It’s pretty crazy how much nacho changed over the course of this series, it’s because of him that Mike treated Jesse the way he did because Jesse reminded him of nacho and didn’t want the same fate for him
I can definitely see that being the case, Nacho is more gangster and Jesse is more innocent, but they both were cold hearted they were still human on the inside.
@@DanteorGioyeah but it’s almost sad because while it was the game he was in so many bad things happened to Jesse that by the time El Camino was out he was a completely different person. Just broken but still fighting.
I thought it looked like he was smiling at the director and crew, thinking they were going to cut, but then he was able to play it off by nodding to that guy who walked past them, going right back into character. Well played.
@ I know, im making the point that the filmmakers obviously were aware of and took steps to make the characters appear more youthful. Odenkirk lost weight and worked on his health whiched helped a lot in making him appear 10+ years younger in BCS.
I am regularly astounded by how amazing the framing in this show is. At 2:19 Nacho and Jimmy are separated by a wall corner. The lighting changes GREATLY on either side of the wall. Nacho has chosen his path but Jimmy is still on the straight and narrow. He is in the light. Then there is the clothing. Nacho's red highlights show that he has already been overcome with the criminal life. Meanwhile Jimmy is in white which casts him as still pure. He isn't on the wrong side of the law yet. He still just wants to help. Then they are both still covered head to toe in black. Most shows use black to mean corruption or darkness but BCS is using it to show that so much of these characters is yet to be filled in. Moving forward Nacho will wear more red to show his descent and Jimmy will adopt blue as he tries to be good. But in this scene, they can both still be anything.
@ I’m being a bit hyperbolic with my wording - what I mean is that every other character has some element to them that turns them into a total disaster fest, Mike included since he insists on constantly trying to walk the line between gangster and good-guy. This gets him into all kinds of trouble and represents a constant unsolvable conflict in his nature and decision making…
@@MJHdesproj suggesting that jimmy doesn't also have this same issue of trying to walk the line between two worldviews until about season 5 and doesn't still have the trauma coping mechanism all the way through breaking bad is pretty laughable tho.
Crazy how Jimmy went from someone who’d warn the Kettlemans to robbing people in the end like Nacho did, but arguably worse since it involved innocent people.
Pease could you upload the scene where Mike gets Lalo arrested by using his “Dave Clarke” persona and also going into the police station to get the evidence to the inspector.
this was such a phycological power play on jimmy. Nacho, clearly upset respects and knows order to what he does. I think just like the drug trade with mike and that pharmacist, there was an internal debate to judge whether or not jimmy knew what he did and with who he did the favor for. Not to mention jimmy is the neutral anti hero He help the Cattlemen's and Helped nacho at the same time the best way he could.
Jimmy should have had a good backup plan where in if he had to move away at 1 hour notice he wud dissappear with new name n numbers. He should have not gotten into criminal activities again after he had that taxi driver in control via 10 yr prison term blackmail if reported on the mall store robbery.
Jimmy standing his ground here is terrific. Also highlights how much more intimidating Lalo was.
Sad right, this is cus Nacho is much more of a human
Title: Nacho Warns Jimmy
Clip: Jimmy Schools Nacho
bro i literally said this to myself haha
It is insane how i was going to type literally the exact same thing after watching this clip

I wish Jimmy and Nacho had more scenes together like this. It’s crazy how little they interact with each other
Local man "Jimmy McGill" diagnosed with schizophrenia after being caught talking to a nacho from his bag of chips, saying that he was his "client".
Schizo- I AM NOT CRAZY!
@@annoyingbroccoli3939 I know he turned into a bag of chips, I just can't prove it!
Nacho should've asked Jimmy, "Do you know the definition of insanity?"
Jason
“It could be argued that all of life is one great coincidence”
1:33 supposed to be a blooper but they still kept it because it's more natural
I always thought about this while watching the show
Really? It just looked like Nacho sneering because he knows Jimmy is lying. I love how a blooper can be so in-character.
You can see bob laughing too
It fits Nacho’s character as well. Bravo Vince!

First two seasons Jimmy legit looked younger in BCS than BB
It was intentional for the timeline
its almost like BCS takes place before BB.
i think it’s the haircut
@@jpfootballs But it's filmed after, so it's quite surprising. The likes of Gus, Mike, Hector, Don Eladio etc. all look noticeably older.

The last true scene between Jimmy and Nacho.
The rest of the scenes involving them were more about Lalo and Jimmy, with Nacho just there.
Yeah. It could have had more in between. But they left him a bit too secondary, which is sad giving how important were his last days alive
"There will be consequences" four seasons later the most consequential character is thrust forth into Jimmy's life
Yup. The angel of consecuences
I love that Nacho then leaves Jimmy alone because he knows that Jimmy was right
Always love how ungrateful bastards get schooled by the ones who save them
Nacho and Jimmy were best characters in better call saul
Kim
Lalo
you expect me to believe he was the best character? HE ORCHESTRATED IT!
@@eimran1178 HE DEFECATED THROUGH A SUNROOF!
And I let him under my own roof
Hats off to jimmy for facing nacho here
And to think the next time they see each other is on Season 5.
You feel sympathy for Nacho later in the series, but you forget he is a mean MF.
Season 1 of BCS is incredibly underrated
I love it.
I thought the title said "Nacho wants Jimmy" and I was confused
Probible cause out the wazo is such a good line
love this scene so much glad its finally on the channel

Kim's scene with Lalo where he keeps saying "Tell me again" is a nice parallel to this one.
Jimmy is literally the only character with a completely functional brain
You have to admit that Mike is pretty damned crafty and intelligent, as well.

No criminal has a good hearth
Are you saying I would hurt a child?
Nacho knows. Who ELSE would have warned the Kettlemans?
Someone who didn't want the kids to be hurt.

Nacho probably backed down when Jimmy talked about ‘kids.’ He is one of the humane ones in the world of insanity like Jesse.
i dont remember this scene at all. need to rewatch the series for the 1st time
It's the the point of the clip but it's heavily implied here that Phil Leotardo did 20 years in the can
lol what is this title? Did you see the same clip we did?
Jimmy would not be intimidated!
damn i forgot how unchill nacho was in the beginning
Did someone actually warn the Kettlemans?
Yes, Jimmy did.
None if this strikes me as the least bit realistic.
