- I spent about 3 days going through the Warrior Cats wiki to compile a bunch of statistics behind fictional cat names. This was definitely not a complete waste of time. Nope, totally not.

After noticing recently that Featherwhisker has a really long name, I've wondered what the longest names were so I decided to figure it out using the list of prefixes and suffixes:
There's a three-way tie for the longest name: Lightning Stripe, Squirrelwhisker, and Starlingfeather all have 15 letters.
For second place there are four: Bubbling Stream, Featherwhisker, Sparrowfeather, and Squirrelflight are 14 letters long.
There's a much bigger tie for the title of shortest name, with nine: Antfur, two Ashfurs, Logfur, Mudfur, Oakfur, Owlfur, and two characters named either One-eye or One Eye.
That's really interesting, I'm glad the spreadsheets were useful!

i didnt expect apple to be as high in the list of most common prefixes, since the cats dont even eat apples
Can someone explain to me how does this names work actually? Like is that true your prefix is according to appearance and suffix according to personality? For example, this white cat with brave, energetic, strong personality, should i name it like... SnowStorm? Like that?
I don't think it really matters that much, there have been cats like Sneezepelt for example, who don't follow that rule. So while I think that is usually how cats are named in the books, there's obviously plenty of exceptions.
I always wanted to make something like this myself but never had the patience lol. Cool video!!
