      Do you know what protein is? Because a proper vegan diet does not lack protein in ANY capacity.
      Beans, legumes, lentils, tofu and mock meats all have tones of protein. In fact, many of those options have more protein per gram than meat has. Vegan diets can quite easily consume more protein than non-vegan diets.
      You literally just have no idea what protein is if you think you need meat to get it.

      It's not that we don't know. It's just that meat taste better. That is all.
      I for one certainly do not care about things like carbon impact and all that garbage. I enjoy meat, I eat meat.

      @handsomeni There are many mock meats that taste indistinguishable from natural meat these days, so these arguments are insolent at best. If you don't give a shit about the world you live in or your own health, I couldn't care less. But the nutritional facts still stand.

      @johnstamos5948 Did you miss the part where I said many of those vegan alternatives have more protein per gram?
      Mock meats have more protein per gram than real meat. Mature soy beans have more protein per gram than any red meat.
      Foods such as quinoa, chia seeds, seiten, sprouted brown rice, buckwheat, pumpkin seeds, and seaweed are all complete proteins equivalent to any meat in their protein contents.
      All of these options are better for your health. They reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol. They have increased fibre and carbohydrates, vitamins C, D, and iron. And fewer calories.
      Furthermore, the homosapian species isn't even built to consume meat in any capacity. We are frugivorian. Google frugivorian teeth, and compare them to omnivores teeth. Then, google a herbivores digestive tract and compare it to omnivores.
      We have frugivorian teeth and a herbivorous digestive tract. Our bodies are not built to consume meat, especially not long term. If we were still living in the wild, we would only ever consume meat out of desperation. It was only because of a recent Ice Age that we started hunting.
      Our bodies (unlike carnivorous and omnivorous animals) have no ability to kill and eat animals raw. Which is the defining feature of an animal that is meant to consume meat.
