Prado 150 Fixing the Squeak

I finally couldn’t take the annoying squeak of the Prado 150 anymore! So after seeing Anthony the Prado guru from “Fourby4Diesel” put out a video on how to fix it, ( • FIX THE ANNOYING SQUEA... )
I had to give it a crack! I’m by no means a mechanic and had to do it on my garage floor but the job was easy enough and took around 20 mins by myself.

Gold. The noise has been driving us mad. It is intermittent but happens especially when the car has been running for a while. Off to Toyota tomorrow..

That’d be it! Ours was intermittent with the air con coming on and off but a simple fix

I just fixed two squeaks on my 2012 hilux, one like yours was the exhaust flange gasket the other squeak was around 15 to 50 kph which was the transfer front output shaft seal. hopefully that helps someone at some stage

THANKYOU so much I'm ordering that gasket right now! Just replaced all rubber mounts but didnt do anything, wish Id found this vid before !

Supercheap has a platinum one for about $20, I might get that and give it a go.

I went to repco and they gave me different looking gasket. EPG034? It doesn’t look like what you use?

Hey mate cheapest place to get it is Toyota dealership and the part number is 17451-74051

Yep was very hit and miss. Drowned it in WD40 and it was good for a week or so but didn’t last long
