    This stuff is unbelievable. It totally cleared my Z3 rear window which was in way worse condition than this. I am in awe how well it did it.
    So, I decided to try it on my paint job that was beginning to haze it's clear coat.
    Damn, it totally restored it to showroom condition. And I was getting ready to get a new paint job, now I don't have to. So I'm in full thanks to whoever made this amazing stuff.
    So worth it's high price!

    I'm amazed at this product. Just did the window of my 06 Jeep Wrangler. It looks like a brand new GLASS rear window. And it was in waaayyy worse shape than this Beamer to start with. I'm sold. And well more than enough to do this probably 8 or 10 times more. I truly am blown away. Gotta love it when a product performs (or even outperforms! ) as advertised!

    Took a chance on this product and hoooooly craaaap what a difference! I'd tried a couple of times before to restore my rear window on my 98 Z3 and had only gotten worse, to the point of unusable. This is money well spent!
    Oh yeah it worked on my headlights which were all yellowed too. :)

    Thanks for the report on how well the Acrylic-Werks polish worked for you. A lot of people who have never tried it make all sorts of negative comments. (I just delete them) It's good to see a comment from someone who has actually used the product and knows that it performs as we say it does.

    Damn that is really impressive. Im gonna use this on my 99' 323ic BMW. The rear window is kind of foggy, tried everything but this stuff looks amazing

    Looks like a solid product! Note that the rear window zips out on the Z3 convertible, so you do NOT have to replace the top if the window is beyond repair. Thus the repair estimate quoted is way over the top. Replacements are available from several sources, but I will be trying this product first, since even replacing the zip in top is a process that involves several steps, with the possibility of breaking some expensive and difficult-to obtain clips.

    • @waynebradby
      @waynebradby  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The zipper must be a new feature (and much needed feature) with these cars. This one did not zip and we suspect the owner hand-stiched this back in because it was a little funky in the way it was attached. Let us know how the product worked for you!

    We recommend all of our applications in direct sunlight or when surface is warm. Unlike a wax, we are not glossing over the surface, we are removing oxidation from the surface. Easier to do under warm/hot conditions. The pores of the surface are more open, allowing product to deep clean & replace with a clear acrylic shell. When doing a window such as this, we also recommend having a 2nd party on the opposite side to apply pressure. (maybe holding a small poly board to yield a stable surface)

    Glad to hear it was only $85 for the window. I would say once or twice a year would be sufficient for preventative measures. Make sure you use it on both sides and you should prevent it from yellowing.

    @daddyoli 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Amazing !! gonna try this on me e30. But at 9:28 it looks and sounds like the thread that holds the binding and the window tearing free from the canvas. Be careful how much pressure you apply without supporting it from the other side.

    • @waynebradby
      @waynebradby  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree. This owner had hand-stitched the window back in and it was a poor job at best. Look closely at the stitching...it's not a professional install! Yes, you should take care of how much pressure you apply in this type of application. The best thing to do is to have another person on the opposite side with a small poly cutting board so that you can apply max pressure. What until we post the Alfa-Romeo pictures...blows this one away!

    Just use body compound - I did my Merc's rear window this morning and it came up a treat - like new! And it cost me nothing!

    • @waynebradby
      @waynebradby  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Body compound with abrasives? (most compounds have abrasive properties) Not the choice we would make, but if it works for you, great! Glad you have a connection for free compound! ;)

  • @waynebradby
    @waynebradby  9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Teddy Fuss...the "yellow" residue on the acrylic window is typically oxidation and this product takes care of it quite well in most cases. I have to say most as there are all sorts of possible issues with these windows and we can't in good conscience say that it will work in every single situation. If the window is too far gone, there probably isn't a product on the market that can bring it back. We do offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. Check out another of our videos were a very old Alfa Romeo window is restored. Simply amazing and much more dramatic than this one!

      Well that’s good to know that you offer money back guarantee I just bought the product going to try it out hoping it works hoping my window isn’t too far gone that this will bring it back to life

    Where can I buy this in Europe ? Import tax from anything sent from outside EU costs more than the actual product.

    Can this be used to restore clarity on the rear window of a old aluminum truck shell?

  • @DavidWisniewski5748
    @DavidWisniewski5748 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh jeez...I just spent $85 on a new zip-in window too, because I couldn't see through mine anymore!
    How often should we use this just for preventative maintenance?

    You should never use a ring or watch when you`r detailing a car. Getting off the contamination is ok, but what about a long lasting sealing ?

  • @sfmermaid

    Can this product remove the yellow residue of mildew to an acrylic window? I wouldn't have to do this except that the business that replaced my whole convertible top did not follow my instructions and installed a top with a stitched-in window rather than a zippered-in window!

    does rubbing compound work like it does to buff headlights?

    • @waynebradby
      @waynebradby  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not a compound (so there will no micro-scratches from abrasives) but yes, unless the headlight is clear-coated, Acrylic-Werks will restore most cloudy headlamps to a much clearer condition.

    Well... didn't work for my car, 1992 Alfa Romeo convertible rear plastic window... did nothing... that said, a 31 year old car may just be too old, but gave it a try... Also tried on the rear brake lights lenses, it cleaned them up a little... I am sure this is a fine product and effective, but my car was just too far gone.

  • @waynebradby
    @waynebradby  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @jayman81424 No reason to think this will not work & certainly a lot cheaper than a window replacement. While every window condition is different, we have had (and our customers have confirmed) very good results using Acrylic-Werks Polish. Check the forum on our website (acrylicwerks) (.com) for some tips specifically related to the plastic windows on Z-3's, Miatas, and Jeeps. Also, this product can be used on almost every other area of the car! Check out other AW videos to see the results.

    Cleaning the rear window is the easy part. Who makes a guaranteed no cloud/yellow UV preservative product?

    • @waynebradby
      @waynebradby  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for late reply...we are not getting notifications on posting to our videos. No product I am aware of "guarantees" no yellowing...eventually, when exposed to sun and elements, all plastic is going to eventually cloud. This product does provide protection and we are confident in telling customers that it should stay clear for at least a year. If it does not, simply re-apply some product and it will be clearer again. It will not take nearly as long for any subsequent applications as the first time will remove most (if not all) of your oxidation.

    @OneEyedBanditFilms At this time you can get the polish from our website store @ acrylicwerks We are attempting to get into auto parts stores, but with the strangle hold that the major wax companies have in that area, it's proving difficult to do.
    Thanks for your interest.

    Check out our FaceBook page. Just posted some before/after pics that a client sent of a restored Alfa Romeo convertible that had been in storage for 12 years. They did a complete restoration but were stumped when it came to the rear window. They were looking at replacing the entire top, which would have been big $'s. Look at the pictures...even we were impressed! Actually the best restoration we have ever seen for this issue.
