I use the S key as Nova when the enemy team is trying to chase me down but they lose sight of my silhouette for a couple seconds. Sometimes, stopping completely at just the right moment will stealth you perfectly for when the enemy team passes by.

I am a simple man. I see a Kyle video and I like it.
Talking about a moving, you need to setup the fact that your hero will aa the closest target of your "a" click instead of the closest target of your hero.
The only time I need to use "S" to stop is specifically 1v1 with you as the trancer vs genji and genji uses his deflect while you are out of blink charges with no other targets to auto. You can't walk away, because you walk and shoot with auto target (if you are already attacking genji), but if you hit S you can instantly stop shooting and save a lot of hp.

You should have custom quickcast settings for abilities instead of fully using one or the other. Something like Malfurion's regrowth should always be quickcast, but having his root be perfectly placed is vital to good followup. It's slower, sure, but there's no point in quickcasting something that's going to miss. These are bronze and silver, they need to be hitting their skills more accurately.
How have I been playing since Tec Alpha and had no idea about the middle mouse button. Or cursor size. Or those cursor lines. I’m amazed. Great tips!
a tip i learned is when you want to mount and leave asap you can press z and then shift click where you want to go and it will begin moving immediately after mounting. saves a split second often
You just made me realize in fights when people get out if pos and over extend its probably cause they forget computer keeps attack unless u tell them stop...... daaaam lol 😂

Stop and Hold Position are swapped here, it seems.
• Stop (S) means "don't move but shoot".
• Hold Position (H) means "don't move, also don't shoot".
Been like that since the Warcrafts.
OMG, I've been trying to figure out why right-click, (H), right-click (H) wasn't shooting anything!! THANK YOU.

IMO using the smart map mode (where clicks apply not to the minimap but to the terrain underneath it) is better. Until I started using it, there have been plenty of occasions during team fights when I accidentally clicked on the minimap and lost some kills etc.
they need a bunch of videos liek this in the game itself. idk why they never made more tutorials

The S command might come in pretty handy when playing as tracer against some hero/es that make it worse for you if you attack them. And since tracer can attack while moving, holding down right click and moving the mouse around won't stop the attack. The S key would work nice there.

i dont recommend quickcast on many abilities. but i like them on things like rexxars trait to control misha. and a for autoattack is on quickcast. the skill shots it much more difficult to aim properly with skillshots. you get a feel for leading people and some have a small window for error. its better to execute the ability with the mouse button for shots like cassias q and falstad gust and such.
About control? How fast should a mouse be like in-game and DPI. I know it's personal but I'd like some references :)

I don't use A or H for stutter-stepping. In fact, I am the asshole who does all of that shit manually. That's right, I click the enemy each time between moving. And yeah, it's a bit difficult, but my dexterity on my left hand is worse, so this came to me quite naturally.
That "S" button fucks me when I press accidentally i dont get the kill because that so is a good tip move that command away.
Since S is useless, would it make any sense to to re-hotkey hold to 'S'? Then you can twiddle back and forth btween A and S for 1 handed stutter stepping? or is that stupid?
for some reason H doesn’t make me attack like it did for you, it just makes me stop where I am
5 minutes in i think this happen in one of my games but i was still doing right thing. Diablo vs mei (kyles tips). I kept diving ktz, and medic and would just harass them non stop but we werent dominating. I think lunara kept going around attack. We still won all our fight sbut.... i realized i wasnt watching my back line just in case

Practice with on release and go to full QC after you're comfortable with the hero/muscle memory is solid.
@@snafuequals On release is the best, because it is like quick cast if you just tap it. Not sure and want to take aim a little longer? Just hold till you ready and Blammo. Best of both worlds. Having QC off sucks though. No one should click twice.
@@stefanroodt1981able fastest is best and that's ON. On release isn't far off of you're quick though.
Just get used to it and you'll be a better player.
Only spell that i don't have on quick cast is the hanzo scatter arrow
