My dad brought me up to old rock and I recently lost him to cancer back in 2020, I’m so thankful and blessed he shared his taste in music with me and it will forever live long!!
My dad introduced me to Poison at a very young age and I'm so thankful for that. He passed away a year and a half ago and it's sometimes hard to listen to these songs but I will always have memeories of how happy he was that I was enjoying myself at Bret Michaels concert he did at a little bar here in Michigan.
I loved the 80s music.I wish we had the same today.I don't believe we ever had a better decade of intense words and sounds. This is one that will always be a favorite along with too many others to count.I can't say that about todays'.Thank you so much !
Bonfires, tailgates, drag racing, fights at the end of the night, the constant smell of hairspray in the air … anyone else remember? I'm pushing 50, but it seems like yesterday.
I lived in a surfer town, Santa Cruz. No drag racing but bonfires, tailgates, drinking in the park singing along to these songs getting lit, and dreaming-talking about getting out. I'm in the same age group. Seems so long ago yet also like yesterday. We don't have songs like this on the radio anymore. .....Ok, I gotta ask what EVERYONE is thinking, wondering and wants to ask. The big elephant in the room: .....Is Brett Michaels wearing a wig? Is he bald under that eternal headband and doo?
I am 14. This music is the best ever. Most of teens these days listen to pop, rap, or other genres. I am just glad I am , and others, are keeping this music alive.
Wow!!!! What a great song!!! Great, I have an earworm straight away. Good song!! I wish people would hear THIS song on the radio more often. Thank you for uploading!! I will never forget you baby!!!!
You guys make me feel old. I was born in '88 and grew up listening to this stuff. Rock music from 1969 to the early '90s was the only thing my dad would listen to. Love it to this day!
Makes you feel old?! I was 15 when you were born! Grew up watching these and other bands on MTV, back when they showed this stuff called music videos, not shows about drunken jerks in NJ
Its one of those songs that reminds you of a past girlfriend or some girl that's, you got own your mind. Bro's you know what I'm talking about. great song.
That's actually who the song was about. Bret Michaels recounted in the inner flap of Poison's greatest hits album in 1996 that it was the way all of the band members said goodbye to their women as they headed from the east coast to California.
it was new years eve 86-87, this was the first song they played after midnight .'nothing but a good time'' ended just before midnight. when this song ended i was in tears, David & i had just broken up. this, of course, was THE song for such a thing at that time, ~ David, i haven't and i won't forget you baby, all these years and kids and other exes later. we were something, weren't we? we knew we had an expiration date that neither of wanted. but when life rocks us one way,,, we roll the other.,,, hope your still rockin' a healthy happy life.
I'm a young fan of these guys! I'm currently 18 y.o in the year of 2017, I became instantly attached to this song when I first heard it 1 yr ago in March of 2016. Very excited to see them and Def Leppard in action on June 2nd, 2017.
I'm sorry for your loss, pets are so awesome and they become the tenderest part of who we are. The greatest teachers of love. May you be surrounded with much love and happiness...
I lost my teen sweetheart to cancer, from back in 87, she past away last year ,she was 48 , RIP my lost love, we used to listen together to poison songs, may GOD rest her Soul, I will miss her greatly, will always love her "I won't forget you baby"
21 years next week, every time I think I forgot her I catch her scent on the air or think I hear her laugh and instantly its that first time, with that true love and I just can't forget her.
Saw these guys Tues night in Cleveland. 30 years later and they are still awesome. Loved their shutout to the troops and a few cancer survivors in the house since I am one also. Wish they would have played this song but so very cool to relive the 80s now with so many other fans. You guys are great.
This is mine and Karen's song. We were sat in her car eating cheese and onion sandwiches in Aldis car park in Chelmsford before we set off for home after our first weekend together. At our wedding reception our first dance will be to this. Karen, I won't forget you baby....... Luv ya lots xoxox
It's 2018 and I have heard this song a thousand times and I never cease to amaze me how people could make music the way they did back then.. I look at the music scene now and I weep for this generation
"I look at the music scene now and I weep for this generation" I had to listen to comments like that in the 80's from people who were older than me. Don't be like those people.
I love the 80's and this song reminds me of my first love. She died in 1990, when I was overseas in the navy. I could not go to her funeral, but now, I live only a scant 130 miles away from her grave. I make it a point to visit her everytime I make a trip to Riverton, Wyoming. I won't forget you Becki.
I graduated from high school in 1989 and yes the 80s were the best years to have grown up in I don't remember another decade that measures up to it and today is 2022!!!
I wanna thank my mom for introducing me to Heavy Metal and Rock music because she was a teen from 1980s My grandma was a disco girl 🪩💃🏼🕺🏻and my grandpa was a rock guy 🎸🎤🥁
And i can tell you that's bullshit If you never try it,you won't miss it Just like how thirty years ago people didn't need a phone with them at all times and now they can't live without one for five minutes That's an analogy by the way I'm not comparing a meaningless abstract concept to a meaningless but very expensive piece of plastic Well,i am,but just a little

Me too.

The pain is real
I'm 43 also and was my music I saw poison and Cinderella with my best friend that took his life a week later
This is one powerful ballad by Poison which I have always liked!! It would be nice to go back to 1987!
I agree... I never realized how much I'd miss it... Hurts to see gone..
You guys make me feel old. I was born in '88 and grew up listening to this stuff. Rock music from 1969 to the early '90s was the only thing my dad would listen to. Love it to this day!

Everytime i hear this song i think about my ex.... great times in the 80's
Some even 10 years later. Sounds dumb I know but you can't help but think what could've been cause you connected on such a deep deep level my friend
Always brings tears to my eyes. So many people have come and gone.
Fuck yeah bro

Kinda wish I grew up in the 80s. By the time I was born GNR was on the rise.
C.c. DeVille was a underrated guitarist/musician who was one if not the best harmonic playing Wildman of the late 80s/90s
it was new years eve 86-87, this was the first song they played after midnight .'nothing but a good time'' ended just before midnight. when this song ended i was in tears, David & i had just broken up. this, of course, was THE song for such a thing at that time, ~ David, i haven't and i won't forget you baby, all these years and kids and other exes later. we were something, weren't we? we knew we had an expiration date that neither of wanted. but when life rocks us one way,,, we roll the other.,,, hope your still rockin' a healthy happy life.

I'm a young fan of these guys! I'm currently 18 y.o in the year of 2017, I became instantly attached to this song when I first heard it 1 yr ago in March of 2016. Very excited to see them and Def Leppard in action on June 2nd, 2017.
I was 17, young & fit when this song was huge. I'd give anything to do it all over again.
How old are you now?
+MURICA! 44
Gordon Gibbons aw man. I'm 15, living it up!
MURICA! Great age, enjoy it. 15 becomes 44 faster than you can believe.
I'm 19 going to 20 soon and your comment gives me chills. It's so crazy how time flies and songs like these make you reminisce
my cat just passed away. i dedicate this song and many other monster ballads to her. she was almost 18 years old and now she's in a better place.
I'm sorry for your loss, pets are so awesome and they become the tenderest part of who we are. The greatest teachers of love. May you be surrounded with much love and happiness...
I lost my teen sweetheart to cancer, from back in 87, she past away last year ,she was 48 , RIP my lost love, we used to listen together to poison songs, may GOD rest her Soul, I will miss her greatly, will always love her

Saw these guys Tues night in Cleveland. 30 years later and they are still awesome. Loved their shutout to the troops and a few cancer survivors in the house since I am one also. Wish they would have played this song but so very cool to relive the 80s now with so many other fans. You guys are great.
Damn memories miss those 80s so much.....BEST DECADE EVER 80s
One of my favorite songs. Brings back so many memories from my first love which was so long ago, but still memories are so fresh.

Yep, Fall of '87. Great memories for me.

Man oh man I try to find this stuff on the radio.......nope. OH well, at least I lived it and loved it!!!
I'm sure, that we can all hold this close to her heart.👰👰👰👰
i love this song!!!
Back in the days 💯🤷♀️
Remember getting cassette when I was in 5th grade wore it out. Always thought this song was one their best
"It's better to be lost and loved than never to have been loved at all." I can tell you that is true..
And i can tell you that's bullshit
If you never try it,you won't miss it
Just like how thirty years ago people didn't need a phone with them at all times and now they can't live without one for five minutes
That's an analogy by the way
I'm not comparing a meaningless abstract concept to a meaningless but very expensive piece of plastic
Well,i am,but just a little
Sometimes not knowing a pain is better than knowing it.
I love the guitar solo in this song!!!!!
I miss this time
I wasn’t even born when this song was released but it has helped me through tough times
NEVER... FORGET YOU - NEVER !!!
Classic Rock N roll 🔥
Not OLD, just refined!!
Depends on what you consider "classic rock". As a Zep, Yes, Floyd, Rush, Styx etc. fan I consider this more "period/memories rock".
I agree there's that past love she is on my mind today tomorrow and on and on I won't forget u this song hits from the heart
