In the SERIES Joe killed her and pinned it on the therapist who went to PRISON. She is dead. She does not come back in the second or third book. Joe meets someone new, several new women actually. The only way she can come back is in flashbacks/memories. They don’t throw you in prison without a body.

For me she has an expression in her eyes that is serene, gentle, sweet and beautiful. If what someone ever said is true, that "The eyes are the reflection of the soul." Well, she deserves an Earthly Paradise. And as for her energetic and loud laugh, she reminds me of the ringing of bells and also this that Neruda wrote: "The copper waterfall of your laughter, will not quench the thirst of my flocks"
She's so beautiful and genuinely charismatic. I'd love to see her in some other stuff, she's really what gave You its center. It doesn't have the same sense of drama without her I don't think. She was the perfect counter-balance to Joe. Her humanity, vulnerability and believability kept the show grounded in spite of the wild stuff that went on in it.

I thought she played the role so perfectly. She reminded me of ex girlfriends from college, and friends of mine that live in NYC to the "T". Perfectly captures the general/average NYC 20-something woman from this era.
