Puueds looks at people's profile pictures over the years and decides he needs to be more like his profile picture.
Hey everyone, this is a video on profile pictures in Geometry Dash! I didn't see anyone talk about this and so here we are. I was quite burnt out with making this video as compiling about a hundred and more photos and getting it right takes a lot longer than I thought. If you notice any incorrections or weird things happening in the video, lmk!
Back to what I was talking about, profile pictures are a staple in any online community and Geometry Dash is no different. But what is really interesting is that GD has a really strong and recognisable identity + with the amount of simplistic and easy to use assets RobTop made, anyone can try to make their own profile picture if they want to brandish Geometry Dash as part of their persona. It's gotten to the point where you could show a GD PFP to any rando on the street if they have an inkling of rhythm games or were mentally conscious during 2013 - 2016 and they would instantly recognise it. I don't think I dove into the subject that much because there's too much to talk about, so use this video as a starter to observe what other PFPs people are wearing!

Great video! Love this interesting deep dive about a niche topic! Some notes that I thought of:
- I believe the profile picture of DavJT is the one that he just made in 2.2. He used a different icon in 2.1 and used a profile that went along with it like his current one.
- Knots’s profile picture stands out so much to me because it is art of one of his original characters, Promise.
- SirHadoken’s current and former profile picture make me wonder if the owl is his spirit animal, if that’s how he sees himself, or if it is for another reason. I’d love to see why he chose it!

Great video, Puueds! I always thought profile pictures were simply just pictures but this genuinely made me realize that they can sometimes be good at representing and telling us alot about everybody. This video even made me rethink my one, haha. I've stuck with a character profile picture ever since I made my account, but I'm also a super big fan of logo profiles like Alkali and art profile pictures like Subwoofer and XenderGame. Awesome to see so much diversity in this community :)

Back when I was really into GD (2016-2019), I had a logo which I made in GD for my pfp. I never changed it until after I moved on from GD in 2020.

I tried to make an Icon/Ship/GFX pfp a long time ago but I just never finished it and I started to not like the aesthetic as much over time so I just started using random things as my pfp until I started to create OCs ~5 years ago when I started writing a book. Now I just use this Midjourney lookalike of a spaceship I designed. lol
I plan to actually draw the ship eventually but I barely have the time to do it all. (School Moment)
