, but the "real" Sith are still blessedly gone, if the Jedi even remember what those were, beyond words, after a thousand years of only reading accounts of them. That's just me, and I haven't watched this show, yet, so I am merely trying to use my own Star Wars nerd-power to talk out of my ass.😊 I'm not trying to defend it, as I've already mostly decided to skip it for other reasons, or wait till the whole season is watchable, and see if it redeems itself in the end. If you made it this far, thank you very much, but a question; why do the Jedi have a prophecy of the Chosen One, who will bring balance to the Force? In their minds, they won, a thousand years ago, and apart from individuals can make choices, they represent the majority of who can use the Force, so with the Sith gone, what did THEY expect a Chosen One to do, prior to the revelation that their ancient enemies had a modern iteration?
It would be nice to see Plagueis and Tenebrous on screen, but we all know Disney will _NEVER_ get them right. I’m fully expecting them to either turn Plagueis into a woman or just skip him entirely and use someone else, just as a “fuck you” to Palpatine and Revenge of the Sith. Remember, the people writing and directing this show, even the actors, know _nothing_ about Star Wars, they don’t know the lore, they don’t know the canon, and Faloni is just making things up as he goes and inserting his own retcons. He got what he wanted, a shot at doing Live Action, and it failed horribly, and proved that he should stick to doing animation only.
Tenebrous has been one of my favorite Sith since I first read of his legends appearances. A being consumed by science, who became a prisoner of his own hubris, how could I not?
At this stage Plagueis would have been like thirteen. I'm not positive at what age he became the apprentice. So is it possible Tenebrous had an apprentice before Plagueis? Yes it is possible BUT revealing oneself to be a Sith would have also gotten Qimir killed as the Sith wanted to remain hidden. A bit of a twist would be having Qimir killing all those that know of him then Tenebrous showing up at the very end onty to eliminate Qimir for daring speak the word Sith.
The Acolyte opening crawl says it takes place "a hundred years before the RISE of the Empire," and the rise of the Empire is marked by Order 66 which places the show at 119 BBY, not 132 BBY. Nothing in The Phantom Menace marks the rise of the Empire.
The Sith are NOT extinct! Whether it's movies, tv, comics or novels. The Sith nor the Jedi ever completely die out. And like the Jedi, there is far more than just two! The rule of two is the equivalent to Jedi Master and Padawan. A lot of them just keep to themselves.
That species made for great musicians. It takes great mind to interpret maths into musical notes. Nothing easy about it. Food for thought. Myself i think the human voice is the greatest musical instrument
If you hear the music in the last scene of the 5th episode of The Acolyte, then you can expect, that the person is, maybe, the first of the Knights of Ren.
Great distillation, Good Sir. I do like the machinations of Darth Tenebrous. My hope is that his scientific/alchemist practices to create a Force Plague, draw some kind of inspiration from both the existences of The Nameless and The Drengir. As much as I dislike The Acolyte, and discount its inclusion in SW canon, I'm still hoping to see Lord Tenebrous appear in this miniseries. And, yes, my hope is that Qimir is Venamis. May The Force Be With You, Brother. P.S. Yes, I'd LOVE to see Ruges Nome appear in live-action and Animation.
Re-watching this. I just realized that like gorge Lucas's plan to make the prequels rhyme with the Original trilogy, The Story of tenapris is like a Scail between Palpatine and Plagus. Tenabris did belive the force was something one can understand with logic and science, but he also didn't discount or completely ignore any details that didn't match his beliefs in the Force. Plagus on the other hand did and had the mindset to disprove all things Force related and instead worked on the lesser known Midoclorians, which is an individuals ability to control the force. As for Palpatine, he went all the way to the other end for Plagus, belivening and diving deep into the preaching of the Dark side, completely looking down on Plagues obsession with the midiclorions. Ironically though, like how Tenapris believed in more about science over the force, Palpatine did the exact opposite. Both of which preferred there understanding, but was willing to at least listen and consider a point from the other side of the table, if it helped further there goals in the end. Honestly, if ya like this speculation Into the 3 sith masters who were back to back masters within a 100 years. I'd love to see your thoughts on this (or maybe a future speculation theory/lore dive into this by The Stupendous Wave)😁👍

Excellent video as always. Really well done. I enjoy all of your videos, but this one was much needed considering what is going on right now in the acolyte. Thanks for all that you do!
Great video! Thought i personally believe Qimir is Darth Venamis. Who was Darth Tenebrous's second & secret apprentice while having Darth Plagueis as his "main" apprentice, violating the Rule of Two.
Could be him? But idk, i got low expectations with how the show has been so far, but guess we'll have to wait and see. I just hope they dosen't throw away the tenebrous & plagueis story...
The rule of two is BS. Theres almost always a Master and apprentice AND the apprentice secret apprentice.
“It is most unfortunate that you are attempting to deceive me.” “Master?” “YOU HAVE BECOME A RIVAL!”
Sort of. There is always a Master and Apprentice...but the Apprentice is always on the look out for an 'Acolyte'.
Together they defeat the old Master and the process begins anew as the Acolyte becomes rhe Apprenrice and soon starts looking for their own Acolyte.
Don't forget that the master keeps a bunch of secret back up apprentices
That’s why the rule of 2 bane made was stupid

I think we are all ignoring the name of the series. It not sith lord or even apprentice, its acolyte, a term usually reserved for very low ranking people on the totem poll of power. My guess is we might run into more "sith" that in reality are the playthings of the true sith.

Believe Sol is the other sith
Wrong, but very Interesting. W Conspiracy.
@@Klaital1 Ey that makes totally sense. Indara being the master is a big possibility

This is before Plagueis was born. Tenebrous likely had MANY apprentices and acolytes over the years.
Well we have 3 episodes left so the money might show itself but that’s a serious cope.

it was so sad seeing lagues pulled into this garbage.
I wouldn't be surprised if Qimir isn't even the apprentice, but the Acolyte.
Two there are, a master and an apprentice.
If Darth Tenebrous is involved, that wouldn't be too bad. He also did not follow the rule of 2.

I agree I want this sith reveal to be tennebrous and set up time to tell the story of plagius.
I hope we get to unpack all of this through the Acolyte and beyond.
I wonder if Tenebrous is using Qimir like how Sidious used Maul.
One season is not enough to be canon
my guy invented big brain
I always thought it would have been cool if Tenebrous would have infected sidious when he killed Plageous and that's what made Sidious so strong. Being three Sith Lords in one.
He could be an unknown sith that is far removed from Darth plagues master. I highly think that there are more than just two sith at any given time.
in Bane's lineage, there were only 2 Sith, a Master and an Apprentice, who would eventually kill his master to then get an apprentice to continue the teaching and lineage of the Sith.
@@adriannn1180 Venamis was a Bith, not human so cant be him. Unless Disney is just going to fuck over more lore
He is the actual Acolyte.
My initial thought was this guy is a left over experiment from Darth Tenebrous. He pretends to be a Sith, but he's not and he was brainwashed by is previous master to forget everything tied with is previous Master. So he forgot his identity so he's just a loose canon.
Well now we saw Darth Plagueis!
I think he told them he was sith because in his hubris he thought he would kill all the jedi and it wouldn't matter.
Disney could easily fix the ki adi mundi plot hole by showing the sith erasing them from his memory.
Of course I'd want to see Darth Tenebrous on-screen!
Darth Ramage taught Tenebrous
The rule of two is really funny because no Sith Lord followed it.

I'm hoping that Qimir's master is tenebrous. Plagueis is still too young during the high republic.
Tenebrous has been one of my favorite Sith since I first read of his legends appearances. A being consumed by science, who became a prisoner of his own hubris, how could I not?
Tennebris is a lit master. We should get a series on hime
Tenebrous wanted to create a Jedi PLandemic. Lmfao. He was a badass!

How to make the Acolyte the best of Disney Star Wars: by doing this 😮
Re-watching this.
