I feel that positive feedback and motivation is very instrumental for people in new roles. Most people really want to do a good job and a new position is often overwhelming.
1. Teach and Reinforce Core Values 2. Their Goals and Company Goals 3. Skills to operate in role 4. Set Expectations and Clear Goal 5. Hold People Accountable and Make Micro Corrections
Fantastic video, thank you very much. Unlike from many others that brag about their success while trying to sell you their service, here you have the template. What listener has to do is to pause the video at every step to write down the point. Love it. Huge thanks!
This is exactly what I needed! I have 3 new hires starting the same day and they will be our first employees! I would have loved a link to some of your general checklists. Thank you!
Fantastic video, I am about to create an on boarding process for a growing SaaS org, remote employees across the world and next to no structure or formal process embedded. The 6 steps, slack channel and my most valuable piece of feedback in recent years "slow down to go faster" all resonated and will be advising on how it lands. Thanks again from Leeds, UK
Great video thank you. I've been doing a lot of research as of late with respect to Onboarding. Developing a program now for my organization. Realizing that the checklist is important, however onboarding is that, plus so much more!! Exciting actually... Really enjoyed your video!
Thank you for this video, this can be applied also in building organization/clubs. I learned a lot about checklist. Guidelines are very important truly
1) your plugs at the end to make a comment immediately persuaded my to write this comment/question…good strategy! 2) great video; concise informative, not a regurgitation of other common ideas out there. 3) checklist that is set up like a timeline and has priorities built in…money! 4) involve the assistant; it’s like being in 2 places at once if you have a good one. Great tip! Question: I’m in a high performing government organization. We recruit top talent and grow our own leaders, but there’s an average turnover rate of about 5-10 years due to the structure of the organization (military). Besides making the onboarding process fast and efficient, do you have any advice about how to get the most out of their time with you, and how to let them leave in a way that is best for them and the company? Appreciate the video… thanks for persuading me to comment 😉
Incredible video, very thorough. I’m a CEO of a fast growing production company in the social media space, interviewing people daily and seeking the best on-boarding methods. This was helpful and clearly put together.
***SUPER*** HELPFUL vid, got SO MUCH value from this! Can't thankyou enough for the content you post on your channel Chandler, you're such a Boss! Love you bro xD
Hi Chandler- thanks so much. I'm in a school district and we need to do a better job onboarding teachers, administrators and support staff. This video was amazing - you've given me a roadmap and so many wonderful ideas. I love your enthusiasm too- Curt
I am a 20 year old HR generalist looking to start from the bottom up on a on boarding process. Is there any advice you would give to lead me in the right direction? Thanks. Great video!
Why are people in HR so annoying? Giving too much workload + information in the first month just to know the worker's limits is a quite instrumental view of a worker.
It's not about seeing their limits so that you can use them as an instrument, it's about knowing their limits so that you can help them be the best they can be without pushing them too far. If an employer is not helping their teams be the best they can be, it's a lose-lose. The opposite is a win-win. I would want the latter.
I don't agree with the 'Hold People Accountable" part of making adjustments. Everyone remember that this singular person isn't the only person on youtube talking about this. Do more research elsewhere as I don't think all of this information is best practice.
Do you like your current onboarding process at your company? If not, try out this process and let me know how it goes?

Start with core values, present the tasks and goals, stress over communication, set expectations and hold people accountable, constantly give feedback

What tool was that you were showing with the checklist? Was that ClickUp?
Asana
Hello. I see you’re using Asana. Do you have any other suggestions for OnBoarding software??
Can you share your ASANA Onboarding Checklist?
Wonder if you can share your sample onboard checklist.
What program do you use for your checklist?
Hey Chandler, for how many days/weeks would you recommend the daily townhall to continue for new employees?
1-2 weeks, or until they're complete with all of their onboarding
I am a 20 year old HR generalist looking to start from the bottom up on a on boarding process. Is there any advice you would give to lead me in the right direction? Thanks. Great video!
how can we know a new employee have non-conformist goals? what can we do after 2 week?
I need your help! Are you available for a consult?
OnBoarding Checklist, Advanced Employee Onboarding Tips…
Do you give out your checklist at all or should we make one ourselves for our company?
But what if the status won’t change for you to onboard?
Huh?
