This video’s primary purpose is to provide instructions to the folks who bought the bearings earlier this week, so i had to rush the two videos back to back..
nice video, thank you! another question.. if I fish in salt water, is it better to leave the plastic bushing or put a ball bearing? some say it's better to leave the plastic because it's less likely to clog than salt water. thx
Sahara should be ok in saltwater as long as you aren't wading where you can dunk it. I've been using Laguna lt 2000 for light game and even seabass for a couple of years, strangely enough it feels smoother than my stradic and stradic Ci4+ when used for a similar period in salt. Just wash after every trip.
Is this a Japanese only model Sahara? Or is this regular USA model Sahara I can get locally? I found out the Diawa Legalis you liked was a Japanese version. And had to be ordered from Japan. That’s why I’m asking. Thankyou sir!
U should buy it from japan. These fukkrs here in USA don't bring any of the good models. Shimano doesn't have an office in USA. That what people thing but its wrong. Its a dealer who has monopoly over the US market and they bring whatever they want. Shimano has no say in it.
I have put them on size 4000 but i am not sure about 5000. My guess is it will work but its just a guess. As for shipping, whatever the system calculates when u put your address. Assuming you live in United States. I don't ship these outside.
I bought this bearing with my last order and just tried removing screw. I must have a defective screw because no matter how hard i torque it, I can’t get it to budge. Any advice?
Is it an old reel? Be VERY careful not to strip the bolt! Make sure ur screwdriver fits perfect so u don't strip it. These things are not screwed with that much force. If it doesn't want to come out, something is wrong, and maybe just leave it. Put some oil, spin it to work it in, and leave it alone. If u strip that bold u screw the whole reel
@@ifishcatfish Shimano Sahara C2000S from Japan.. purchased from Amazon a month ago.. used a perfect fit screw driver that works very easily on the other screws on the reel. On this screw I torqued it until it started to strip. Is it possible that the screw is damaged on the inside or it has locktight? For now I just replaced the outer plastic bushing in the knob with the bearing since I don’t think I’ll be able to remove the line roller screw.
@@alexdobiasz5121 hard to say without seeing, but if u strip this screw u can lose the reel, as getting another rotor costs as much as getting a new reel
@@ifishcatfish the replacement I ordered is having the same issue.. every screw is easy to remove except the line roller screw. I wonder if Shimano saw this video and decided they didn’t want customers upgrading their reels so they put lock tight on the screw
@@ifishcatfish thanks! yeah, i stay away from ceramic bearings on any application. Spent a lot of money for a ceramic bearing for my bike and it wasnt as magical how i thought it would be.
I’m sure it is,never mind I just measure the one from the handle and got the bearings from Amazon .l’m based in UK and to get them shipped from US would be bad idea for me because that would cost me quite a lot of money just for 1 bearing, they came in the pack of 10 so I’ve got plenty now 😁,P.s anothergreat video👍🏻

Thankyou Mr.victor! I will have to retry this, your videos take my mind off a rough time, thankyou!

Awesome!! Thank you.
Thanks for helping anglers improve there gear, educate, filling tackle voids in the market. It is all much appreciated

Going to purchase for my nasci c2000s. Will the handle bearings on your website also fit my reel?
yess. Handle knob - all daiwa and shimano reels, all models.

Well, u have no business fishing saltwater with Sahara. This reel has absolutely no seals.

Hello I want to purchase these, and wanted to ask if they fit 5000 size reals and how much do you charge on shipping and other fees.

Do you by chance know If these will fit a okuma Avenger reel?
They will NOT
