On September 22, 2024, Tim, your infectious enthusiasm is exactly what this world needs. Whenever I revisit some of your videos, I receive a huge emotional and positive boost. Your creativity ignites a feeling of "I can do it too!" Please continue to spread the spirit you bring across social media. Your ideas, such as making a trip to the local Dollar Tree, are truly great. The bin markers with the clip you used for a bin can also be used for large notebooks. Thank you so very much for your time and sharing.
Thanks for some great, AFFORDABLE ideas!!! I use the Dritz Wash Away Wonder tape on zippers for purses--and on seams that are difficult to pin or clip--and I like it because it holds things in place and it doesn’t gum up the needle. But I have learned that it dries out pretty quickly if not kept in a sealed ziploc bag. 🤦♀️
Hey Tim! Thanks for the videos! Love your channel! As some others have mentioned, please be careful with that double sided tape. Tape not meant for sewing (and even some that are! 😱) will gum up your needle and give you trouble. I, too, have used the Hotop tape made for sewing and I love it. There’s another TH-camr, Christine’s Home Affairs who did a whole comparison video on different double sided tapes and her results. She sells tons of stuff in her store in Australia, so she definitely puts stuff to the test! I was going to post a link, but wasn’t sure if promoting another video directly would be appropriate. Can’t wait for the next video! 💙
WOW, I hardly ever go into the Dollar store, reason, never knewn they had such great "stuff". Guess, where I'm going this weekend??!!! Thank you for the great information!!!
That little push lid bin, I would be making a pin cushion surround on the top, adding elastic belt around the cup to hold thread cards and small snips. All in one sewing kit and clean up.
The baskets come in colors. I use them in color for small scraps for embroidering, works great. I put a colored rubber band on handle to show even more colors. I also use the pink tray. Love cup holder too --have those tools too just mine :)
Do you mean that you put a small length of the mesh tubing over the end of one length of rope and the beginning of the next (added on) length of rope? If so, how long do you cut the mesh tubing for this? (I.e., how many inches/cms does it cover the ends of the rope?)
I just found your channel Mr Tim thank you for the tips I am going to go see if can go find the led lights and those labels,I have not seen those anywhere I hope one of my stores has them thank you for that !!! I DO HAVE A NASTY COMMENT FOR THOSE PEOPLE WITH THE F'EN ATTITUDES WHY DON'T THEY JUST GO AND PRAY ABOUT IT !!!BECAUSE THEY REALLY NEED IT !!!LOVE YOU MR.TIM AND GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING !!!❤
Thank you for your kind words. As for unpleasant comments, I usually ignore those or try to respond with something that will hopefully help them move past their anger or distaste. In the worst scenarios, I can simply block seeing them. I prefer not to let those things spend much time in my thoughts.
@@timothytotten9409 I think people that comment like that should be put in there place that's probably why I am not a youtuber God Bless you for being so sweet!!!❤️❤️❤️
Dollar Tree bought out Family Dollar which had items at higher than a dollar. Dollar Tree has incorporated some of the stuff from there and at least in my area, the $3-$5 aisles showed up after that acquisition.
We actually have a Dollar Tree & Family Dollar combination store. One half has the dollar tree items & the other half has the Family Dollar items. It is different, but not bad.
We a,so have the $3 and $5aisles and I have found a few things thst are definitely worth the slightly higher prices! My gripe with the store closest to me is test there are no prices on the shelves for the frozen items while the other larger store still not far has prices listed!
I have tried their double-sided tape for holding down my zippers and hems. It works really well, except it comes up my needle a bit. There is a double-sided tape called Hotop which is excellent. Although it does cost a bit more, you get what you pay for. I'm wondering if those LED lights work. I'd like to put one under my sewing machine to light up the right side of my sewing needle area.
This is interesting as a Five Below just opened a few doors down in the same strip of stores. I’ve been to this type,of store in a different and was happy to find one near my home % but I went when the store first opened - bad timing! I have a choice of two $$Tree stores where I live and wow! How different they are! I’ll see if I can find so wmod these items in the closest one before I try the larger store!
The section is called Dollar Tree Plus. The things are much nicer. But I do not go to $1.25 tree for the nicer things. I find them other places sometimes for less that $1.25 tree. I do have that double sided tape for paper crafts and it works OK. I am not sure about sewing. The tape I use for sewing comes frame AMAson. It doesn't gum up my needles and it washes our. I am not sure it the $tree does that. Thanks as usual for you delightful ideas.
I really want more on the double sided tape! Then you ended saying you want that too!! So I will look forward to that Overall it was a great list. But I’m going to add to yours. I bought a shelf that is made to allow double stacking in your cupboard. The narrow sides legs were connected. Screwed the feet to the back bottom of a desk and put the power bar in it. It keeps all the wires more out of the way. Less things for your feet to tangle in!
You are way too obsessed with a simple garbage can you berate my intelligence and I really don't care what you're going to use an item for and that much detail I'm usually not this critical but this really hit a nerve this morning.
I love how you think out of the box. I always learn something. Thank you!!!!!!!
Thanks!!

Great idea on the bin markers!!
Oh gosh thank you I have large notebooks and you are so right they could be used for notebooks great !!!❤❤❤
Great finds and ideas to use the items in a different way. Thanks for sharing 👍
Tim I absolutely love your Dollar Tree ideas. I have to get to my Dollar Tree and do some shopping now. 😂

I make lots of different handbags and use Double Sided tape all the time..LOVE it!
Does the tape gum up your machine ever?

Clothes line is great cording for the middle of DIY piping

I love your videos!!! thanks for all you do
You are so welcome!
I enjoy watching your videos. I do use that double size tape on the zipper and it works very good
Thank you for sharing these items. Great video.
I use the Mesh tubing . I thread it over my cloths line rope to sew together to make my rope bowls on my sewing machine. Works really well.
Do you mean that you put a small length of the mesh tubing over the end of one length of rope and the beginning of the next (added on) length of rope? If so, how long do you cut the mesh tubing for this? (I.e., how many inches/cms does it cover the ends of the rope?)
Could you please clarify what you mean about how to use this ?
@@ecologytoday I thread the rope threw the mesh tubing then sew as usual ro make the bowl on the sewing machine

Interesting finds ❤❤❤
The bottles with metal needle tips, when used for Elmer’s Glue, always rust and clog. Get the ones with the fine plastic tip.
thank you for your videos
Glad you like them!
I used the cup caddy to hold my yarn when I was doing latch hook.
Such a smart idea!
Thank u so much, luv ur videos ... :)
I found cutting mats and a rotary cutter magnets to make a pin hold we tray & a few labels and double sided tape as well

If you measure your thumb the first part should be an inch long.
Measure the different finger spends ,,fingers held out wide. 😊
You forgot the most important sewing notion you can get: SNACKS😂.
I buy satin ribbon for crafting or sewing for 1.25 a spool.
lol. So true!!
The mesh rods look like spider legs lol😊
You’re already thinking the way I am! Just wait until the quilt embellishment video!!!
Dollar tree has merged with Family dollar that is why they now have the plus isles. 😊
Put your different pens pencils or scissors in the cup holder thing
I think they are trying to compete with the Five Below stores. A few good ideas in this video.

I didn’t see that at my store! Jealous. Lol
Tim, although I enjoy your videos, I have to say this...dollar tree and dollar general buys add to te throw away society that we are living in.
I appreciate your opinion. I work hard to find things that are actually useful to people sewing.
Every store does this. Dollar stores are a great place for affordable items that are useful.
If we’re using them… we’re not throwing them away!
The metal storage unit is terrible! Very cheaply made and falls apart easily!
Oh no!!
Came to the video at number 8 or was it 3.
Hahaha! I forgot to label them so I kept having to count them. I counted up instead of down that time. LOL!
The charger would make a great template for bowl covers. I have a hard time finding a round template for a large bowl.
What a good idea! I gotta make some of those.
I have tried the double sided tape for hem tape and sadly it gums up the needle.
I don’t think you have to sew it - the glue does the trick
