"One starts with W, the other starts with Target" 😲 whoopsie! Lol, Mr. Totten you are simply a delight to watch. I feel like I'm checking in with a friend when I watch one of your videos. Thank you for making me welcome.
Tim, first time I saw your video but I loved it. I am an extremely active 83 year old sewer/quilter and constantly for way to make storage easier. Purchased Josie tea caddy to make small pin cushion, clips n pins for travel. Purchased vegetable case for my Lori Hold appliqué pieces. Love, love. Sending big kiss
To be honest, that is the exact reason I clicked the video and ended up watching the whole thing so I could see the tackle box! Lol great item, I make jewelry so this is super useful!
"Sometimes you have to threaten them with real harm" nearly made me choke on my breakfast 😂😂😂 Thanks for the laugh, Tim, and for all the great tips on these products!!
My mom had my brother and me fully trained to never use her sewing scissors on anything other than fabric. My dad? Not so much. I quilt and do embroidery, so I have 2 sets of scissors in my house. One set is in my sewing room for my quilts, the other set is in our living room where I do most of my embroidery work. Both sets have fabric scissors, non-fabric scissors, and a nice pair of thread snips. We have other scissors around the house for various purposes, but those are specifically mine with a "your life is on the line if you misuse them" warning attached.
I caught hubby grabbing my fabric scissors to cut a package open. My chastisement, "You are NOT using my fabric scissors for that, are you?" in my teacher voice. He was so funny and immediately turned around and said, "of course not." 🤭
I have used shower curtains to make reusable shopping bags to sell at craft fairs. I make and sell a variety of items made from repurposed "fabric". Examples: denim jeans into handbags, men's shirts and sheets as lining for bags, shower curtains and tablecloths into shopping bags, etc.
Thanks, Tim! I’ve never visited 5 below but will now! Also, I just loved that tiny vacuum that you bought at the Dollar Store. Thanks for showing us all those nifty items!
I’m so glad!! I really love creating videos for people who may not feel confident sewing yet. Because we’ve all been that person and we need help to blossom. I hope you learn a bunch!
How fun to watch your videos.. I took one of the sections of the tea bag slots and put magnet strip around the top tp catch the pins as I sew. Placed it on the edge of my extension table. Thanks for the work you put into your videos!
I got the little vacuum a month ago, it's still going really good. I vacuumed the rag quilt to get all the little fabric dust and thread, worked wonderful.
There are a few things that stand out from childhood: Don't touch my sewing scissors! I love all your ideas of crafting items. Great video. All your videos are great!
This was a lot of fun to watch. I see a shopping trip coming up very soon!! I just wanted to mention something. While some items at Homegoods, TJMax and Marshall’s may be end of season etc, they also sell items specifically designed and made for them. My daughter worked in a small design studio in NYC. Buyers from Homegoods, TJMax, and others would call and pitch an idea, for example they’d want to see Spring gift baskets containing a fancy soap, pump lotion and a hand towel in a gift basket. Three or four designers would design different gift baskets. Then some Buyers from Homegoods would come in and choose the set they liked best and thought would sell the best, place their orders, and my daughter’s boss took care of arranging for the manufacturing. They would look at multiple products for most any holiday. These were arranged months ahead of that holiday to account for manufacturing, shipping and distribution to stores. It was fun going into Homegoods and seeing items that were designed by my daughter or others in that firm.
Interesting video. When you showed the “tackle” box, I immediately thought it would make an awesome bead box. Hmmmm may make a run to Home Goods. Thanks for the video.
I don’t drink alcohol so I always think chocolate is a great gift for a party. Or if it’s a housewarming, I love bringing flavored olive oil in a wine bag.
Btw Tim, went to the Sew Green thrift store in Rochester last week. I was really impressed. Picked up several yards of fabric. Thanks for recommending this store. It is awesome!
Stumbled upon your channel and glad I did. All those times I drove by 5 below thinking it was a sporting goods store for the cold and hearty outdoors person. Thanks for a great video. Signed your newest subscriber.
No guarantee it’s still there! Since HomeGoods and Marshalls are part of the same company, they might have shipped their old stuff over to HomeGoods to get rid of it.
You're brilliant, Tim Totten. My friend volunteers at the animal shelter, cleaning small cages. I plan to gift her a work apron, and I think a shower curtain is the perfect fabric!! Your other genius idea? Chocolate!!
This was great to watch and you suggested lots of good things to look for. I recently discovered a Japanese store that they have in a lot of the USA called Daiso. I looked and they don’t have them in Florida but there is probably something similar. It’s similar to Dollar Tree but higher quality. Most items cost the equivalent of $1.75- $3. After I found it and loved it, I took my husband and his jaw was opened and he just kept saying, “ I can’t believe how much better this place is for fifty cents more.” If you haven’t been to one of these type of stores, try to find one. I just searched online for Japanese dollar store near me or a variation of that.
I have never been in one of them but we do have one locally in my town. I'm like a kid in a candy store at Dollar tree and Walmart so I know I would be the same in there! Thanks for sharing and have a blessed weekend.
I bought one at Five Below. It doesn't have a "ton" of suction but does a decent job. I plan to use mine with my Featherweight while camping. Also, I saw these at a Dollar Tree in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for $1.25. I did not buy it so cannot offer any review on it.
Just found your channel Looking forward to watching more of your videos. love the tea boxes. I use the bigger ones. Haven't seen the smaller ones will have to look
Thanx for showing us the LED lights from five below. I have been looking for something to put near my sewing needle to light up that area more than the regular lights. I find I need the light coming from underneath the sewing machine on the right side of the needle and those would be perfect!
Seriously...that vacuum cleaner!❤ I changed the time of my shopping trip this morning to coincide with the 5 Below hours. Mine will go by the sewing machine for those pesky loose threads. I finally found a salvage store near me that was selling the basic Fiskar scissors for cheap....I bought a few pair of rights and lefts. Then I marked the blades with a sharpie as to which room they belonged in...kitchen, workshop, shed, etc. A pair for each. Then I made the guy sharpen ALL of my regular fabric scissors. lol He's a metal guy. He just doesn't quite understand how sacred fabric scissors are. Have a great big shiny crafty day!
Sorry I missed the premier, didn't get back in time this afternoon. Just watched your video now though, you had some very interesting finds this week, I like the clear box at the end, it would make an ideal sewing box, one section for threads, another for notions, pins, tape measure, clip, and scissors etc, another for small pattern pieces if you do English Paper Piecing, another for a small hand sewing project. And then you can either take the whole box from room to room as you want to work on you project or do some mending, or just take out the little trays you need for that particular project you are working on that evening in front of the telly. Yes, shower curtains are brilliant for lining beach bags, or small makeup bags, or the kids PE/swim bags for school, there's such a large fun variety out there now, they can be remade often without having to spend an absolute fortune on supplies, also try looking for kids character quilt covers to use to make them their school PE/swim bags etc. It's always worth thinking outside the box for crafting supplies, as some craft companies charge 3xs as much for almost the same thing, just because it has a ball of yarn or a pair of scissors on it, it's silly. A free standing kitchen roll holder makes a great yarn holder, to stop your yarn cakes/ balls rolling all around the floor. I have a beautiful marble one and it was a fraction of the price of small wooden yarn ball holder, and holds the large 400g balls no problem. Anyway enough rambling Thanks for sharing you time and ideas with us again 💐 Hopefully I will be on time next week 💜
Ooh I need some of those flip lights for my new fabric cabinet! Last time I was at Five Below I bought a large transparent dry erase board. I use it to place over my quilt blocks to draw out quilt designs. I used it today. It totally helped me map out a cool geometric pattern.
That’s a great idea! I’ve heard so many ways people use these small stools I almost think I need to make a video of just “10 ways to use a folding step stool!” Lol
Love the mini duster! I paid 15 dollars for that toilet light for my daughter - wah! It was actually on her wish list. Love the 6-compartment storage box, too.
I love home goods and have picked up several sewing room items. I bought a hamper with a lid and a large basket in the kids section for storing some fabric, I found a medicine cabinet with that has a glass etched design which I store some thread in and 2 cosmetic bags that are a hard case and use those for storing small items for my serger. I need that little vacuum next.
I just found your video this morning and like some other followers, I love several of your suggestions/finds! #1 The 6 compartment clear storage container. I could use that for a ton of things, sewing, paper crafting, etc. Love it❣️ #2 Is the veggie basket with strainer inside, to use for ribbon. That’s awesome❣️ Can’t wait to watch your other videos😄
WOW ,You are terrific.i watch 100of diy video a wk. I am a super shopper! If it's a deal I'll get it!!. You are interesting,I love seeing reg people discover the cheap stores bargains! You were fun I'll be watching more .ps I don't even see YET😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That disco toilet light is in our on-suite bathroom toilet. Our cat just feels the need to go stick her head in the toilet bowl to check it out & turn on the light EVERY NIGHT!!!!! hahahahaha
Thanks for this video. I just looked to see if we have either of those stores yet and good news, this time I hit the jack pot. We now have both a couple cities over (20 min drive). I am going to have to make a day of it. They are across the street from each other, how great is that.
My son & daughter-in-law took me to a Home Goods store , it was like being in heaven ! I could’ve spent most of the day in the store , rummaging thru everything, prices are great ! The store was in Cypress , Tx a suburb of Houston! The nearest store to me is in Lubbock I don’t like to drive there, but I found out there’s a new in store in Amarillo, that’s my shopping town , although it’s about 80 miles away !
Home Goods = FOOD! They have the most amazing variety of snacks and candies from around the world! I try not to go too often because I always over buy, but now I have to go to look for craft stuff! It'll all be your fault if I buy too much stuff again! 8D Thanks for pointing all of these great items out.
Love Home Goods. If I see something I really like, I buy it then. If you don't, chances are when you go back it will be gone. I haven't been into a 5 below, but might need to check it out. There is one near my Home Goods. We are actually getting a second 5 Below in where a Tuesday Morning was located. I used to find good things in Tuesday Mornings too.
All towels mostly get threads pulled. I even bought some on hsn and they were $50 and the did the same. Where can you buy good towels. JC Penny's I guess.
Idk why you remind me of Jackson Galaxy. but instead of cats & kittens you're into kits & caboodles! I love it! Can't wait to see more of your videos and ideas! ❤
Y the last item would also be great as a dry snack storage for a boat trip or tailgate event. For craft room I would store precut scraps. Many possibilities
Great inspirational, informative, and great 💡 ideas of items to use for other home 🏡 storage ideas and even for the office. And your great way with happy humor video presentation 😀 makes the video fun and very interesting to keep viewing. Thank you very much. I'm subscribed now.!
"One starts with W, the other starts with Target" 😲 whoopsie! Lol, Mr. Totten you are simply a delight to watch. I feel like I'm checking in with a friend when I watch one of your videos. Thank you for making me welcome.
Hahahaha! Thanks for joining me, friend!
I love that the tiny vacuum has attachments.😁
Tim, first time I saw your video but I loved it. I am an extremely active 83 year old sewer/quilter and constantly for way to make storage easier. Purchased Josie tea caddy to make small pin cushion, clips n pins for travel. Purchased vegetable case for my Lori Hold appliqué pieces. Love, love. Sending big kiss
Love it! I like to think outside of the box. Glad you do too in your eighties! Stay safe!
That "food storage" "tackle box" is a winner.

Hahaha. I didn’t say I’d really hurt someone. But I’d make them think I would. Lol. Glad you laughed. It’s my favorite sound ever
I laughed cuz my mom used to do that to us kids. And now I’m the one doing the threatening 😂
@@nbartist3823❤ love that 😂❤
Love the “shiny, crafty people” ❤ LOL!
You found some neat and inexpensive items! I’m going to check them out!
Omg, the vacuum❤❤❤
I know, right?!? It’s terribly cute.
Thanks Tim for the idea for shower curtains. I don't look outside of the box 😊. Love watching you Tim.
Glad you like them! I enjoy making videos like this because they make people think.
I’ve used shower curtains as actual curtains before.

“Shiny crafty people”. Love it!
I love things that have compartments to put my small quilt pieces in while putting blocks together.

So funny what we remember, isn’t it?!?
Thanks Tim ! I’m headed to Home Goods. It’s so hard to walk out of that store empty handed. Thanks my friend.
You and me both!

Interesting video. When you showed the “tackle” box, I immediately thought it would make an awesome bead box. Hmmmm may make a run to Home Goods. Thanks for the video.
Great idea! I don’t have the patience for beads so I don’t think about that as an option. But you’re absolutely correct!!
Philadelphia , Pennsylvania here. Headed there today. Thanks so much Tim....
LOL I remember my mom threatening bodily harm if I ever even touched her sewing scissors.
Chocolate is a great idea. It would make a great present.
I don’t drink alcohol so I always think chocolate is a great gift for a party. Or if it’s a housewarming, I love bringing flavored olive oil in a wine bag.
Like the tackle box for taking snacks to quilt classes.
That foldable stool looks great for a walk in closet. I’ve never gone into a Five Below, but it seems like a visit is due.
That good container was a great storage for different hobbies & see thru so you know what you got. Thanks!
Great for crayons at school!
I need that tiny vacuum cleaner
That tea box will be am excellent needle holder. The packets. Organized by type
I need one of those little vacuums for my craft room. It looks like it’s perfect to keep near my desk or sewing machine.
Great healthy snack box with some dip. Good for picnics or out in a boat etc.
Btw Tim, went to the Sew Green thrift store in Rochester last week. I was really impressed. Picked up several yards of fabric. Thanks for recommending this store. It is awesome!
That’s awesome!!! I’m glad you supported them and found good stuff.
GREAT ideas Thank you...... YES shower curtains are also great for my dog beds I make.
What a great idea!!
The tea box….. they’ve had those and ones with 6 compartments at ALDI for less than $5.00!!!
Giving me outside the box ideas - thank you
Loved the show, finding another use for new items
Stumbled upon your channel and glad I did. All those times I drove by 5 below thinking it was a sporting goods store for the cold and hearty outdoors person. Thanks for a great video. Signed your newest subscriber.
lol! The name isn’t really clear. I had the same thoughts at first and wondered why we would have that kind of store in tropical Florida! Hahaha
Like that shower curtain idea. What a clever idea!
I love that vacuum!
The veggie storage box will be awesome for storing cut quilt pieces
Such a good idea! Would work great with those hexagonal paper pieced ones I’m way too impatient to make. Lol
I like that storage for the food to put my sewing thing in . I want to run to Marshalls and get one now😂
No guarantee it’s still there! Since HomeGoods and Marshalls are part of the same company, they might have shipped their old stuff over to HomeGoods to get rid of it.
Check all three, even Burlington may have it!
great ideas!

I use glue sticks!!! Wow! It’s so helpful!
Love the vacuum and all the suggestions for items you found.
Thanks!!
Wow, that mini vacuum is perfect for cleaning sewing machines! I’ll have to check out Five Below to see if they still have those.
I made curtains for my sewing room out of a vinyl shower curtain. It works great and looks good.
Loved this video thanks.
Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you for giving me reason to go shopping. I’m going to Five Below to see if they have that vacuum. You have the best videos. Thanks again
I need that vacuum for my car.
Ooh I need some of those flip lights for my new fabric cabinet!
Last time I was at Five Below I bought a large transparent dry erase board. I use it to place over my quilt blocks to draw out quilt designs. I used it today. It totally helped me map out a cool geometric pattern.
I found the flip lights! Thanx for the tip. I also bought a little hand held vac but haven't tested it yet.
Great ideas! I have one of those foot stools and I use that to sit on when I’m gardening. I just put a cushion on it.
That’s a great idea! I’ve heard so many ways people use these small stools I almost think I need to make a video of just “10 ways to use a folding step stool!” Lol
I'm definitely getting that little vacuum! Being 5'2" I have those stepstools all over the house. 😅 Timothy, thank you for sharing your great finds!
You are so welcome!
Nice video! Thank u for shopping for me.❤❤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊😊😊😊
Just love your channel. Your ideas and helps me try items to use in my sewing room. Thanks Tim

I love the storage box! We stayed in a hotel that had a toilet that lit up at night. I like a little light at night when I'm staying away from home.
Well, if you need an disco in your bowl they have it! Lol
I vote you give the storage box to Bonnie to use as a tackle box! :)
I probably will!! She will appreciate your vote. Lol
Loved “hanging out” with you!
Me too! Let’s do it again next Saturday!

What’s cool is that my local Five Below and Home Goods are both in the same little plaza.
It’s convenient! Or dangerous, depending upon your willpower. Lol
Great video! Love the tiny vacuum, the light switch, and that last storage container!! I’ll have to go shopping.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That disco toilet light is in our on-suite bathroom toilet. Our cat just feels the need to go stick her head in the toilet bowl to check it out & turn on the light EVERY NIGHT!!!!! hahahahaha
Hahahaha. I have a cat who almost exclusively drinks (clean) toilet water. I need to do this now just to see her reaction. Lol
Thanks for this video. I just looked to see if we have either of those stores yet and good news, this time I hit the jack pot. We now have both a couple cities over (20 min drive). I am going to have to make a day of it. They are across the street from each other, how great is that.
That is awesome!
Enjoying the replay ❤
The foot stool goes for a lot more in other places. Including Amazon!
The food storage container originated in Marshalls.
Have it here!!!! in PA!
I love that place and my house is already stocked! I need absolutely nothing in there but I still like to go.
I love Home goods And I'll need to check our our 5 below now. Thanks.
Home Goods = FOOD! They have the most amazing variety of snacks and candies from around the world! I try not to go too often because I always over buy, but now I have to go to look for craft stuff! It'll all be your fault if I buy too much stuff again! 8D Thanks for pointing all of these great items out.
You are so right! I didn’t have time to show that, but I will have to go back one day.
So true!!
I miss Tuesday Morning!
I use glue tips from purple daisies. Really like them.
I’ll have to check those out. Thanks for the tip!
All towels mostly get threads pulled. I even bought some on hsn and they were $50 and the did the same. Where can you buy good towels. JC Penny's I guess.

The Joie brand of kitchen utensils, storage etc are sold at Aldi. They have a double organizer like the green one for $4.99.
Nice!!
Love the ideas
TJ Max has some cool storage options
I need to use one of those little stools just to get in my sons Ford F450 because it’s a huge step to get in that thing
I can imagine! A ford f450 must be huge!!
I’m thinking that tiny vacuum would be good to clean drawers in my kitchen, too.
Cool I like the little vacuum. We have a 5° close to me.
Wish we had those stores here in Hawaii. We are lucky to have Walmart, Ross and Target.🤨 But there is also Temu and Amazon! 😄
Y the last item would also be great as a dry snack storage for a boat trip or tailgate event. For craft room I would store precut scraps. Many possibilities
🙁I missed the premier. I was searching for a piece of fabric ( still can't find it) Love all the things you shared though. Keep the videos coming! ❤
Another great video!
Thanks so much!
Great inspirational, informative, and great 💡 ideas of items to use for other home 🏡 storage ideas and even for the office. And your great way with happy humor video presentation 😀 makes the video fun and very interesting to keep viewing. Thank you very much. I'm subscribed now.!
The dollar store has great little containers I used to rearrange my sewing gadgets. Much handier.
Great tip!
